Having broken down on the A52 from Nottingham, I spoke to Danielle who was very friendly & helpful, so I went ahead & had my VW Golf recovered by my own insurance breakdown recovery to German Automotive. The guys were extremely helpful & professional - I can see why they get really good reviews as their customer care is top class & genuine. I would happily use them again & more than happy to recommend them to anyone thinking of using them if they are a first time customer.

I brought my car in for its annual service and Mot due to having bad experiences in the past. I decided to book in with German Automotive , unfortunately it failed on a damaged coil spring, they kept me informed and managed to have it all sorted by the end of the day and even washed my rather filthy car thank you 😊 All in all an excellent service, the staff were very professional and friendly. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

After a very long process of elimination, they team managed to find my fault, although the issue was never truly gone. I have to say though, despite not actually getting rid of the issue, they were extremely professional and thorough throughout the whole process. I wouldn't say it was cheap for an issue that was never properly resolved, but I suspect its one of those that could have gone on and on, up and up. One thing I have to say, they have the cleanest workshop I've seen in a very long time and a very friendly team. I would absolutely use again as i did not get the impression i was being ripped off

I Took my Audi RS3 to German automotive for a major service, haldex service, gear box service and pads and discs all round. The ladies in the front of house were very friendly and knowledgeable and visually explained what was wrong and how much it would be to rectify. I highly recommend this garage, I had some troubles with my car and needed a flywheel and clutch. Danielle responded extremely quickly to my emails and helped me throughout the process by keeping me updated. I have used this garage for servicing and fault remediation for 3 different BMWs that I have owned over a number of years. I have always found their expertise to be brilliant and the service second to none. It gives me comfort to know that they are extremely reliable and use genuine dealer parts. I always trust their fault diagnosis, of which I can't say for some other garages that I've encountered over the years... I have found that some garages rip off people, charging them for things that the cars don't need (particularly being a female customer). I have just had my wifes car serviced by Ian and his team and I can highly recommend them. I had been trying to reach out to the local main dealers who despite leaving messages for never returned my calls - I reached out to Ian who got me booked in promptly for a date that suited me. On the day the staff whilst very busy all had a smile and a cheery hello, as well as a quick chat, the work was completed faultlessly and the text message to say the car was ready is a great idea..... no more having to ring a dealer and wait while they find out if you car will be ready when they said it would be. woke to an unexpected flat tyre, called German Automotive, even though they were busy they managed to squeeze me in. As soon as i got to the premises i was greeted kindly and the tyre size taken. Contacted German Automotive for a DSG oil change. Really helpful over the phone, managed to get me booked in asap and came in far cheaper than main Audi and surrounding german garages. They conducted a free of charge safety check and reported back to me and also gave me a free bottle of wine due to being unable to clean the car that day. Both services I wasn't expecting so feel German automotive went above and beyond my expectations. Will definitely be back when the car needs a service. August 2021 - Updated: car was serviced and had its MOT this week. Another painless experience and I wanted to share a second positive experience with the team at German Automotive. Courtesy car was fantastic, kept updated, picked up a freshly cleaned and serviced car at the end of the day. I was really happy with the service I received from German Automotive. My BMW main dealer had informed me the brakes needed attention, but quoted long lead times and inflated prices. Dealing with German Automotive was a great experience, from my initial call all the way through to collecting a really clean car! The entire process was friendly and efficient. German Automotive came to my attention from a personal recommendation and I can see why. The car is due a service in August and I intend to return for that.

My daughters family booked to sail to Spain on holiday with there Motorhome. The fuel pumped failed the day before they were due to sail. So we lent our campevan which had a tick over issue. So at short notice German Automotive our regular service garage, helped out although they were fully booked. You were originally recommended to me by a business contact with fleet vehicles who had one of their mechanics check that the parts you replaced during a service were actually done (their previous servicing supplier failed this test). You provide friendly service supported by excellent technical expertise and, importantly, fair pricing. Went in for a routine oil service on my 2016 Audi TTS. They discovered that I needed a thermostat and a few minor items. Was a big bill, but as we all know too well performance cars are not cheap to maintain. On the whole though good level of customer service and very professional in their overall approach. Took it to Audi for quote which was astronomical so looked on german automotive website they quickly got me to diagnose the same issue as Audi but with far better option to repair approx 3rd of Audi price. Recently had some major issues with my BMW 1 series and took it to a local garage who had no idea what problem was and therefore couldn't fix but still charged me £95 for the diagnostics! However, a friend recommended German Automotive and I would highly recommend. Brilliant service! I took my e-class Mercedes in with an engine warning light. They diagnosed it as wanting a new NOX sensor which they could not fix - needs to be done by a main agent. They didn't charge me (they had previously quoted £90-odd pounds over the phone for the diagnosis - the main agent charges £100 just to plug their diagnosis equipment in) and had valeted my car as well. You really can't get better than that! Well pleased and will use them again.

These guys are the best. They saved me a fortune when the turbo packed up on my previous E-class Merc, and instead of the £1800 for a new turbo quoted by Merc main dealer sourced refurbished parts and fixed it for under £500. I now have a C class and appreciate the advice they've given me on servicing on a tight budget in the current circumstances (COVID crisis) having reviewed its entire service history to work out what does and doesn't need doing. I just bought a second hand mini automatic. I had phoned for a quote on a gearbox service. Mini advised not to touch it as it was a sealed unit. I spoke to the advisor at German Automotive and decided to go ahead with it. It was a little more expensive.....what a difference!!!! As someone that does thousands of miles per year my car is my livelihood and I usually break out in a cold sweat when it is service time for my vehicle. Trying to book a date for a service when a courtesy car could be provided sometimes proved to be a nightmare as there was no availability for weeks in advance. On several occasions I had bills over £1000 for the main Mercedes dealers to complete a service and replace items associated with the vehicles brakes. I was introduced to Ian Essex at German Automotive and during a conversation I learned that things had changed within the servicing sector and that moving away from the manufacturer would not invalidate my warranty and so I decided to give them a try. This proved to be a good move on my part as I was booked in for the following week, a courtesy car was provided so I could continue with my business and even better I saved myself hundreds of pounds in comparison to what I had paid previously. First class service given by a friendly and professional team and I recommend to all that you give German Automotive a try and I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

Having taken my BMW Z4 to a previous garage believing my CCV system had failed, the garage managed to incorrectly seated the spark plugs in all 6 cylinders causing a misfire on my engine. They further failed to put the correct type of oil in my car after doing a routine service on it. Having done some research and reading the wonderful reviews people had posted about German Automotive I decided to take my BMW to them to repair the damage caused by the previous garage. The work they carried out was absolutely fantastic putting right the other garages mess plus identifying that I had oil leaks from the filler cap, VANOS motor and cam position sensor and all have been put right perfectly. The cost was incredible, the work first class and now my Z4 drives like a dream. German Automotive as far as I am concerned have earned themselves a life long customer. UPDATE. Unfortunately having been previously satisfied with German Automotive they have now let me down. On Sunday 12 July me and my mate who is a trained mechanic changed the rear break disc and pads on my BMW Z4. We discovered however that the break disc protector plates that hold the hand break shoes in place have corroded and the shoes loose. On Monday 13 July I phone BMW Stratstone in Derby and ordered the parts needed thinking the rear backing plates just bolted on, however I discovered that like the front the wheel bearing also has to be pressed in and out in order to fit the backing plates. On Tuesday 14 July I phone German Automotive up having used their services previously. I asked how much it would be in labour cost for them to fit the parts I had ordered. The man I spoke to told me that even though I could show them a reciet and the parts are original from BMW directly German Automotive would not fit them for me as the parts had not been ordered through them this is company policy he told me. Further more he went to say that I would struggle to find a garage that would be willing to fit them. I could not believe what I had just been told and it left me shocked, upset and panicking as I really needed these parts fitting. My car I felt was not safe as the handbrake was no longer in operating condition as it no longer held the car in place. I have now found another reputable garage not far from German Automotive who are going to fit the parts for me and I now feel completely let down by German Automotive and will take my car elsewhere from now on .

I took my Audi A4 in today for an MOT. After explaining I had seen adverse feedback on the internet I was given a tour of the workshop facilities and provided with a warm, clean, smart waiting area and a coffee which was warmly received on a cold day. My car was MOT'd ahead of schedule and was given a mini valet as part of the process too! This is main dealer treatment without the high hourly rates. I would recommend giving this garage a go if you have a German car that needs work and I will be returning to use this garage.
