Very good service with extremely knowledgable engineers. I took the car initially for a quick check after a visit to a known rip-off garage chain where they have asked me to pay more than £ 300 for a minor issue. After the check the engineers charged me for what actually was in need to be changed (fraction of the initial quote from the other garage). I took it back for MOT and the engineers for another time treat us very well, with detailed explanation of the issue and charging us for only what it was necessary to be changed. I cannot recommend enough this garage!

I used Stenhouse from 2013 to 2021, before moving out of the area. Throughout that time Stenhouse took care of both of my cars: a beat up old Fiesta that they kept going long past its sell-by date, and a more modern Seat Leon. They provide trustworthy advice, are upfront about their fees, and I trusted them completely with my car. I leave a very satisfied customer.

I've been using Stenhouse Motors for two years now and I'm always happy with the service I receive and the price, especially as Kenny goes the extra mile to explain any work that needs doing with diagrams and even models. They were also very accommodating about letting me drop off my car before they open and ensuring it was ready so that I could collect it during a break in my work schedule. They're not always great at answering the phone so I'd recommend emailing them!

My partner previously had his MOT done at Stenhouse and hasn't stopped singing their praises since. I recently had an odd noise coming from my car and given the recommendation from my partner I booked in with Stenhouse for them to have a look at the issue. They are located conveniently on Slateford Road and booking in the inspection was straight forward. Kenny gave me a call in the afternoon letting me know my car was ready and when I arrived to collect he was really informative as to what the issue was and what was done. Highly recommend this garage as professional, friendly, trustworthy and great value.

Excellent and highly professional garage with great customer service and very reasonable prices, one of the best ones around! I've been servicing my cars (Volvo and Ford Estate) since a few years here and always had a good experience with Kenny and his team at Stenhouse Motor Engineers. When I had an emergency issue with an engine fault and noisy breaks Kenny and his team were able to provide fast and professional help to fix the problem. In the end the cost were only a third of the offered repair price of a specialised Volvo or Ford mechanic! Also, for minor issues like fixing light bulbs, quick checks or consulting they usually won't you charge for it, which clearly demonstrates that these guys really care about keeping their customers happy!

Had my elderly Triumph motorcycle MOT'd at Stenhouse the other week and it was fine. They seemed quite thorough and it was done on time with no issues. Only one guy that can do the motorcycle MOTs I think, but as long as he's there, you should be able to get booked in easily 👍

I started using Stenhouse Motors just after the last lockdown when I needed a new battery fitted. This was done quickly and efficiently at my address. I've since had my MOT carried out by them. I've just had to call them out again when they had to tow my car to their premises as it needed a new clutch and flywheel fitted. I have been very impressed with the service I have received and I certainly would recommend them highly as I don't feel they're trying to rip anybody off. I was even shown the wear and tear on the old parts and given an explanation as to why they needed replaced. Sadly I lost my husband early last year and he always dealt with anything car related for me so all the more reason I'm glad to have found somewhere I feel I can trust and Kenny in particular is great to deal with.

Excellent customer service. They fitted my car in with just 2 days notice to investigate the engine light being on which was found to be due to an intermittent fault. Kenny drove the car around to check it was ok before I collected it and explained everything really clearly. They cleaned it as well and didn’t charge anything for either service! Arnold Clark tried to charge me £700 at my last service - it didn't feel right as the car drove perfectly... so I took it to Stenhouse Garage, they looked at it straightaway and concluded nothing was actually wrong with my car! A bit of grease but no faulty parts and no advisories. Safe to drive and I'll go back to them at MOT time. They charged me nothing for looking at it, Kenny reassured me with a great explanation and they even gave my car a free wash, polish & hoover! Awesome. Honest, human service that has never tried to fleece a non-petrol-head like myself out of my cash, through whistling, gritted teeth, spouting jargon and rapid intakes of shocked breath. Unlike most garages. They just fixed my car, gave honest advice and remedied a problem that they might have caused quickly, fuss free and refreshingly cheaply. I'd always go back and would totally recommend. Brilliant! Smells like a good value oil change, if slightly oily.

A massive thank you to Ronnie and team. I stupidly put petrol in a diesel car today. Ronnie got out to us in 5 mins and towed the car back fast, draining the tank and moving quickly to replace filters and pumps. Against the odds he saved the engine and had the car ready for us within 3 hours. This mistake could have cost us thousands if it hadn’t been for his help. This isn’t the first time Stenhouse have saved the day - Ronnie and team go above and beyond. We can’t recemmend this garage enough. Thanks guys - we are so grateful.

This garage is like an oasis in the desert as it does MOTs for scooters and motorbikes. Drop your bike off in the morning and it's usually done by lunchtime. They let you leave your gear there while you head to town. A great service all round.
