Bought a VW Passat from these and it wasn't in the best condition but wasn't terrible, just needed a bit of work. The tyres were bald, which meant I couldn't test drive it (if I did and got caught by the police it'd be 3pts for each bald tyre), which they changed them. Took it for a test drive and got a few issues with it, including the parking sensors and put a deposit down on it. They resolved the issues and I took my car away. A few weeks later, the parking sensors stopped working, I took it in and they solved the issue free. A few weeks later, it happened again, which they resolved again, free. Fast forward to a few weeks later, they stopped working again and they took my car in again and sorted it without a fuss, now just about all the parking sensor systems had been changed. They offered me a courtesy car every time too, but didn't need it as I have another. Big shout out to James and Richard for being professional and friendly. Genuinely seems like all the staff that work here are genuine and helpful. Well recommend this garage.

Very friendly and professional, from start to finish. I bought my car 3mth ago. We live in Chesterfield. Took it to my local garage in Clowne for engine management problems. £1000 to get it fixed plus they said my timing belt was going. Spoken to Csm Craig told me to get the car recovered to them. It's under warranty they sorted the problem and for less than £300 .these guys are professional mechanics and don't Rip you off. Been going for 8 years, got my very first car from them. Once visited my family's recommended garage and regretted it. They truly make me feel so welcome and valued, tell me truthfully what does or doesn't need doing... Often as I'm young woman garage's will try take advantage...even compared quotes to other garages and they deffo best in price, value for money and customer service. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Friendly service although a little disappointed a few promises were broken.. "we'll do our best to buff that scratch out before you return to collect the vehicle sir" type of promises ;:/ A little lack of customer aftercare.. some effort required on our behalf.. ie, had to return to CSM (25 mile round trip) for a bulb despite them agreeing to post us one.. 4 months on still awaiting log book.. its apparently my responsibility to chase that up now. I paid a little over the rrp of this second hand vehicle expecting a high level of customer satisfaction. Sadly I wasnt as delighted as they were when I paid them £5k in cash.

When we set up our business as a chauffeur company, we knew we would always give a 100% first class service and expected the same from whoever we chose to use as our maintenance service provider. We tried a few but found things weren't as good as we’d first hoped. We then decided to come to CSM in Derby where we have always found honesty, trustworthiness and good value for money to be far more important than what some might describe as “a cheap fix”. One late evening in December, one of our drivers noticed that the two headlights were out on his vehicle and it needed fixing as a matter of urgency, as we had further jobs to complete that night. I promptly called you not really expecting an answer. I was nicely surprised when I was told to pop it in straight away and it would be looked at. The driver was only moments away and it took you nine minutes in total to get the vehicle back out on the road. This may seem like a simple thing to you, but this and the countless other times when you have really proven to be much more than just an average garage certainly hasn't gone unnoticed by us! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for such a fantastic job you do and the way you carry it out, and not to mention for keeping us on the road! We will certainly not go anywhere else in the future and have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone and everyone that we meet needing your services!

Bought my daughter a little Peugeot 107 from csm, best price on auto trader. Staff were very helpful, car was serviced and mot'd plus we agreed on some minor cosmetic repairs which were carried out to a high standard.staff were very friendly and accommadating, had the car 3 months no issues.

We broke down a couple of miles away at about 3pm on a Saturday. We called CSM as Kwik Fit next door were not interested and we were running out of time and options. Richard (I think was his name) was really helpful on the phone, said he would look at it for us and diagnosed the problem in about 5-10mins of arriving. Took a bit off our mind as we were quite far from home so left it with them and caught the train home. Quick turnaround with the repair and was ready to pick up on the Monday. Fair and transparent pricing before works commenced. I would use again if I lived closer but really helped in a sticky situation of which we were very grateful.
