The big chains who sell tyres just want you in buying tyres and then out the door. That is how they make the money. The wheel alignment needs someone with skill and knowledge and someone who cares enough to get it right, no real profit in that for them and did you know bad wheel alignment wears out tyres more quickly. Not really an incentive for them to do a great wheel alignment job.
And that is just what happened to my daughter at a big chain. They happily sold her two new tyres but she ended up going back 4 times for the wheel alignment which they adjusted miles out and never ever got it right.
I did some online research and found Bristol Wheel Alignment for her. She sent them a message one evening to make an appointment. Next morning she got a phone call from Curtis who paid attention to her concerns and re-arranged his work so that her car could be seen the same day.
When she arrived they knew who she was and what needed to be done, she was their customer and they treated her as such, not like just another nameless punter passing through.
Her car was the sole focus of their attention not just another set of wheels to process and get out the door as fast as possible.
She got a full colour printout of the alignment of all four wheels before adjustment and after adjustment. The work was carried out in an expert and professional manner and she was treated courteously and politely by Curtis and his team, feeling comfortable to discuss her situation with the car and the problems she had previously experienced.
When she returned home I looked at the reports and wanted to understand a few small points. I phoned and Curtis kindly invited me to come back with the car so that all of my questions could be answered.
When I arrived Curtis and his team were again super polite and helped me to understand everything that had been done and why. Curtis even did the alignment again so that I could see the process first hand.
This is absolutely incredible attention to the customer (and her Dad!) everything that could be done to support the customer was performed with skill, politeness and a level of curtesy which is exceptional these days. What makes this even more incredible is the industry in which this has happened Car Maintenance.
Curtis and his team not only have the sophisticated laser alignment tools and the talent to use them, but they also clearly display that they understand the customer and how important it is that the customer is supported and treated with respect.
Thanks you to Curtis and the team at Bristol Wheel Alignment for demonstrating the outstanding level of service you can get from a family business that cares and understands what it takes to develop customer loyalty.
