Bought an oil service kit from them after. Lot of internet searches - these guys are the best price for OEM spec. Side notes - the complimentary branded stationary was appreciated and will be gifted to spread the word.

This is the place. Incredible service, great customer service and really helped me out in a tough situation. My go to garage from now on I highly recommend them. After getting conned by MILTA Technology and their mechatronic unit failing on me just outside their warranty ( 6 months or 10k miles) i did only 534 miles in 10 months. They were rude and wanted even more money than the first time to fix the faulty unit they supplied me in the first place. I WISH that I just went to Bristol Transmissions first. Simon and the entire staff there were incredible. If you have any problems especially regarding DSG gear boxes or mechatronic units just come here. Prompt and faultless, cant thank you enough. A+

Great place for your car to be treated! I have always been made happy with my ever so troublematic Ford Galaxy's Gear Box until I got my car in for repairs at Bristol Transmission. The after service is so good. I even surpassed the warranty time but still got the service of reconditioning the gear box again. Automatic Gear Box issue. Go nowhere but, BRISTOL TRANSMISSIONS. Bristol transmissions supplied the gearbox oil change parts for two cars. They were good on price and sent the parts properly packed and they arrived on time. But more than that they supplied the information I needed for the oil change without making a fuss and gave me the time. They also came across as helpful and friendly, which is more than i can say for a lot of companies out there trading.

When no one else even the main dealer would take on my repair these guys wrose to the challenge. I gave 4 stars due to at first seeking a new gearbox when I had told them it pasted a diagnostic 2 days earlier this toke 3 weeks!.

Very helpful outfit. Correctly analysed a "strange noise" as a wheel bearing, rather than a differential failing as reported by a local specialist garage - saved very significantly as a result. They had a bit of a problem over the length of time the job took (because of Covid and Brexit), but otherwise a great service

I had my 05 automatic ford focus taken in for a diagnostic test as it was showing a transmission malfunction message on the dash. When i went to pick the car up they weren't able to pin point the route of the problem and I wasn't charged for the test as they weren't able to solve it. Great company, great customer service.

I was tempted to give them 5 Stars rating but thought to be realistic. Excellent workmanship. Transformed my car from jerking to very smooth and a real pleasure to drive. Eliminated all the doubts about it being temperamental giving me confidence to carry on doing the jobs. Very polite and helpful all round. Some people cringing about issues with their communications. I want to assure to those they are a delight to talk to. Gives you correct advises and their pricing is more than reasonable. As someone who is in the trade we have used Bristol transmissions several times. They are honest, sensibly priced, stick to their word and extremely helpful with problem cases. I will admit they can be a little slow but it's definitely worth waiting for. Keep up the good work

Highly recommend. Fixed a fault on my Range Rover Sport gearbox that had defeated every previous garage over four years!. Good old school mechanical skills no BS just a job well done and at a fair price. Official Land Rover Dealership would have charged at least twice the price. Delighted. (and I am not easily pleased).

Have a 5series 2006 to do automatic gearbox service and had quotes around Bristol for 500-600£ just for changing the oil , they did it for 324£ wich includes a proper service with new sump pan with filter, new gasket and oil,done quick in few hours,drove the car off like brand new, had some kicks when braking hard from the gearbox when it changes from 2st gear to 1st,that disapeared,brilliant job

July 2015 - Discovery 3 Torque Converter. Couldn't find many reviews on this company. Local Land Rover dealers were not at all keen to replace the torque converter on my 2006 Discovery 3 and wanted a fortune to do it. With some trepidation, I bit the bullet and traveled from west Wales to Bristol Transmissions. Left the car with them at 09.30 on Monday,they phoned me at 16.30 Tuesday to say the car was ready. Amazing service. Drove the car home, felt as if it was a new car, never mind the torque converter. Their building doesn't look inviting from the outside but the price and service are first class, and a twelve month warranty. Can only speak from my experience, but I will highly recommend, and judging from the cars that were in for work, so do several Porsche and Mercedes owners. Highly recommended.

14 months ago, I got my VW Sharan 1.9 TDI 6 speed manual gearbox repaired by Bristol Transmissions. They were very well organised and came with a reputation for quality work. Immediately the repaired gearbox and new clutch drove like new and has stayed like that ever since. I recommend BT highly and I feel much more confident knowing I have my own gearbox repaired by them than an exchange 'refurbed' box that may have just had a spray clean.

A big thank you for diagnosing the fault and repair to my noisy "transmission". You found a handbrake cable rubbing on a prop that ,my local garage could not pick up. This is where the ticking noise accrued from and not the transmission that my local garage said it was.

This was my nearest recommendation from ZF for a gearbox service. After some confusion, my car was eventually sorted out. Once they can get a tool to change the "lifetime" oil in my differential, I'll be back.
