My audi a1's gearbox was fixed perfectly here and there is no doubt that MILTA is very professional. I dropped my car off at MILTA on Tuesday and picked it up on Friday, a very quick service. There were still a few minor issues after the initial fix, but after I contacted them, they arranged for me to come into the shop to check it out and fixed my gearbox perfectly in one day despite being very busy. The customer reception centre is also very neat and tidy and you can cosy up with a free coffee and a game of pool while waiting for your inspection, which keeps you from getting bored while you wait. All in all, a great level of service and professionalism, so if you're having gearbox problems with your car, then come to MILTA!

Time to write this belated review, My R36 was in needed of some DSG work, won’t bore you with the details. Checked the reviews as I don’t trust many garages as they won’t do a good job or they just take your car for a joy rides. I had a lot of work done as things were failing and it was stressful time without a car due to finding parts, testing, fitting, calibration etc . Milta team have bent over backwards resolving this for me in quickest time and few good will jobs, you won’t get that from other garages doing that for you. Service from Geza is very professional he kept me up-to-date on my car via phone/email, he very attentive in his diagnostics and goes the extra mile. all the work his team do is a high quality and say what they do, no BS! As Im fussy so I do check!. So no worries there, very trust worthy . Thank You All for great motoring to come :-)

I had my Audi A7 gearbox rebuilt by Milta. The level of service was head and shoulders above the rest. When trying to find a company to carry out the required repair Milta stood out from the first phone call clearly explaining what the likely faults were and a worse case price for the repair.
I made the decision to get my vehicle recovered 300 miles to them for the work and I can honestly say they more than surpassed my expectations. Extremely professional and honest. The price was notably cheaper than most other places I got quotes and they fitted a new flywheel I supplied free of labour charge! If you need an Audi Stronic gearbox sorted this is the place to go! I found Milta via this review site and had a dig around the reviews to see what I could find out about the service they provided, as it appears it was the service my sons Audi gearbox needed. The overwhelming response on 99.9% of the reviews is Honest, factual, professional, courteous and efficient, I have to agree Milta are all of this and more. After deciding we would use Milta I spoke to Geza who put my mind at rest and advised me the cost of the repair, as the repair were being covered by warranty Geza contacted the warranty company to put the wheels in motion. After a few of days the warranty company agreed to pay for the repair in full and work was commenced. In all the turn around from first getting the car repairs approved to picking the car up was 3 days and the work is exceptional. I would like to personally thank Geza who worked with the warranty company, it was a pity the insurer was working against Geza and made his job much more difficult. I would also like to thank Peter who tested and retested the gearbox which has performed faultlessly since we collected the car. I'd also like to thank Milta for employing excellent people who just happen to be fantastic Gearbox Specialists.

Drove the car down from Birmingham they tested while I waited, told me their thoughts on the issue and the costs there and then. I did phone them a few days later as I hadn't heard anything said they work was done and they'll call me the next day after testing. They did just that and I arrange to collect the car. Reply- only reason for 4 stars I had to call as it wasn't clear when you'd call me, and when I asked about the test drive it hadn't been tested on round abouts as that was the major issue for me and when the fault happened. Other than that I was happy.

Our car was collected by there recommended transporter , taken to there workshop , repaired and brought back to me with in the space of 5 working days.
Geza and the team where really easy to deal with, great communication and prices. I had a transmission rebuild and brand new clutch for over £1000 cheaper than I was quoted elsewhere just for the re build alone.

I went to this company to check the automatic transmission of my VW T5.
Unlike other companies they did not charge for the inspection and they gave my an honest oppinion - that I did not need any work to be done at this time, unlike another company who were going to charge £2000 for a clutch repair.

I have a Audi A6 which was showing transmission malfunction on the display, was jumping gears and making a loud noise from transmission, i contacted Milta and they instantly gave me a worst case scenario quote and talked me through the process of a rebuilt ( what I enquired about), they booked my car in before Christmas and diagnosed it straight away with having very low transmission oil due to a leak, they repaired the car next day and test drove it to confirm, they charged me 10% of what i expected. Brilliant service and very nice guys, I sent the car over from Birmingham and will always use them again.

Brilliant service. Sent my car off 3.5hrs away for a 2.5k repair job after 2 previous garages' advice. They were able to repair it for £500 when they could have just taken the money for the bigger job. Kept in touch throughout so I didn't need to chase them up and even put back the undertray and heatshield that the previous garage had just left in the boot. Sent a vw golf for a clutch repair. It was refreshing to deal with such professionals who established the problem immediately, did the work extremely quickly but also were extremely customer focused. All in all antop experience.

Phoned to arrange dsg fault on my Caddy.. was no trouble for the team at Milta..
Caddy was booked in and diagnosed..
They completed a major overhaul of my gearbox.
This came with a 6 month warranty..
Arranged today for the follow up checks @1600 miles since repair and again, no trouble to book me in and carry out the inspection, which passed obviously.
Their work is clearly second to none.
Caddy is so smooth changing gears now, never known it so smooth.
Would highly recommend Milta to anyone with Dsg problems or worries. You will not be disappointed by the workmanship.
Their customer area is well, amazing. Even their workshop is Ultra clean.

I just wanted to say thank you to Geza and Peter once again. Came to Milta in May 2020, mid pandemic with my automatic Audi A4 having transmission issues. Geza was my main contact and dealt with my car throughout, I received fantastic service, he was quick to diagnose, patient with all my questions and most of all he was patient with the warranty company which he had to provide a ridiculous amount of information for to push through the claim. Fantastic pricing, really clear on their website and they have a great workshop and technicians with fantastic knowledge of automatic Audi transmissions and other cars. They repaired my forward clutch piston and I returned later to have them repair my whole transmission due to another fault not caused by them. They repaired both quickly and communicated with me the whole way through. Not a bad point to end on but a really honest one, one of their technicians scratched one of my alloys, Geza phoned to tell me and when I arrived to pick up my car he covered the cost of repairing it - so, thank you! It's just such a shame Milta don't do general servicing as I would take my car there yearly!!!! Wouldn't trust anyone else to touch my Audi and drove from London & the South Coast to see them, these guys are very professional.

I can’t recommend MILTA more! These guys are very knowledgeable, professional, and transparent.
Today I had the 2000 miles inspection after the MILTA Technology guys fixed the 0B5 valve body + changed the dual clutch on my A7. Not only it took 10 minutes as described during the phone call days ago, but the service offered was spotless.
My story is that I’ve been quoted by Audi more than my car’s worth to fix the issue, whilst other local specialists wouldn’t even touch a complex s tronic. On the other hand MILTA guaranteed to fix the issue at a fixed price, and gave me a warranty of 6 months or 10k miles. It wasn’t a cheap car fix, but I’m sure no one could’ve done it better than MILTA.

I can’t recommend these guys enough. From first phone call to finishing the job they were professional slick and transparent as the viewing room overlooks the shop floor. My defective part was removed inspected and shown to me and then fixed the problem other people would not entertain. I live in north east Essex and the trip to Bristol was well worth it. I have an Audi A4 which had a Multitronic gearbox issue, I researched & researched & researched. I kept getting the same answer on all Audi forums - Milta Technology. If you can't beat them, join them.
Nothing unusual in this you think? I drove from the Czech Republic to get my car fixed by these guys. From my initial e-mail contact I felt reassured that it wasn't a problem, the understood my description of the fault & also the round trip I was making.
They encountered issues during the fix, they communicated immediately, that is proper customer service. The car was a few days later than planned when returned, but Geza would not let me have the car back until he was 100% happy with it as he knew I had an 850 drive home. That is comforting.
The garage itself is spotless. It has an epic waiting room, seriously. Does that matter though? Any workshop can have a nice waiting area, the value is in the service & quality of work, I can only describe this as faultless.
The pricing structure is clear, all work is explained, you feel part of the process.
As for my drive home, well let me just say that I didn't spare the horses on the Autobahn, I have my car back again, the way I bought it, I love my car again. That is priceless.
I cannot recommend Milta Technology highly enough, this is the way that car repairs should be done, an example to all.

Sadly I had a defective part in the gearbox after I had driven home. This is something that MILTA cannot control, parts are fitted in good faith, there's a reputation to uphold.
So this is where you find out how good your company is.....
From the commencement of reporting the issue I have been treated incredibly respectfully by Geza, trying to understand the problem, offering remote assistance, offering suggestions to help solve the issue (this was a faulty seal that lost reverse gear for me).
Now whilst Milta have not been able to fix the issue themselves due to me being in Europe & the current quarantine situation they have gone out of their way to help resolve the situation, offering to ship parts to the Czech Republic, and we have found a solution that works for us both.
So many companies would try their best to avoid repairs of issues, you can never say this about Milta, they have been a shining example of how a business values their customers.
Am I disappointed that I had an issue? Obviously, but you cannot legislate for Audi sending a weakened part to Milta.
Am I happy that I asked Milta to repair my gearbox? Absolutely YES! I cannot praise their attitude to protecting their reputation highly enough.
Would I recommend MILTA to others or use them again myself? YES! They would be my first and only call.

My Audi A3 Sportback recently suffered a terminal gearbox failure, while in have an MOT in my local garage. Since they couldn’t select any gears, they rang a local Audi/VW Specialist Garage, who said it was probably the Mechatronic Unit, which is a known problem. I spoke to them and they said they would contact the Audi main dealer. The Main Dealer only offered a complete replacement of the whole gearbox at an eye-watering cost. The Specialist then suggested I contact Milta Technologies in Bristol. I rang Milta the following day and spoke to Geza, who said it sounded like the Mechatronic Unit and asked me to email them with any fault codes and vehicle details, which I did. He rang me back promptly and said that the codes pointed to a failure of the mechatronic unit, (apparently it’s a common problem, which Audi/VW will not admit to or recall). He explained, why they fail and how they could replace the faulty unit with a reconditioned unit (which used genuine Audi parts). The price quoted was for replacing the unit and testing it to check that there were no other faults with the gearbox or clutch. I got the car transported over from just outside Cardiff the next day. Geza emailed to confirm arrival of my car and later that day rang me to say their diagnostics had also pointed to the Mechatronic Unit. We agreed to go ahead, as they were very busy, he said they would replace the unit the next day (Friday) and test it on the Monday. On Monday afternoon Geza rang me to say the car was driving perfectly and no other faults were found and I could pick up the car when I was ready. I agreed to pick up the car the next day. Milta’s workshop is outside Bristol, just off the Old Severn Bridge services. The workshop is spotless, as are the waiting and viewing areas. Geza explained what had been done, and went through their 6 month/10,000 mile warranty for their work. The cost was a fraction of what Audi wanted to charge and I would thoroughly recommend these guys if you need any transmission or other work on your Audi/VW. They also have a lovely tropical marine fish tank. Thanks again Geza and the staff at Milta.

I would highly recommend the Bristol Gearbox Centre (Milta Technology).
I have an Audi A4 Automatic and experienced gearbox failure. I was quoted over £3000 for a new gearbox by a local garage. Having heard great things about the guys in Bristol I asked them to have a look at my car. They very quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended that they reconditioned the gear box rather than replacing it. They quoted the full price of the work upfront which was half the price of a new gearbox, so I was happy to proceed.
The work and subsequent test drive took a day and a half and I was kept informed along the way with emails and photos of the work being carried out.
Since having the car back it drives like new! I am so happy and very impressed with their work and the customer service I received. 10 out of 10!!!

Outstanding & very very professional. After being recommended to these guys i took my audi a4 with a gearbox problem. They talked me through the diagnosis showed me what fault was and i booked it in to be repaired. Geza kept me updated and all the work was documented for me to understand the work they did which was full reconditioned box cleaned through,new fluids, new ecu and replaced cv boot too! The price was excellent for a big job too! I am absolutely over the moon the car drives like a dream i cant thank them enough... i would definately 100% recommed MILTA TECHNOLOGY. Thank you Geza and all stuff. I had a mechatronic unit issues on my DQ200 gearbox. All were sorted at a good price, better then anywhere else, plus changed clutch with discount (Never done this before, have 100000 miles on the clock) And, yes I can confirm that they warranty is true. Had and error code 2000 miles later. Geza arranges to pick up my car from Swindon for free and all repairs done again free of charge. Just picked up car today. Drove down home, everything works smoothly.

Excellent customer service, had intermittent fault on my SEAT Leon DSG 7 speed gearbox, so decided to take the car into MILTA rather than my local SEAT Garage. Glad I did, fault diagnosed in the Mechatronics unit which was reconditioned to a firm price and car fixed within 4 days from dropping off. I suspect it could have been done even quicker had they not had so many other cars in for repair, an indication of their excellent reputation. Car is driving so much better than even before I experienced the fault!.

The gearbox on my 2003 A6 went when I came back from holiday last year, my local Audi specialist was useless at sourcing a replacement. I saw the add for this place on eBay, and at first was a bit dubious but went for it anyway, and I'm bloody glad I did. Within 48hrs of calling them they had collected my car, diagnosed the problem (snapped chain so whole gearbox was shot), called me to discuss what to do about it, before replacing the entire unit with a reconditioned one plus a new fly wheel, and had my car ready for collection. All for £1500. You couldn't ask for better customer service, the car has run fine since (done 12k already on it) and have used them for gearbox oil changes as recommended, at a third of the cost of my local garage. 5 stars all the way, can't recommend them highly enough.

We are a mechanic garage and had one of our regular customer car broken down. The car was recovered into us and we had an initial diagnostic carried out on the car.
We knew that we lack the facility to fix the car and decided to send the job to an automatic gearbox specialist to fix the issue.
We got quotes from several automatic gearbox specialists from our area that were really expensive and they kept saying if there are more problems it will cost more. No-one could give us an exact quote.
We then got in contact with Geza through a recommendation who gave us the worst case scenario quote for a full recon gearbox with a replacement clutch. We were very happy with the price. They even offered to have the car collected from us at a discount rate. The only one catch was we were on a waiting list of 3 weeks as the guys were very busy.
We were a bit concerned as we were getting a bit of pressure from our customer but we still decided to go ahead. 2 and a half weeks later Geza phoned me to make the arrangements to have the car collected and the recovery truck came as scheduled to collect the car.
The morning after the car was collected I received a call asking me a brief explanation of the issue with the car. The same day I received another call with the exact issue and the exact price of the job which was nearly half the price that I was quoted from other automatic specialist around our area and a quarter of the price of a brand new replacement gearbox from VW. So we were happy and gave the go ahead.
Two days later I got a call that the car was ready and everything was perfect. I made arrangements to go pick it up. I went on the train and when I got there I was impressed with their set up. The guys are really professional and know what they do. They stick to what they know and are good at it.
Yes they don’t have the facility to wash your car but be honest a car wash cost £5-£10, these guys just saved you £1000s people should be grateful.
Anyway I could be talking all day but the most important thing is I want to say a massive thank you to the guys at Milta Technology, the car drove perfectly on the 160 miles return journey and I will highly recommend you and next time I would not have any doubt in sending another car into you guys for repair. Well worth the wait and very good value for money. Thanks guys.

Huge thanks to the guys at Milta Technology who had my TT 3.2 DSG in (with broken mechatronics unit) and back out again within 2 hours. The level of service was simply unbelievable, in a world where customer service can seem sadly lacking these days, the guys at Milta were exemplary. I was made to feel welcome, kept informed, provided with a wifi connection and free coffee while I waited and charged an entirely fair price for the work that was done. My car feels AMAZING now, I drove 100 miles each way to get to them and would drive twice as far quite happily if I had to have gearbox work done again.

Can't say enough good things. My 2004 Audi A6 1.9 avant auto had been having intermittent gearbox tantrums for a few months. After reading good things about MILTA on a few forums I thought I would give them a call. I booked the car in and drove from London to deliver it to them. I met with Peter and he talked me through the options and explained what the likely issue was. He scanned the car using his diagnostics computer and then told me it should be ready for collection in three hours! I went off to visit a friend in Bristol and had a phone call within an hour or so telling me that they had identified the issue and it was as Peter had suspected. I was told that the car should be ready within the hour and so I made my way back to collect. Peter and I were chatting for what must have been a good half hour about cars and motorbikes in general and then I got into the car and drove home without any of the hiccups I had become used to. It's now been a few months since the repair and I'm happy to report that things are still perfect and it's enabled the old bus to carry on for hopefully another year or two.
I hope not to have to visit them again in the too near future, but it's reassuring to know that experts like Peter and his team exist should something go wrong. If I'd taken the car to Audi they would have insisted on replacing the whole gearbox, which of course would be far more than the value of the car. MILTA have kept a car from the crushers, for now!

Extremely happy customer !!! Had an issue with my 2010 Audi A5. Went to Audi to check where is the problem. Car would not change gears properly and there was and burned oil smell inside the car.
After initial check, i was quoted for brand new gearbox as my oil filter broke and gearbox was burned.
It took me couple of days to find Milta Technology and car was taken to their garage in Bristol. Next morning i had a call just to hear that my gearbox do need to be replaced at all. Had my 2008 a6 avant off the road since March, audi quoted £7000 to fix my gearbox and everywhere in birmingham was way too expensive. Finally stumbled upon milta technology and they were brilliant. Despite being 90 miles away they picked my car up and sorted a full recon in no time for £1250 (a bargain compared to everywhere else) it took no time at all, very professional and when I went to Bristol to collect my car they were first class with customer service, very friendly and even showed me around the place. That is what I call professional service. First good impression is the phone customer service.When I passed through on a very kind and helpfull conversation then I already knew that, they exactly know what they doing, and I had right.They did a miracle to the car. They made a highly skilled job. They got everything done before scheduled time and kept me informed all the time, explained everything to me what was went wrong in the gearbox. It's always the knowledge acquired from passion that matters most. It took just 5 minutes to diagnose the issue and another 5 hours to fully recondition the gearbox and now car drives like a new one. The experience, quality and honesty is a rear combination i found when I dealt with them. IMPORTANT READ THIS please These guys are top draw! They quoted a set amount to fix our Audi s5 gearbox, they had endless problems with the job, (not their fault) just one of those things! Job ended up costing them much more than they quoted us, they were honest and straight up with us, went over time line but they worked with us and kept us totally informed at all stages, and made 100% sure they were happy with car before letting it go to us! And it didn't cost us a penny more than they quoted. They came highly recommended to us, that's why We went there, and I can totally confirm their recommendation!! Particularly dsg gearboxes can be querky, DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO TAKE YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE on price alone!! It may well cost you a Lot more in the long run! Believe us, we've been there on many occasions!! When jobs DONT go 100 percent to plan many garages will just escalate the bill, and unless you know and can prove the ins and outs of an auto box and its ancillaries, people, you will be in the chair!! PRNDS in my Audi A4 TDI started to flash and the car went into limp mode (emergency mode). I went to diagnose the car to Audi dealership and Paid £ 400 just to be told "yes your PRNDS " is flashing and problem with ECU. Repair cost?? Sky high. The other garages were not much behind.
