Looking further afield, I tracked down BestFit services in Glasgow. Farid and the team were incredibly helpful. Not only did they make time to look into ASAP, they were confident in being able to fix.
While the car was with them, they also managed to squeeze in a service/MOT and a brake clean.
Will be scheduling holidays to coincide with future servicing.

L. K.I've been taking my cars to the team at Best Fit for the last 10 years for MOT, servicing and general repairs and the service has been consistently spot on.
I have an older car so my MOT can be a bit of a worry, but the team are brilliant when explaining any issues and any repairs needed have been done quickly with quality parts and at a reasonable cost.
I've had a couple of emergencies and the guys have been great at squeezing me in to get me back on the road. Can't recommend Best Fit enough - thanks guys!

Called up mid morning Monday they were able fit it in during the day, When I turned up Andy the mechanic was professional and friendly in our dealings and was able identify the fault there and then and give me a guide on the price. The pricing was fair and more inline with what I was expecting way more reasonable than the national chain up the road who wanted what Best Fit were going to charge and my right arm.
I was able to come back after work past 5pm as they were open until 6pm this was super helpful staying open for an hour longer so I could collect the car and do a full day at work.
Another member of staff was in the office when I arrived who was friendly and professional and talked me through the work. I was happy with what had been done and the service received.
I live locally and will be using Best Fit for all future works on my car, honest, good quality and professional. Thats exactly what I want from a garage.

I was in the area when I got a flat tyre on my way to an appointment and despite the fact they looked very busy they took my car in and got me in the road again in about 30 mins. They could have easily charged me for a brand new tyre and I would’ve been none the wiser but the were able to repair my existing one for a very small fee.As a young woman on my own, and totally out of my depth with a flat tyre, I really appreciated them not taking advantage of that!!! R. C.Got got my MOT done here today. Was initially slightly wary when the tester drove my car away from where the rest of the mechanics were working but discovered they had a dedicated area for MOT testing just beside the garage.
The vehicle was returned within an hour, with a pass certificate, and I was charged £20. Amazing price.
NB - If you're waiting, the reception area is quite cold in Winter. This isn't a criticism, it's just so you know to wrap up warm if you're waiting (there's a coffee shop over the road but it's obviously not accessible during Lockdown)
E. M.Great Service at Best Fit.
Brought my old Fiesta for an MOT, which was half the price of other garages! I worried that this could mean that I would end up being pressured to have work done there, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Unfortunately the car failed, and I didn't want to pay for the fixes that month. There was no pressure from the garage at all.
When I phoned back the next week the garage remembered me, and were able to get me in the next day to get things sorted out. I dropped the car off at about 10 in the morning, and by late afternoon they had managed to get the parts, fix everything, and do a re-test (a pass this time).
As for price, I had shopped around in the meantime, and had a fair idea of how much the parts themselves cost, as well as how much other garages would be likely to charge. Best Fit were very reasonable, and even offered to throw in a couple of small fixes form the advisory list.
Staff were really friendly. Man (who I assume was the owner) had a great manner, and when I walked straight into the garage the first time I arrived one of the mechanics showed me through to the office.
Will definitely use again, and will be recommending to friends.

The staff are very friendly and aim to get whatever you need done as quickly as possible. Another key factor for using Best Fit is they are by far the most well priced garage around! Throughout my experience everyone I have dealt with have been polite and helpful. £19.95 for an MOT is great, and have said they will retest for free even though they are not carrying out a repair my car needs (windscreen replacement). Will definitely use this garage again.

Go extra mile to help their permanent customers - my car broke down near their garage and unfortunately I did not have breakdown cover. I called these guys for help, who recognised me immediately over phone and came in no time, sorted the issue and did not charge me a penny. It's been 2 years I've been using their services and have absolutely no complaints. Once I lost some of my office hours because of communication gap from their side, but they understood and acknowledged their mistake immediately, tried to compensate waiving part of my bill off. I put my car in for a MOT this morning at 9am and, although sadly it did fail (which wasn't a surprise), the work required was all completed by 3.45pm this afternoon and I was good to go. They always show the problem with your car (if you're there) so you don't feel like you're being taken advantage of.
They never carry out work without giving you a quote and getting the OK from you first.
You can take your car without making an appointment and work will be carried out usually within one or two days.
Once I was quoted a price on the phone and told it was actually cheaper when I came to pay.
The staff are friendly!
Oh and they open until 7pm and on Saturdays 🙌

e. t.I usually buy 6-8 year old cars and have been going to these boys for a few years. They have always been great with me. Can't speak highly enough.
Front desk staff will even give you advice on cheapest way to get it done. Just an honest car garage. If your car needs work, they diagnose it and you pay the price to get it fixed without hassle. I usually get a couple of quotes and they always seem to come on top. Plus they tell you the full price. None of that "oh and plus VAT" pish.
It doesn't get better than that with mechanics.

My experience with other garages has been that they charge you for one or other fault for no reason but it was not the case with Best Fit Service Centre. H. G. 9.Suuuuuuper helpful guys there. We parked very near by and had a problem with our car battery. (the lights were left on over night).
The service couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. It was pouring it down with rain outside, but still the guys just came out with their car, parked up next to ours and helped us start up the car with their booster cable. It was no bother for them.
When we offered to pay for their services, they declined and said that is was just what anyone would do, to help someone in need.

I found Best Fit by chance and now wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The service is friendly, the staff are helpful and the value is great. Everything is told to you straight and there's no hassle or pressure, just a great team and great service.
N. S.Went in with a punctured tyre after work. Staff were nice and non fuss. Tyre needed changing and luckily I had a spare in the car so fitted it very quick and at a good price. Will be using them again.
r.Took my wife's car in for a service and MOT got it back within 2 days repaired. The cost was resonable as it needed some work to pass. I have used a few garages over the years who have given OK service, but these guys gave a good service and where timely and polite.

I had a bad leak coming into my boot, went to best fit who I have used for some years. They had my car overnight till seals arrived, picked up car 5pm next night and the problem was explained to me very clearly. Took my car home and no rain for a week. When it rained it poured and pleased to say my boot was bone dry. Thanks best fit for a good job at a fair price.

A.l was happy with the speed and service received when l needed a tyre replaced as the usual larger establishments didn't carry the size I needed in stock and they told me run flats are not repairable. l was told here that they are happy to do repairs where possible for a small fee. l will be using this garage again for my next MOT as It's only £19.95 and l don't anticipate any problems. l will be keeping away from the Quick Fits and National Tyres. 👍

L. M.Last night I called in a panic for puncture
Repair. It was 6.30. Very few places still open. Guy there says he’d wait. Once I arrived it was clear ( he gave a reasonable and honest description) that it would require a new tyre. Unfortunately he didn’t have one in stock. He advised to pump tyre to highest psi in order to get home. And go get a new tyre locally in the morning. This saved me using my inflation kit ( worth £50). So, all in all, not the outcome either of us wanted, but no fault of the garage. He did his best for me and to save me money. Can’t ask for more than that.

T. H.I use this garage for my Seat Altea and my VW Transporter camper van. I am always pleased with the level of service, reasonable prices and good advice. They are open 7 days a week and stay open late so I can drop off my car or van after work and get it after work the next day or at weekends. I don't know of many garages that are so flexible with their opening hours. They appreciate repeat business and have helped with minor problems (e.g. a replacement valve for a tyre, a slight adjustment of headlights) for free. MOTs are very reasonably priced and I always leave feeling that I have received good service and good value for money.
C. M.I used best fit to repair a puncture last week. I got a puncture after 5pm and had called a mobile puncture repair company. They were going to charge me £75 and as I needed the car the next morning I had no choice. Then found bestfit online. They are open till 8pm. They did it for £12! Here, they told me the problem, did their thing and as it was such a tiny job. Didn't charge me.

J. K.I noticed that my front tyres were wearing unusually so I called Best Fit who recommended a wheel alignment test. The owner was very helpful and took the time to fully describe the computerised Hoffman 3D equipment. The test indicated that front and rear wheels were well within limits and required no adjustment. The results, displayed on a computer screen, were fully and clearly explained to me. This is not often done by other garages and I comment Best Fit for doing so. Advice was given to me regarding my tyres. I have to say the service was excellent and I will be back. Many thanks.

I held off writing a review immediately because the proof of the pudding when it comes to a tyre repair is how well it lasts, and this repair last lost no pressure in the months since it's been done -- sign of a good job. It'd be my first port of all for future repairs and replacement tyres in the future.

T. Y.Came from Leeds to Glasgow pick a Vivaro van up . It broke down on the M74 and had it recovered. In less than 10 minutes these great guys got it up and running. They are so honeset . Did such a nice job that i drove it all the way to Leeds (217 miles) with no problems. The owner is a really friendly guy and above all else is very honest.
I hope they do well in the future. Good people.
