My car failed it's MOT unfortunately on a Tuesday, I was told that Saturday would be the earliest it'd be fixed. They were able to fix the 2 issues by Friday as they stayed on late to complete. January 2018 - MOT, Failed on rear brakes rusted and worn. Decided to get all new for all 4. Julian the manager is very friendly. The team seem very happy and provide in depth knowledge to the customer. Prices are very high. £700 for 4 brake discs, all new pads and a rear box exhaust for the vauxhall merriva. March 2017 - AA Member Referral to this garage. Andrew at the front desk and the guy who fitted my new starter motor were fantastic. Friendly and made great conversation. My first garage experience. Two minor matters that would make it even better: the windscreen wipers needed replacing but they could not get them from the Halfords shop down the road, I had to procure them and take them to the MOT centre; and they didn't inform me about the need for new wipers until the end of the time slot after they had the car for 2 hours and it would have been good to know earlier.

Brought my vehicle in for an MOT on Saturday. A problem with the brakes was identified and upon further inspection parts would need to be replaced. The garage was extremely busy and the staff were obviously working very hard so the problem couldn't be rectified straight away. I left my car and everything was sorted out on the Monday. It was inconvenient being without my vehicle but the work was carried out promptly and I am very happy with the service provided. Happy with what Halfords were able to do. However, not having an auto electrician on site and me having to spend find one and take additional time off work to get work done and then take back to Halfords for the MOT re test has been a huge pain... I would reconsider using Halfords again for my full service and MOT as they are not a one stop shop... MOT failed on Fog light not working.

I have used Halfords at North Road for several years. I Booked an MOT using the on line service, which was very easy and competitively priced. My car failed the MOT on a couple of "wear & tear" issues but also on a part that needed welding. Welding is not carried out at this garage but after agreeing it with me first, they brought in a welder at a very reasonable cost to complete the work. All other work was carried out efficiently and effectively. Staff are professional but friendly and I have no hesitation in recommending this garage.

Had our MOT and service with halfords autocentre last weekend. Booking online in advance was simple, straightforward and reasonably priced. On the morning, I got a phone call from the garage to request if we could bring the car in any earlier. The man was very polite, confirming that we were not obligated to do so but if we could it would be very helpful. As we were not busy, we brought the car earlier. Due to the cheap cost, I was apprehensive that we may get taken for a ride. However the staff were very friendly. The car passed it's MOT with no advisories and on collecting the keys the staff even commented on the cars good condition! We have since driven the car a few places and it feels smoother and handles better. All in all I think the service and the auto centre, provided good value for money and a great service. Thank you!
