Taken my work van (swb vivaro) here for an MOT for 2 years and these are my thoughts. Very strict on MOT which is what I prefer. If there is a problem with your vehicle these guys will find it. If your wanting your unsafe vehicle to simply pass without being thoroughly checked this isn't the garage for you. Staff are nice and will always help you out if you want to fix the issues yourself with brilliant advice. I'm into cars myself and think that I regularly check common faults and rectify them before MOT time however these guys found some unsafe issues which I have now resolved. Having a child in the van nearly everyday I would hate to be driving with a dangerous vehicle and well these guys might have just saved me from a serious accident. I pay £37 online for a class 4 MOT however unsure of standard car prices and I think this is well worth paying. After fixing the dangerous problems with my van, it drives like new and I'm not even joking. Over the moon with their findings and so happy to have the van in tip top shape for another 12 months. Cheers guys.

Greeted politely as I dropped my car off for its MOT and advised I would receive a call once the MOT was completed Received call but unfortunately car had failed on a couple of points. Always friendly and honest. Been taking all our family's cars to Mr Clutch for 15 years. Usually pass, but Alan gives a clear explanation if the car fails. If a car cannot pass the basicMOT test, it shouldn't be on the road.

Always take my car here for it's MOT, I've never had any problems or issues with either the people who work there or the service I've received. MOT is priced well below the official guide price, it's done on time and they've never said work needs doing that doesn't. If work does need doing they have never made me feel that I couldn't take it elsewhere (there's a £10 re test fee if work is done elsewhere). The last time I needed two tyres for an MOT, they didn't have any in stock so they drove to a competitor, got the tyres fitted and drove it back again to ensure I had the car for work on Monday morning.....all at zero extra cost. Highly recommended.

On Saturday the 22nd August 2020 my 16 year old car sprung a water leek the worst part about this is that I was due to take a friend to hospital for a minor procedure the following Wednesday so in my panic who did I think of first yes Alan at Mr Clutch Pentagon Derby. I explained the situation and he arranged for me to drop off my car that same day and telling me he would do his best to get the correct part from the dealers on the Monday and hopefully it would be ready by Tuesday. Well he and his colleagues went one better and my car was ready early Monday afternoon. I have used Mr Clutch Derby for years and their service, friendliness, professionalism has never faltered and is second to none. My gratitude and a big thank you to them all especially as I am a woman on my own that knows nothing about cars they always treat me with the utmost respect and I know I can trust them to do a really good job. I will be back.

I had an issue with my clutch and called them to see if they could fit me in the following day, unfortunately they were fully booked, however Alan said if I could bring it in he would take a look at it for me. He showed me exactly what the problem was and it was something I was able to rectify myself. Alan was extremely helpful and saved me a fair amount of money. This level of service goes above and beyond anything I have experienced before (except on previous visits to Mr Clutch Derby) and is now my first port of call for repairs and servicing. 1st Class Service!!! What a refreshing change to go to a garage who don't rip you off! The guys are really helpful and don't try to charge you for something that you don't need. If you're looking for an honest and competitive garage Mr Clutch is definitely the place to go.
