Been getting a noise from front left wheel area and wasnt too sure what it was. Phoned Greenlane garage for advice and was very helpful and friendly to my questions, and also said if im passing by, he could take it for a quick drive and diagnose the problem. Turned up in the afternoon (no agreed time) and dropped what he was doing to quickly take my Golf for a quick spin. After going for a drive he diagnosed the problem and was also will to put my car on the MOT ramp to further inspect, where he found another problem! So now knowing both problems, he didnt ask for any money or expect anything in return which is a rare these days. I would advise anyone with a problem to use Greenlane garage as they are a trustworthy, honest, friendly garage to do business with!

I got a very honest and reasonably costed repair done and some honest advice on if I should spend more on the car. Clearly they are not out to rip you off. A very decent and honest work place. I'm sure I'm just reiterating what has already been said many times, having recently bought a car from Steve I can say that this was the best buying experience I've ever had. Steve runs a garage and sells cars as an extra it seems, often from people in the village as in my case. Just stand on the forecourt and see all the locals wave and call out as they go past. You can just tell from this and talking to him that his reputation is everything to him. From the moment of the first call about the car to the pick up, and then follow up call as I had a silly question, steve was warm, kind, professional and chatty. I'll be taking my car back there for its annual service from now on...I would give Steve 6 stars if I could! Thank you Steve!

Really is very difficult these days to find ‘honest’ professional garage proprietors, however in Steve and his staff I have, I’ve been using his expertise for years and can honestly say unless I absolutely have to and have no other choice I wouldn’t consider taking my car anywhere else. He has my absolute trust and I can assure you he will not fix what isn’t broken (unlike some other shady outfits!) Steve’s reputation to him is everything and he will literally bend over backwards to help you. Give him and his staff a try what have you got too loose? Steve Fryer took over this garage from Phil back in 2007 ( I believe) I've always had our cars ( Wife's Son's & Mother in law's cars) serviced at this local garage. I know very little about cars but have complete trust in Steve and his team for quality work at reasonable cost. The only difference since Steve took over from Phil is his lovely affable personality. He certainly gives 'service with a smile' & nothing is too much trouble. Which I know gets him into trouble sometimes as he literally tries to please everyone! I'd like to recommend Green Lane Garage also for their skill in looking after classic cars. I took my 50 year old MGC to them this week, asking them to do a service and check it over for me. I've used a local MG Classic specialist previously with mixed results so decided to give Green Lane a try. I'm glad I did. Massive thanks to the Gent at Green lane garage(sorry I didn't get your name). Real caring people that helped us out. On our way home tonight we ran over some road kill and it broke the under tray which was half hanging off and dragging along. With 15miles to go this was not ideal. We stopped in the garage around 6.10 expecting to find everyone gone. The garage was full with cars and everyone was ready to leave, but without hesitation he had a look for us and decided it needed to go on the ramp to take it off. So he emptied the garage put the car on the ramp and made the quick fix and had us in our way in no time. Although this was a very quick and simple job the effort he made and the real care of helping is a type of decency that is hard to come by these days. So thanks again and we will certainly be using you as a garage for things to come.
