From the first contact straight through to carrying out the work Chris and Heather have been faultless. Since we moved to Cardiff we have looked for a decent and honest car garage and we have now found it! We contacted the Garden village garage on bank holiday Monday and were contacted via email straight away. I phoned through to Chris on Tuesday morning and he was able to accommodate us and fit us in for the Thursday of the same week. Chris collected the car from our house (which we were a little apprehensive about) and instilled confidence as soon as we met. The car was back the same day, there was constant communication, transparency on the price and even a video. I have worked in customer service for a number of years and have no hesitation in recommending the Garden village garage to anyone I know. Keep up the good work both.

The standard of service is far above what I've known from other garages. Chris picked up the car and dropped it back the same day. Professional and friendly throughout, and happy to work around the fact that I was on night shifts. There was clear communication about the parts which needed replacement, and what the cost would be. They were ordered and fitted that same afternoon. Stress-free experience overall, so glad I've found this place, will be recommending to friends and family also.

Chris collected my car from my home, carried out a service and a diagnostics test, he then sent me a video of their findings on the diagnostics machine, talking me through everything. Couldn’t have asked for more! Chris picked up my car from my house and fixed the issue I had called about. Whilst there, he went on to discover a solution to a different issue that my car had, sent me a video showing me the solution before fixing it, and then resolved it. I also noticed that he replaced a missing valve cap on my rear wheel - small detail but nice touch. Communication and explanations were excellent. Great job to him and the team!

I would highly recommend this Garage. I had a tricky electrical fault with my vehicle and booked my car in with them. During the first call I was given advice to help limit the problem, communication with me was excellent throughout the time they had the vehicle and they provided me with information to what the fault might be and potential resolutions. All whilst considering what was best for me and my car. So far fault is at bay but they have explained the steps needed to completely diagnose the issue without having the car in their workshop for a long period of time. I have a specialist performance vehicle, Chris is knowledgeable and has all the correct kit to deal with such cars. I'm confident I will be using them in future and have no reservations recommending them.

If you have a Jaguar in the Cardiff area needing a service then this is the place to go. It is slightly unorthodox but...you will receive exactly the same level of work as at the main dealers with much higher levels of customer service and save money in the process. If you are not able to take advantage of their car collection service then they are handily situated on both bus and train routes into Cardiff whilst the work is being completed.

I had a problem with my boot not shutting on my Jaguar. Both Heather and Chris were friendly, really organised and very accommodating. The part arrived the next day and Chris did the job really quickly, he also cleaned the boot from all the gaffer tape I had on it - which he didn't need to do - but I knew if he did, then he was stuck with me from now on! I instantly had a feeling of trust with him - (doesn't happen everywhere) When I went to collect the car, just through casual conversation it turned out my MOT was due the following week - and I was going to be away all week. Despite having 22 other cars to do - he got in the next day and did the MOT. Great service, great knowledge, great guy. If you have a Jag - and are anywhere near Cardiff . . .look no further.

The Garden Village were absolutely amazing. Due to being new to the area, I turned up at the booking office (out of the blue may I add!) with lights on my dashboard as I didn't realise it wasn't the actual garage. Heather helpfully directed me to the garage and Chris did a diagnostic check within minutes and found out what the problem was which has been on and off for several months (2 other garages have previously been unable to identify the problem). Chris took the time to show me what the problem was and talked everything through with me (which was extremely helpful as I dont know anything about cars). Chris booked my car into the garage the following day, he collected my car in the morning around 10 and my car was dropped off and fixed at about 2. Cannot recommend the team enough, thanks so much!! I cannot speak highly enough of service, my car was picked up and dropped off for me which was really convenient meaning I didn’t need to take time off work. Chris shared a video of was required to be done and was really helpful with advice on what to do. I would highly recommend as the service was friendly professional and value for money.

I used The Garden Village Garage after reading some great reviews online after having issues with my car cutting out. Heather was very welcoming and her customer service and personal commitment to sort the car out shone through. Chris took the car to his garage and diagnosed a 'Fuse box' issue with the car which was detailed in a short video.He explained the problem would need to go to Peugeot specialist and recommended European Autos in Roath. Chris then went out of his way and phoned around for a price I could expect to pay (a different garage!) for new fuse box. My car fault must have taken at least a couple of hours out of Chris's day but as he didn't fix the problem there was to be NO charge for his time, European Autos have now fitted a new fuse box. The Garden Village Garage deserve 5* reviews, their service throughout has been HONEST, RELIABLE, TRUSTING and gave me great CONFIDENCE in their services. They will definitely be my 'Go to Garage' for my family in future and I will highly recommend to friends. Thank you both. Paul

Had problems with my brakes and consulted Garden Village the same day. Was referred to Chris who promptly arranged for a time for my car to be dropped off and looked at. Within a few hours the diagnostics had been carried out and the problem spotted. The service was impeccable and within a day and a half my car was fixed and ready to go. Took my car to Heather after 2 other garages couldn't find the fault. 2 hours later they found the issue and gave me a very reasonable price on labour and repair. My car would intermittently not start and after getting stranded a few times I needed it fixed. Not many mechanics would have the knowledge and patience to undertake such a job successfully as Chris did, fortunately no parts were needed having been told by someone I needed a new computer brain for my car, Chris removed part of the wiring in the engine and found two wires were rubbing together, repaired them and my car is running great. Brilliant service by Garden Village Garage. Had my Jaguar XKR booked in for MOT, Service and Electrical repairs. Absolutely Excellent!!! First class service. Have a XF and had a problem that other auto-elecs could not or would not fix. Jaguar main stealer wanted to charge £180 + VAT for diagnostic which may net even cover cost of repair. Thank God I stumbled across The Garden Valley Garage, greeted by Heather who was amazingly helpful who advised that Chris the auto-elec is a Jagu-thusiast could help, from first time I spoke Chris was honest, helpful, pollute and it was clear to see that apart from his abundant Jaguar knowledge he was a proper good guy. So good to get a garage that are so honest and conscientious, service was second to none, in constant contact with updates on repair and even set me over a video to confirm that everything was working. On top of that the repair was done in less than a day and the price was absolutely excellent, won’t go anywhere else for auto-elec anymore. I have had an ongoing and intermittent issue with my VW Transporter for more than a year now with diagnostic checks throwing up random issues, leaving my regular mechanic unable to find the issue. After a recommendation, I took the van to the Garden Village Garage where their mechanic diagnosed the main fault within a few minutes! The fault is now repaired, and for the first time in more than a year, I have confidence in my vehicle again. I really cannot recommend the Garden Village Garage highly enough if you are looking for a specialist mechanic. My van is now running like a dream, and thanks to the brilliant video reporting where the issue was explained in layman's terms, I can see and understand the issue myself (despite not being mechanically minded), and understand my engine a lot better. Top notch service, and highly recommended. Thanks to the whole team at the garage, I am thrilled!

I had booked my car for a full service and MOT. This garage offers a bespoke collection and delivery service which is very convenient if you have a busy work schedule. The front brake pads and disc if my car had worn out and needed to be replaced. Chris the mechanic send me a short video explaining the problem. The price quoted was reasonable and after I had given the go ahead they send another video showing the completed work. The car was returned to my house and the mechanic and the advisories on the MOT was explained to me. Overall very pleased with the service and will definitely recommend.

Chris and the garage did a great job fixing the windscreen washer system on my car. It was not working properly. One garage blamed the jets, but Chris immediately, and correctly diagnosed the problem as gunge in the system. He fixed it promptly - four hours after he came round, the car was in my drive with the system working perfectly. Great service.

If you are looking for an extremely professional, super efficient, smooth running, conscientious garage who go out of their way to take the utmost care looking after you and your pride and joy, this is the garage for you. Chris the Jaguar technician collected my pride and joy Jaguar F Type from my home, at the exact the agreed time. He was extremely knowledgable and passionate about Jaguar cars and also nearly every other brand of car we discussed. Within an hour he sent me a video showing the diagnostic faults. We then discussed the best way forward. I then had a call within the hour to say "hi Ian, its Chris, i'm on your drive!" Cant recommend Heather and Chris enough. They are taking car servicing, mot's, diagnostics etc to a level many top marquee brands should be very envious about. I will be using them for all mine and my families vehicles from now on. What a wonderful experience! My Jaguar XE was showing, talked through the causes etc. a warning light advising that the exhaust filter was full and a dealer visit was required. Matthew collected the car and later the same day sent me a video of the error codes, talked through the possible causes. Having given the go ahead and the work completed the car was returned but not before I received another video showing that the engine mounts needed replacing (a common problem I discovered). The invoice was very detailed and due to Covid the car was sanitized on my drive. Everything was completed at a very good price and I say this having worked in the motor industry. Lovely people to deal with, so what more is there to say other than my XE will certainly be going back to the Garden Village Garage for service, M.O.T. and the rectification of the mount problem..

I found this to be very informative and interesting and shows that the guys here go above and beyond to keep you up to date and informed about your vehicle. The work was then completed to a very high standard and it feels like I’m driving a brand new car! To make it even better, the car was returned to my driveway having been fully cleaned! I spoke to Matthew who couldn't help enough and took my car in and locked it up safe for the night (sending me a video to show me) before repairing it the following day. They did great work and really helped me out during the COVID lockdown. Needed my MOT done, but advised that while they were open and could do it, if anything failed they may not have the parts available and it could result in taking my car off the road. They would do it if I asked but Advised me to take the government grace period and they would keep in touch with any changes. As promised, contacted me a few weeks later to late me know of changes they had made and if I still needed an MOT they could do it. They kept in contact before picking up my car and during. Really went out of their way to pick up a dealership part for my car, which lockdown had made difficult getting. Car was returned spotless and in good condition same day. Just passed my test and got my first drive - a sleek looking Camper van - a bongo, to all those camper van enthusiasts. Sadly it is an old model so within a few weeks of driving it, the gearbox decided to give up! Panic! Who do you call? How can you trust their assessments? I have used the Garden Village Garage for a number of years now. I started taking my car to them for its MOT a few years ago and was impressed with a number of things. 1) Videos of the car and explanations of what needs doing - or not - as the case may be. This is great because you can see what you are paying for and they explain what needs doing and why. 2) Pick up and drop off included in the MOT and service 3) My car is always returned fully cleaned and on time. Recently I bought a car from the garage and traded my old one in. I get the impression they only deal with good quality vehicles and so far my new car has been great. They collected my car for Mot test (which made getting to work really easy on the day). It passed with a new windscreen wiper (which I knew was rubbish) and a minor adjustment to the headlights. It was returned, washed and cleaned inside and out. Being a younger driver and not knowing too much about cars I felt they were easy to use and very efficient.

Another year and another MOT with these guys. They offer a superb service, far better than any Jaguar dealership I have used over the years. Local as well with collection and delivery if required and the car returned valeted inside and out. (They even cleaned the boot out). Amazing service and would definitely recommend and not hesitate to use again. Credit to Matthew and the team.

After being recommended to matthew and his garage by a mechanic from ford for over 40 years as they could not fit me in with my transit at such short notice, had promised me that matthew would "take good care of me and my vehicle, as he was a good bloke", was nothing short of the truth, after the 1st phonecall on monday afternoon collected my transit first thing the following morning, only then to be delivered AND cleaned the wednesday afternoon with all work completed as i need the van for my job, being a self employed tradesman is the only way i can make a living, after the previous 2 mechanic's i've dealt with was feeling a bit doubtful to say the least, from the very poor work that had been carried out. After explaining my doubts to matthew he couldn't reassure me enough that i was in capable hand's, not only did he send a video of his finding's and explained what work was needed to repair my vehicle, he then called me the following morning as a courtesy call to see if i was happy, and if i was not, to only let him know and he would be more than happy to put right, i can honestly say that there are no problems with what matthew and his mechanics have done and that i cannot recommend the quality service i received from matthew and his very capable mechanics highly enough. I found and decided to instruct this garage using an online google search. I was a little sceptical about the review level, most of which were at a 5 star level. Sadly, I've just received my car back following an issue with the AC system and too must score them 5 stars. The fault was identified and explained to me in an easy to understand video which they sent to my phone. The car was cleaned inside and out and returned to my office where it was collected from with 5 hours. The total was £72 and I must have saved at least two hours of my time.
