I had severe damage to a diamond cut alloy and tyre due to a bad pothole. ECS were very helpful and repaired the alloy back to new and provided me with a replacement tyre at a good price. At each stage I was informed about the progress and the attention to detail was amazing. Even although I'd taken the wheel in to them off the car, when I returned to pick it up they insisted in fitting it for me. There is a reason why ECS is rated one of the top 3 Automotive body shops in Edinburgh, I for one can definitely vouch for that. Right from the start, the communication was fantastic. I had specific requirements / expectations of whats needed to be done and ECS had the professionals (all with many years of experience) to meet them. From the quality of the service to the quality of the panel fitments / paint to match my car are all of the highest of standards. Even if things are taking longer than expected, they go the extra mile by letting you know ahead of time that they would rather produce things of quality than to try and just get me out the door because they have other jobs in line. I value most out of any business is professionalism and integrity which ECS certain has. Just got my Audi A5 Coupe back from these guys and WOW. It's a 13 year old car which I bought recently in otherwise very decent condition. It did have however some rusting and blistering on the back wheel arch, a kind of hole above the petrol cap, stone chip damage under the headlights and somebody before had scratched the entire length of the car with a key. On receiving the car back it was like none of these imperfections even existed, absolutely minted. Not only that but they also repaired some minor rust spots and blistering that I wasn't even aware of. Chris and the 2 techs were brilliant to deal with, coming out and explaining everything to me and you really get the feeling they treat the cars like there own. Price was superb aswell, paying much less than I had been quoted elsewhere. Absolutely delighted with the work, the car looks like it's just out the showroom. Going back soon to get my alloys re-done and restored to new. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Thanks to all the team at ECS. Mark.

After having one alloy repaired a member of the team was kind enough to point out an issue with another alloy which would cause it to diminish over time. Outstanding service at all points and a great job done! First day I went to ECS I arrived at closing time just after they had locked up and the man was in his car to go home. However, he stepped out his car, opened back up again and took all my details to get in touch with a quote. Was then called by Martin on his day off to give me details. Can not recommend this centre enough, from the very helpful and pleasant administrator who called me to book it all in and explain what work would be getting done, the mechanics who did the work, my car looks gleaming inside and out there is no sign of any indication that my car has been repaired and the colour blend from the re- spray is excellent looks as good as knew!!! Called Martin after seeing positive reviews on google. Was able to take car down that day and had quote emailed an hour later. Front end and bonnet of my MINI was damaged after a collision. Insurance wanted me to use their approved garage who wouldn't sort out the car for 6-8 weeks and had 1.5 star reviews. Booked into ECS, who did a thorough insurance estimate and had all the work approved within a week. Car was stripped and new parts were fitted over a couple of days. Level of service was superb and the finish looks great. Martin kept me up to date with the progress and I'm very pleased with the result. I'll look to use ECS in the future for repairs. Really friendly guys, excellent service, and repaired my car even quicker than their original estimate. New door and repairs to other panels are excellent - absolutely no traces left of my parking disasters. One of the few garages that're contactable online, too - several places I contacted for quotes didn't respond at all, but ECS asked for pictures, and followed up to get an in-person quote to fully asses the damage. I found ECS through Google when I was having serious trouble with my insurers whose approved repairers wanted to write off my car on the strength of relatively minor and eminently repairable damage to a wing and sill. Martin Shiels went over and above what I would have expected and ultimately took over negotiations with my insurers direct. He kept me fully informed of progress, on a couple of occasions calling at weekends or in the evening, and ultimately obtained authority to repair the car. I was directed to ECS by a large franchise company that I was booked in with to have a replacement front door passenger handle put on after my handle was ripped off by a driveway gate in the wind. The franchise company quoted me a couple hundred pounds for the new handle, painting the handle and fitting it. After a couple of hours they called me to say they couldn't complete the job as there was a dent in the door and some of the mechanisms inside were also damaged and they couldn't do the job as they would need replaced so I now need a body shop. They sent me on my way with the new painted handle that had cost me just under £100. On arrival at ECS I was met by Chris, and i explained the situation and asked if they could help. At the most I was hoping to book in for an appt. He asked me to wait a min and he would get one of the guys to have a quick look to see what needed done. Chris came back out with one of the guys (Sorry not sure of his name) he looked at the door unscrewed a couple screws took out a broken bit of handle from inside, took the new handle popped screws back in and my handle was on and working in under a minute!!! I was speechless and couldn't believe it, I was having an awful day thinking I need this done to get car MOT and it's going to cost me a few hundred. When I asked how much do I owe you, I was told nothing.......I was honestly so overwhelmed and couldn't thank the guys enough. Guys you turned around what has been an awful week for me with one thing and another and yesterday it was just getting worse until I arrived at ECS. Again I cannot thank you guys enough you have restored my faith in humanity and lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. I still can't believe my handle is fixed! I will be back to sort out a few scrapes and dents that need sorting and ofcourse the inside handle. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Thanks again Shell

Fantastic experience with ECS, got my quote by e-mailing photos of the damage (so no hassle having to take the car to them). Used the "express" service, dropped the car off at 8.30 am and it was repaired and ready for collection at 2.30 pm the same day. Excellent repair centre. I caused extensive damage to my driver side door and driver side passenger door by driving against a low corner of a wall. I knew the doors would need replaced and immediately began researching repair centres in the area. ECS had great reviews and were conveniently located so I brought the car around for a chat with the staff. They immediately confirmed that the car would need two new doors and took several pictures of the damage in order to generate a quote. The quote came very quickly via email with a break down of the work that would need to be carried out (there was also scraping to the passenger side of the veichle from a previous altercation with a wall). The quote was very fair but obviously costly given the work that needed carried out. I decided to go through my insurance and contacted the garage and the owner Martin had a good chat with me on the phone about what I needed to do to make a claim. He was very helpful and obviously very experienced. Furthermore, he also told me he would not charge for the repairs on the passenger side from the previous scraping in order to keep my insurance claim down. This was very decent of him and something he didn't need to do! The claim itself was an easy process because after I contacted my insurance company everything else was carried out between them and the garage. I left my car into the garage and the work was carried out quickly. It only took 3 or 4 days and there is an option for a courtesy car. When I picked up my car it was like brand new! The work was excellent and no signs that any work has been carried out at all. The repairer also cleaned my car both inside and out which was a nice touch! I would recommend using ECS to anyone. Very personable staff and professional work. The clearly value high customer satisfaction which they achieved with me.

Not only fast! The work was of the highest quality. The man in charge is called Martin and I immediately saw him as someone with whom I could empathise. He understood my requirements straight away and checked on little details such as door seals etc. Although the car needed a new door from Mercedes, everything was on hand within a week. I took my car to ECS following an accident for an estimate of repair costs, Martin was very helpful advising on the damage and how to go about arranging the repair via my insurance company. Due to the nature of the damage and the value of the car vs. the estimated repair costs, there was a risk of the car being written off. However, Martin worked with my insurance company to agree an alternative repair which was acceptable to me and avoided my car being written off, for which I am very grateful. Went to see Martin about getting some rusty fenders replaced with new ones I'd bought but needed fitted and painted. Not only were these painted to be practically an exact match of the matte black wrap I have on my BMW 320D but he'd offered to sort my disastrous DIY mirrors which many garages had rejected. The guys spent many hours on the mirrors and my car was returned with beautiful, smooth matte black mirrors. I couldn't have been more happy. Go and see Martin for your bodyshop worries. If you are ever unfortunate to be involved in an accident, insist your insurance company use this repair centre. Was rear ended which caused damage to tailgate and bumper to point of replacement. Insurance company gave me details of a ‘nearby’ garage, quick google gave less than favourable reviews so I checked for alternatives. Initially sceptical about ECS as reviews were so positive, but from first initial assessment to completion I received a first class service. Martin was tenacious in following up with the insurance company, contacting them on a daily basis to secure authorisation. As the car is a Volvo, parts ordered from Sweden, and again Martin was on their case until delivered. Missed my initial appointment for repair due to the early arrival of our baby, but no gripes from garage. In fact Martin called me from his holiday in Crete to make arrangements Car valeted for collection, no mean feat after a 2 year old making best efforts to turn the back seat into a derelict squat No hesitation recommending these guys for repairs, in fact I have a couple of minor jobs to other panels and this will be my first port of call.

Within one business day Martin's recommended accident management firm had delivered a replacement car for me, sent out an independent engineer to inspect the car, and had it uplifted by ECS. The engineer worked with Martin to agree a repair within the value acceptable to the third party insurer. ECS did an excellent job on the repair, and I would thoroughly recommend their work – and Martin's advice.

Having received a favourable quote to remove a small dent on the front wing of our car, I called to book the car in for repair. I was asked what are you doing today? Update............. ...Had a bumper replaced. The bumper appears to be a different shade of white to the rest of the car and told to let it settle 3 months. Also told it would never be a close match. Very dissapointed that they cannot even get a close colour match. Its a real shame as the car looks like the bumber belongs to a different car. UPDATE: I can only give praise ECS and retract my previous statement. My original disappointment was dealt with in a very professional manner and they offered to respray the bumper and match it to the rest of the car. The original manufacturers paint on the car was a different white tone to what it should have been.. So ECS had originally done a good job in the first instance. Offering a great customer service they had the good heart to completely respray at no additional cost.

I struggled to find a good accident repair shop in Edinburgh. Most places that claim to do good quality body work in Edinburgh actually don't know much when you question them and will just give it a "go". ECS was able to provide quick quotes off the back of a couple of photos and then delivered on those quotes to an exceptional standard.
