Well done to Ben & his fantastic team on doing a fab job fitting a new grille to my car was difficult as the grille was the wrong size but they managed to sort it and spent double the time to do it! They were so efficient and worked so well as a team. Very impressed and I will definitely go back again for future body work on my car. Called Ben Friday for advice, he was free on the day to inspect the car and give me a quote. Took it back to him Monday night, rear bumper and splitter fully repainted, along with 3 other areas touched up also. 2x diamond cut alloy wheels also fully repaired and refurbed. Collected car Friday night, in pristine condition and all repairs done to a great standard. Great responsiveness, contact levels/updates, service and pricing. Cannot fault Ben and his team.

After assessing the costs and online reviews i chose PaceAutomotive. Ben the owner was friendly and open, advising he would contact me if the damage was more expensive than shown on the images. The car was ready before the stated date. On arrival i was asked to inspect the repair to seek my satisfaction, before i left. All i can say is ... factory finish ! Needed some work done after an RTA . As it was an older car I didnt want it to be written off as insurance companies like to do, so I chose a local repairer and was lucky enough to find PaceAutomotive Body Repairs . From the outset Ben was on the ball , as a go between with the insurers fought tooth and nail to get my aging Zafira repaired . This place is excellent. Came here for a second quote after a frustrating experience with a Toyota dealership. What a brilliant service from when Ben answered the phone during lockdown to a NHS worker after my car was hit by another they were all great guys .My side panels had dents and paint damage , the price was great considering when I picked the car up a few days later it was magic all damage was gone and you wouldn’t know it ever happened. Simply the best ! I was unfortunate to be the victim of a hit and run.Severe damage to my car and the van driver drove off at speed so unable to get reg no. Went to 2 other places who quoted twice as much & told basically no point in repairing it, car's not worth it. Well it's worth it to me. Might be 11 years old but 50k miles only since new.Then I happened to find Pace Automotive and finally people that genuinely care and want to help. Ben was very welcoming and put my mind at rest. Yes of course we can fix it!! The quote was half the price of other places. Ben even sorted the mangled bodywork to make it safe for me to drive.Car went in and was done this week and I went to collect yesterday. I had to double check my Reg'no as I thought it was a different car 😱 What a perfect job done. It really is as good as new. It has been a pleasure dealing with Ben and his team. These guys have done a superb job on my car after some disgusting (human being) if that’s what you can call IT, decided to take a argument with his girlfriend out on my harmless parked car. Anyway these guys sent me updates daily on my car, pictures and videos of the progress. Leant me a courtesy car so I could get from A to B and generally went out of there way to help in all aspects. They’ve removed dents, given me a wing mirror I can now see out of and done a fantastic paint job. I fully recommend these guys, friendly helpful and outstanding work. Being new to Colchester and not knowing any car body repairers I went to Pace Automotive Body Repairs purely because of the perfect reviews on various websites. Could they really be that good? After excellent customer service (including lifts to and from the bodyshop) the car was returned on the day promised in ‘as new’ condition. So Yes, they are that good! Ben, great guy. First impressions count. Job; Fiat Ducato bonnet, re-spray after taking down layer and promising (my version, may not be accurate). Completed in time. Fabulous finish and when replaced on motorhome, looked great. Noticed that a slight and very small area on edge of outer rim of was still soft to touch and paint not dry. This made no real difference to the entire job. Because of urgency of needing the bonnet back, did not return to Pace Auto. Should not require to be returned as finish everywhere looked and felt great. Area is not noticeable or spreading characteristics evident...All in All, very happy and reasonable cost.
