Huge thanks to MG Rover Mobile Mechanics for working on my 216 Cabriolet yesterday, and huge thanks to Dave for advising me on my inlet manifold leak. He kindly gave me a new gasket and after his advice, I’ve managed to remove the old gasket and it is indeed “gone”! Looking forward to my Cabbie getting back on the road. I spoke at length with MG Mobile Mechanics about my cars potential issues before booking a mobile repair, at home in my drive, for some potentially big engine issues - The week of storm Eunice! Business owners David and Kayleigh went above and beyond to get the car repaired (despite the weather), eventually recovering it from Portsmouth to Derby so the repairs could be done undercover in their workshop and MOT'd at the same time. All works were done to a high standard of professionalism, timely and at a very sensible price. The car now runs better than it ever has, pulls like a train and drives like new. I'm usually quite fussy about who works on my cars, but would very highly recommend David and Kayleigh's services. Their work is excellent and their expertise and helpfulness is second to none!

Took my MGF VVC to MG - Rover Mobile Mechanics for a full service and MOT. What and eventful day but was allowed to stay on site for the whole time whilst the work was carried out. It was great to be allowed to speak to all the team about various topics on my car. Kayleigh is very knowledgeable and I was never felt pressured into making rash decisions on the day. With perseverance ( due to a dodgy CAT ) she managed to get my car through the MOT. Their mechanic even supplied me with cups of coffee. Can't speak highly enough of Dave and the company as a whole. I have had a persistent leak that has been diagnosed as head gasket failure by two local garages and which Dave immediately found to be a leaky (badly fitted by a local "specialist") thermo housing. Dave did the cam belt and aux belts while he was here along with a service all at very competitive rates. The car is running as sweet as a nut and more importantly I have the confidence to take it on more long journeys. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend them to others and MG Rover Mobile Mechanics will be the only ones touching my car in the future.

Kayleigh and Dave are great! Never used MG-Rover Mobile Mechanics before but I wont be using anyone else again. Dave is extremely knowledgeable. I had serious oil seals leaking and coolant loss. Dave took to it straight away, he carries lots of spares with him (Even bought a spare coolant cap for those just in case occasions :) Really likeable, honest work hard dude! Absolutely fantastic service, as per usual. Kayleigh and Dave must see 100's of faces everyday, but remember you by name and car. I am a recurring customer of this business and even though my last custom was a few years back, they did not fail to recognise my face. Just had the head gasket and replacement head done by Dave himself at the garage in Derby and I cannot fault the work. Again his work never fails to amaze me, attention to detail, thoroughness and professionalism. The car is transformed and I have never been pleased to have it back. This is the second ragged out, Old, overheated MG I have brought to them and they haven't failed to deliver. The last one I brought to them covered 26,000 miles without ever having a mechanical isuue. Outstanding that they offer a 12 month warranty on the head gasket and for a 17year old car is unheard of. Pop in, see a friendly face. Dave will not mind you watching while he does his work. It's not one of them garages where you drop your car off and are pondering on the bill. Kayleigh kept me well updated of the situation and reminded me of any remidial work. All in all, excellent value for service and fantastic customer relation. I will be a returning customer forever. Even if I don't own and MG. Dave is the only man I trust working on my cars. I have been to and seen many garages over the years and I will only go to dave if I need help. I have been to countless garages and body shops only to be met with 'it's only a rover...' and the work reflects it. These guys treat it like one of there own. They wouldn't even let me have the car back until it was left overnight for a cold start to really see if it was fixed. Even if I don't own and MG in the future, I will always be coming back. Can't recommend them enough. If I had only one negative, it would be the wait time. But that is completely understandable given the quality of work given and Dave has so much work on, he can't fix every MG in the country at once. Hardly a negative as it is completely and utterly worth the wait. As always, fantastic work. If I could rate these guys 10 out of 5 I would. Absolute must if you own and MG.

Hi Kayleigh, please again pass on my thanks to Dave for his great work today. Arrived when he said he would, got down to business straight away and 2-cups of tea (just under 2-hours) later I had a new cam belt, tensioner, water pump, rad cap, coolant and he even provided a timing cover bolt that was missing and tightened up my bottom engine mount which was a bit loose. How you do this stuff mobile and at such a very reasonable price never ceases to amaze me. You are both also so friendly and don’t mind someone like me watching in awe and asking daft questions! My MG never has had anyone else work on it (apart from me) and it never will. Another very satisfied customer. John

Whilst my brother does most of my routine servicing, have used Kayleigh and Dave for more major jobs and will continue to use them as efficient, reliable with more than fair pricing. Most importantly Honest! Had cambelts done and was convinced I needed another job doing quoted at £ 200 . When checked it wasn't needed and sorted for me. When I bought my Mg Tf on my way home I broke down. Being on Facebook on the Mg sites I found mgmobilemacanics had some fantastic reviews and everyone I spoke to recommended them. I contacted them they came and picked my car up and said they would diagnose the fault and contact me when they had done, which they did they explained everything to me and gave me the cost and even sent pictures showing me the damage they had found. I have them the go ahead to do the work and was really pleased with everything they had done. Since then I’ve always had work done by them and always recommend them on Facebook MG F&TF uk owners club of which I am on as a administrator. I now count them as friends and go on trips out in members groups of which they are well respected in. I will always recommend them to anyone with problems as great work and great prices, very professional.

It was booked in for Head Gasket cambelt, water pump and stainless steel pipes as I had no previous history for the car. All I knew was it had been stored for two periods of 5 years. David noticed the head gasket had been replaced with a MLS gasket, and felt it would be silly to replace again, ( How honest is that, turning down business ??) whilst the cambelt was good, we both agreed to change it. They saved my wifes mgf when she crashed it, gathering up good used body pannels the same colour as our car so that it was economic to repair and saved it from the scrap man. Enlisted the help of the "mobiles" after having botched work done by a local company and fleeced of a sum of money. Dave came and diagnosed, told me that the previous company should not have attempted the repair they did (and charged what they did) as the engine was knackered and a Elastoplast had just been put on it. A replacement engine was fitted by Dave and Mark on my drive, in the rain and in less than 6 hours, all for the price of the lesser work carried out by A. N. Other!! Went back for a service before driving to Holland and will be back again soon as off abroad again. My Zt-T will probably get a visit in the future too.

Diagnosed timing out and corrected and so many little things corrected including two thermostats fitted and a cracked housing.. By previous bodge mechanics before I got her...
