Just wanted to thank Ian and the team for a first class job on my beloved T6 Camper. The vehicle has been transformed with a huge boost in power, torque and drivability. Service was first class. Ignore the fake 1-star reviews from those individual who haven’t yet transitioned into adulthood.

Just picked up my Ford smax 2.2tdci from Dr Durham Remaps, it went to them in limp mode for dpf and was not running as it should. Well all I can say is.... "wow"! The car is transformed. Running a lot quieter and smoother. The power delivery is perfect. Not to violent but from 2000rpm it pulls like a train. It has honestly transformed my car. I was thinking of changing it, but it's going nowhere now. Ian and his team are a great bunch of lads as well. From the initial enquiry to collection of my finished car they have been nothing sort of outstanding. They are a honest genuine team out to deliver a first class service. I’ve been to these guys on 2 occasions, for a custom back box, a resonator delete and a stage 1 tune and I can’t recommend them enough! Totally transformed my car within it’s limits, and made the exhaust have the perfect sound I was looking for, instead of just throwing on a generic file and asbo exhaust and calling it a day…definitely will be back with my future cars

Just had my f30 335d xdrive for a Stage 1 software remap and dyno. June 2021 All 4 wheels dyno. Stock 317 hp 575 Nm torque . After software upgrade 403 hp 723 Nm torque as soon as the car was started I could hear the difference as the centre box and back boxes had Been deleted.when I bought the car. Drives phenomenal smooth as silk gear change rapid especially in sport and Launch Control this thing wants to rip your arms out criykee . Throttle sesponse instant . Well Done Dan great job

These folks go above and beyond! Had a crisis with the car and they took the old girl in at a days notice. You can tell on arrival that they are proud of the work they do. They're both friendly and reassuring which, when you're stressed, is bloody helpful! I was given an honest appraisal of the work that they thought would be needed and a full explanation of the work that was done afterwards. I was told about a few other services they offer and I'll be taking them up on it very regularly. Ignore any of the 1* reviews, they couldn't be further from the truth. Price-wise they are bang on. You get what you pay for and more looking at the bigger jobs and, considering this was an unusual one, their charge couldn't have been better/ fairer. In short; friendly, professional, honest, swift and efficient. 10/10 recommended!

Just had my 335d stage 1 custom remap done. I had a high end tuning box fitted and was not expecting much in the way of power gains but more in the way of smoothness of power delivery. But the remap is so much better than the box. Fantastic result. Communication and service wise I cannot fault Ian and the lads. Ian really knows his stuff and is at the top of his game. He is totally focussed on getting the best result for his customers. I have been tuning my cars for many years and I can highly recommend Durham Remaps DR to get yours done. So why the bad reviews on here? I have my own E-commerce businesses and can spot bad reviews from jealous competitors a mile off. I would like to give those people some positive advice..... When you stop being concerned with what others are doing and start concentrating on what you need to do to improve your own business, you will be surprised at the results. Posting bad reviews is a waste of your time and energy as a good company with good products and service will always rise above that.

The booking in process and advice was spot on and I left my car after checking in on the morning and came back the same day to a different animal . I brought my car here for a custom tune after being recommend by a friend. My car had already been remapped previously, but was not making the power I had expected with the upgrades I had installed. Ian was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had. After working on my car for a day, it was producing nearly 50bhp more than it did with the previous tune. The car drives nicer than it did before, and is noticeably faster. Very happy with the service I recieved and would recommend to others.

Went to the guys at Durham remaps with a problem with my Peugeot partner van. It was stuck in limp mode because of a problem with the additive tank. They remapped the van and sorted the limp mode problem. This was 70,000 miles ago and I've had no problems since. The van is much better on fuel and pulls really well. Really pleased with the work carried out and the guys were really easy to deal with, great customer service.

Took my van and Mercedes to Durham Remaps. Excellent service on my van and Mercedes. Bought a Ford Transit connect, but had a limiter on when I got it. Took it to Durham remaps, they took the limiter off and remaped it as well, I've never had any problems with it since. Took my Mercedes in the following week, it had aircon problems Durham Remaps fitted a new air conditioning unit with in a couple of hours, I wasn't expecting them to call me that quite to say my Mercedes was ready. Durham Remaps now what they doing, I'd recommend them to anyone, take your vehicle to them they no what they doing. Brilliant service and work done on my vehicles. Thanks from Express Same Couriers.

I have found Durham remaps to be a great company. I have taken my car there a couple of times. the first time I went I had a power problem with my Seat Leon, they sorted it out. They had the car all day and only charged me for half day. They showed me what was being done to the car. The whole team are friendly and approachable. They informed me of all decisions and I felt I wasn't 'led up the garden path'. I upgraded my car to a Focus ST and asked Durham remaps to put it on the rolling road and see if the car had any problems. They told me all the problems the car had and only charged me for the rolling road not the whole inspection of the car. Extremely happy. Bought a used BMW 1 series a few weeks ago and felt sluggish. Took it in to Durham Remaps who found the swirl flaps were clogged up and not opening and the rod was partially disconnected from the motor. One swirl flap delete and custom map later I now have a car which is twice as quick as what it was when it went in. Very very happy and will be using them again.

*Received a phone call asking if I would like to be 1 of the first to have a autowatch ghost system fitted as I had previously mentioned it. my car was the first 1 in that they had done. I didn't even had to ask for a courtesy car it was offered straight away. The 1 star fake reviews are laughable. Ian remapped my 335d, making gains over the current stage 2 map that was already on the car, with the DR remap it made more power and torque and smoked less...it made 382bhp and 705nm....very happy. I was so happy I visited them again 2 months later for a gearbox flush and change. Great bunch of guys.

Visited today very last minute needing DPF removal, EGR delete and a power map on a BMW 330D Although visibly busy the team made space and fitted my car in which was great. Very professional and very knowledgeable in everything that was being done. Lots of advice and help taken away and no pressure felt to buy or have certain things done. Clean workshop, well maintained equipment and a nice environment. Car has been worked on to a very high standard and this is reflected in the performance and economy gains on my journey back to Yorkshire. Highly recommend for anyone that needs any tuning completed.

Had my volvo v40 d3 rdesign remaped and OMG!!!! my car has come to life. The power (now215bhp) is unreal the torque is amazing. I was given the rolling road graph to prove the figures. I am using more fuel because I simply can't stop driving my car 😁. Volvo wanted £800 to polestar tune it these lads did it for a fraction of the cost. The service and professionalism was superb. Just had my new range rover sport in for a custom map for towing with more torque from the engine. Can not recommend enough! Travelling form Tewkesbury to Durham on the way to get my car "supped up" i averaged around 42mpg, with a extra 72HP and 128 torques i managed 51.2mpg travelling back home. Stage 2 re-map on my VW Golf TDi. Oustanding results. Smoother power delivery. 140bhp increased to 192bhp. As a bonus I'm getting 70mpg (9 more than I was). Great mechanics, very approachable and professional. Definitely recommend this garage. Can't thank them enough. 2 visit 1st August 2018 due to engine management light. They did full diagnostic. Turns out it was a loose wire. These lads could have told me Anything...but they are genuine honest guys. Only charged for diagnostic (some unscrupulous garages would have invented a fault and charged me £500). Wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Spot on these lads at Durham remaps Did a dpf delete on my vw t5. And a stage two remap. Also custom made me a stainless steel exhaust to go with it. Having had over 6 vehicles remapped by this firm inc Audi , various bmw , seat Leon Cupra (same engine as the golf R variant) I can honestly say this firm has been fantastic to deal with, even when I had a problem with a light activated on the dash on one of the vehicles one member of staff stayed behind to resolve this issue as I lived some distance away! All the maps provided the gains as promised and have quite literally drove like different vehicles ..... Went in to get a failed dpf delete fixed on my 2009 mondeo 2.0 tdci. Car was originally "repaired" at another local supposed "specialist" and was still going through multiple regeneration cycles, this caused many running issues. The resulting customer service I received almost pushed me to get rid of the car after multiple visits back to try and get it repaired and being fobbed off. Ian was very knowledgeable and explained why the previous software was unsuitable providing documented evidence from two software platforms. After tidying up some rough work underneath the car a new map was installed that not only fixed my running issues but also greatly improved the drive quality and performance of my car. The customer service was excellent and very reasuring. Top notch company, plan to use again in the future! Cheers!

Well, I can't thank Ian and the team enough at Durham remaps, unfortunately I sent my car to turbo pacs. And payed thousands of pounds to only get giving a broken car back. I could not trust turbo pacs at all. But luckily I heard good things about Ian at Durham remaps. And I can't thank these people enough. They fixed all the issues turbo pacs had given me,and cleared up the fact my gear box was fine, and didn't need to pay thousands of pounds to replace. and the customer service was outstanding!! Had my Mk6 Golf Tdi CR110 in to Ian on the recommendation of my uncle who runs a used car garage in Sunderland (were I bought the car from) after numerous DPF related issues took car in before work picked it up on the same afternoon completely transformed 70bhp & 110lb ft of torque gain over standard figures he also restricted the torque output as not to exceed the factory tolerances of the clutch & flywheel. Have had the car back nearly a month before a wrote this review and am more than happy to report there are no issues of any kind regarding aftersales customer service or my car having any issues since the work was carried out unlike reviews of 'previous' customers that's if these customers even exist. Also my brother had his 1.8tdci focus remapped the same day and again no issues to report in regards to customer service or vehicle issues since work was carried out. If you want a good local service don't listen to everything you hear find out for yourself like I did and I was not disappointed.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS! Durham Remaps have done an INCREDIBLE job re-mapping my Audi A6 3.0L Quattro. Ian is a true gentlemen, a really honest, knowledgeable and genuine bloke. My Audi is now a rocket ship but with increased miles per gallon and an extra 160NM and an extra 70BHP. Could not be happier. Done all the homework and everything was pointing to durham remaps. Once i spoke to ian regarding the map (seat leon mk2 FR CR170) i was sold. When my car went in i was more then happy with the service Durham remaps provided! Ian is a chap who knows what he is talking about and is a genuine person. Engine management light come on on my car and lost all power. I took it to have a diagnostic and it showed up as a fault with the dpf. I was referred to durham Remaps expecting to have to spend £500 + but when I got there I was greeted by 2 young lads dan and Bret who were very friendly who advised me to just try a 6 in 1 fuel cleaning treatment first so I did and it worked. As you could imagine I was over the moon only having to spend £25 instead of £500+ which I was expecting to spend. So good honest work from dan and Bret.

Took my megane Gt in to get remapped was told it had one already that gave it more power and was a ok one said I could take car away no charge. Said it had a flat spot before turbo come in and they said they could get it rid of it. So give them the go ahead now it's gone and I'm getting 5-7mpg better and the flat spot has gone the car feels much better got extra 26 bhp once done cracking service will use again

My ford focus mk3 2ltr tdci (140bhp,320nm) stage 1 map. Running sweet with nearly 185bhp and 400nm. This place i would recommend for mapping. I can see me using these guys in the future. Know what they are talking about. I even traveled few miles from the north as my local places didn't seem to cut it for me. Great work.

Went to durham remaps for a blown exhaust on my cupra. Lads put a custom centre box in and it passed mot no problem, was hesitant at 1st because of the negative reviews but they did a great job i will be back for further work and remap at a later date.

Phil and Ian were fantastic. I started off with a standard Astra VXR which is now something of a beast. I was quoted in excess of £3k by a very well known VXR Specialist for the work Durham Remaps have done at a fraction of the price. The modifications include: TX Front mount intercooler TX Top Hat Conversion CDTI Airbox Conversion (Piper-Cross Filter) Upgraded Boost Solenoid Upgraded Forge Recirc Valve Cortney Turbo Actuator Full Turbo Back Miltech Exhaust Upgraded Plugs Full Service Including Millers Nano Tech Oil. (This Oil Is AWESOME) It took Ian and Phil nearly a week to get the car perfect and no matter how much I pestered them to get it back quicker they wouldn't let me have it until it was running perfect. The car now pulls in every gear all the way through to 6500 RPM, I would say its close to 300BHP, maybe slightly more and the Torque is through the roof. A really professional company, well worth a look at if your wanting any work done. I have complete peace of mind and would happily recommend Durham Remaps to any of my friends and family. In fact they recently Remaped my Uncles Seat Leon FR (Midlife Crisis) and he loves it. Ian might even buy you a drink if he sees you out, but be warned he has hollow legs. I have an older Jeep the exhaust was beyond saving, and it was only 14 years old, went to Durham re maps on advice of a local exhaust fitter who told me that they made custon stainless steel exhaust systems ands that may bew cheaper than a new mild steel one. I went they quoted did the job in the time stated, a neat job the Jeep sounds and runs great , the exhaust witrh a lifetime guarantee (not a mild steel 2 year one) was actually only £20 more made and fitted than the mild steel one fitted. Well done made me a happy bunny.

Durham remaps is the place to go for your remap. I had my 57 vw golf 1.9 tdi 105bhp in there today, OMG......what a total difference, just brought the car to life. After having trouble with my transit i took it to Durham Remaps who removed dpf, done egr delete and remapped it, van is cheaper to run now and has loads more power when needed, also has the benefit of never having to replace dpf or egr in future, it has actually saved me quite a bit of money I instead of buying a new dpf from ford, have had other work done since and always a top job and great service, would highly recommend
