We phoned Jordan ahead to ask if he would check out the exhaust which was dragging on the ground. The car is used constantly as we are community nurses so for him and the team to look at it at short notice and fix it then and there was amazing!!! Thanks again Jordan, we'll be using you again!!!

Very unhappy. Every time I put it in for one thing, it seems to have something else wrong with it that wasn't there before. This last time they were fixing the fan next to the radiator. Once the work was finished I suddenly had a radiator leak. Something had punctured it. They would not admit any fault despite the leak developing the same day they worked on the fan after running fine for seven years with no leaks.

Brought car in to use the free service to check the exhaust. Turns out water pump is leaking as well as repairs needed to the exhaust. initially they were going to patch-up the leak on the pump but in the end Jordon the manager returned to say they had replaced a sleeve on the exhaust free of charge with advice to get the pump fixed. Hugely generous and efficient and car no longer makes that horrendous noise. thank you so so much!!! have used the garage in the past and would definitely consider using again.

Tyres good price. Arrived at garage. Parking is difficult. I was first asked to 'move my car' but the guy at desk was much friendlier. I was offered the wheel tracking at £65. This is far too expensive. Other national retailers offering for £35. I booked in with them instead.

I used the Tool on the Kwik fit website to select a new battery for my Jaguar E-Pace, I went along at the time slot i was given but the job took longer than expected main reason being the battery I picked was too big for the space in the car, they had to give me a smaller battery which it turns out was £11 more expensive. I wouldn't have minded had I picked the battery myself but it was selected with their tool. Apart from this I managed to get a 30% off voucher so it was still really good value for money . and the service was good.

Unbelievably nice, considerate and personal service. The type usually received through a small private business not a big corporation. My rental car had a slow puncture and the rental company was going to charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it. I could have just put air in it and returned it- no questions asked!! Kwik fit was around the corner, so we decided to see if they could fix it instead. Even though they were extremely busy, it being 3 days before Christmas, Charlie took pity on me and was very sympathetic to the situation. He said he would try and squeeze us in and as tourists we should go and enjoy the epic city of Edinburgh. Sure enough the tire was fix and my frustration with the money grabbing car rental company abated. Thank you Charlie and the team at Kwik Fit for a great Christmas gift of air pressure and a giving us a very kind Scottish experience.

Kwik Fit McDonald Rd have always given fair job-need assessments in my own case, and have always then done work well and in a timely way. Pricing can be a bit opaque though, not least in contrasts between on-line and on-site quotes which can be hard to unravel - something Kwik Fit need to improve really and get some consistency on.

I’ve been a customer at this branch of Kwik Fit for 4 years now and the customer service is always excellent. Yesterday afternoon, I discovered a nail puncture in my tyre and they happily booked me in later the same day to assess whether it could be repaired. The tyre needed replacing and they didn’t have the right one in stock but another branch did so they sent it over in a taxi, fit it, and I was able to drive away within 30 mins of arriving. Really excellent service from the whole team.

Been to many Kwik fits in my time and staff have no enthusiasm but this branch have been the best! They treat you like a friend which is how it should be. Great advice, great offers and great people all round. They put themselves in your shoes rather than just take your money. I cant praise the staff here enough! They saved my day. Travelling from Yorkshire to Inverness , I had a puncture just near Edinburgh, so phoned through to this kwikfit branch, they told me to come straight in, tyre replaced, great service, great price, i was soon back on my way with minimal delay. Jordan the manager was fantastic, he was a real star.

The usual road to the garage is shut due to roadworks (thanks Edinburgh Council). Ended up being 15 mins late as I had to take a circle round to get into the street. Was told it was fine being late as there was a job running over. MOT took 45mins and tester gave info on advisories that was helpful. The placement of the garage is unfortunate: placed on a residential, cobbled street full of dips, holes and speed bumps and has no parking outside because everywhere is always full, you have to pay for it and contend with construction vehicles acting like it's their own access point. You have to drive over a pavement that has lots of pedestrians to get into the garage. At the time there weren't free spaces inside but could drive into a clear space at the ramps. Pedestrians pop out of nowhere when you're trying to get out of the garage which doesn't seem ideal. I've given 4 stars just cos of this - can totally see someone running over a kid on a scooter/bike cos the pedestrians never seemed to look out for cars. Waiting area was clean and marked out well for social distancing. Staff are behind plexi at the computers and there's hand sanitiser to hand. Everyone inside seemed busy with cars and looked like there's a constant flow of cars coming in. Advise to keep to your booking time by planning your route via Google/Bing Maps before you leave and hope it's updated all of the pop up road closures and traffic restrictions.

I could not feel happier about my experience where I got three new tyres fitted. It could not have been a more efficient process, every member of staff was exceedingly friendly, helpful and professional. I request to pay to extra to put one of my removed tyres onto my spare wheel which they insisted on doing free of charge, and used a different tyre to what I suggested as they inspected each to ensure it was the one in best condition. After a squeal on the brakes, the inspection showed a jammed caliper. Requirement to replace all brakes and discs plus a new caliper. The work was carried out to time and cost. Brilliant from the start was in for my Mot the reception was amazingly clean chairs perfectly measured 2 meters apart face masks and sanitizer available in multiple locations. Went here today as have been losing air from one of my tyres. I was visiting my daughter in Edinburgh and had a 2 hour drive home, so thought I should get it checked. Not sure who I spoke to but he was very helpful. He explained that as they were very busy he wouldn't be able to look at my car for a couple of hours however he could put air in the tyre to keep me going. We were advised that our tyre treads on 2 tyres was getting low and would require replacement soon, Jimmy gave us very helpful advice and we agreed to get new tyres there and then. Had avoided a big chain, scared of being taken advantage of over price etc and gone for an independent garage. Ironically, we felt like what we were being told wasn't adding up and ended up phoning this Kwik Fit for advice. We weren't their customers and they didnt need to help at all but the guy we spoke with gave us really good advice and helped a lot. Because of the way we were treated on the phone, ended up bringing the car in the next day. Think it was Philip that my partner spoke with. Really reliable, respectful and not patronising service where she'd been taken advantage of in the last garage. £35 and one hour and everything was sorted - they'd been trying to get over a hundred in the other place and taken five hours just to let us know it would take another day at least. I had a flat tyre last night. My partner managed to fit the spare on and I had only about an hour of my day today that I could come in before they shut (plus, I really needed it sorted by tomorrow). I didn't think they would be able to fit me in, but they did! It didn't take them long at all to fit the tyre (they even checked the flat to see if it was repairable, which was a surprise, as I assume places would rather you just buy a new one). As a new (female) driver who is a bit clueless, I was pleasantly surprised that I was not at all patronised and they were incredible friendly and helpful! 10/10 :) I am very happy.

I have used Kwik Fit in McDonald Road, Leith, Edinburgh many times and always received excellent service. I have been just to get my tyres checked when a warning light comes on that I have reduced pressure. Each time they have checked the tyres and corrected the pressures and unlike other places I have been to have not tried to sell me a new tyre/s. I have never been charged a penny and would definitely use if I needed other services.

Wow what can I say just went in for a winter check the guys met me at the front door they even made me a coffee it's the simple things in life like this that make kwik-fit above and beyond the competition they took me round the car even checked the wheel alignment was ok for me aswell most places would tell you it needs done but no these guys were completely transparent with me and says the alignment was absolutely bang and no need to be adjusted and the only recommendations was for a wiper blade and a bulb world class service as always keep up the good work
