Took longer than was told due to my cars clutch seized bolts and cost more than was told due to extra part required

I had an MOT done at this place, and, look. I don't know much about cars - I only went to this place because they advertise with a big sign their MOT prices and it looks like they're the cheapest around. And I've heard that some garages will rip you off with unnecessary repairs or what have you. So I've been going for a couple of years and normally the MOT comes to about £100 with parts. Fine, that's normally what I pay whenever I get an MOT done, here and elsewhere. But this time I get a call saying it's failed it's MOT (again, no drama), and the engineer (J Peters?) says that among other things a brake fluid tube is corroded and would need to be replaced. I said that would be fine, and arranged to pick it up later. When I picked it up, he said that actually the brake fluid tube was fine and just needed tightening. Therefore he didn't charge me for it. It seems like a really small thing to give a 5 star review over, but this is the most actively honest event that has happened to me during an MOT - he knew that I would be happy to pay for something, and from my tone knew it was likely I wouldn't check or cause a fuss, and he still did the honest thing and didn't charge me for it when it wasn't necessary. Strong recommend.

Would like to give them more than 5 stars. First time ever that I’ve come out of a mechanics feeling that I haven’t been fleeced. The mechanics were clear about what needed doing and spoke in layman’s terms. Thanks guys.

Had two tyres fitted at Mr Clutch Fishponds. Good service & reasonably priced mid range tyres. Lots of tyres to choose from online from budget to premium ranges. No hidden extras with balancing & fitting included in the price. Would definitely use again.

Very good service, I had ordered a tyre that wasn't the right size and they ordered a replacement straight away and it was on my vehicle ASAP! Full marks and thank you Mr Clutch, I shall go to that branch again if possible, as I have in the past, they have proved again to be the best choice.

These guys were great. After being dumped here by the RAC in our motorhome these guys managed to fit us in pretty quickly. They also let us stay overnight too which saved us moving ourselves and our cats into an Air BnB which were definitely grateful for. And finally they were honest and helpful.

Perfect customer service, thank you. No nerves in going here, but cautious having read some of the reviews. Formulating my own opinion: perfectly fine customer service and they were very good in keeping me informed at all stages of the clutch replacement to my car, a Honda Stream, including when the repair took longer than expected due to an ill fitting part. The manager was very clear about the parts and why other parts of the system (the flywheel) should also be looked at, but this was not sold to me: I asked after reviewing a poster on the wall and asking about it. Two criticisms: 1. I had no idea they performed repairs other than clutches. 2. The reception area could do with a good clean and refurb. It's not pretty and looks grubby. This is in no fault that of the staff. As my Mum used to say: "You can't polish a t!Rd" :0)

Just had an MOT with this outfit in Bedminster. Great friendly staff and very efficient. All completed within the hour and also changed some bulbs that needed replacing. For £28, this is the best MOT around the Bedminster area. Fully recommend. Thanks guys

Had an MOT here last week, perfectly fine, the car failed so they had to work on it a bit. Seemed pretty reasonable at 115 for the MOT, a new tyre, new wiper blades and a new set of wheel nuts.

Staff friendly and helpful. Rear break shoes and cylinders fitted. At a price that was £198.00 cheaper than the quote I had from kwik fit.
