I came to BMW Coding Scotland with a blue screen non-functional head unit (see attached "Before" picture) after BMW upgraded and crashed my iDrive. Great, patience and transparent guy, he assured me after viewing the issue that there is a 99% chance of fixing it (initially doubted him) after over 5 other coders either said "replace it the head unit" or "bring the car in". He guided me through every step (via both phone calls & Whatsapp) and what I needed to do to get the recovery process working properly. He remotely performed the following tasks: 1. recovered my NBT Evo ID5 head unit 2. upgraded my ID5 to ID6 3. updated maps to lifetime upgrades 4. enabled full-screen Apple CarPlay (was previously split-screen before the crash) 5. Recovered any missing features disabled by BMW (Adaptive headlights, etc.) I've used other coders and none of them was able to help me (don't want to mention names) BUT BMW Coding Scotland did a GREAT and FANTASTIC JOB (see attached "After" picture). I will definitely and always recommend it to anyone having issues with their iDrive head unit.

Had an issue with the image on one of my side view cameras being upside down so took my car to an Independent “BMW specialist” to try and get it resolved. Instead of fixing the issue, they somehow managed to introduce new errors to my windscreen mounted camera/ecu which meant that my speed limit info and my high beam assist no longer worked. Having lost trust in the garage and knowing it was very likely a software issue, I reached out to Bilal. He was able to correct my upside down side camera feed and restore the other lost functions. From chatting to him I can tell that he really knows his stuff. I really can’t recommend him highly enough. Honestly, if you have any software issues or if you want anything coded into your BMW then Bilal is your man. Fantastic service. Thanks again!

The idrive on my 328i had gone haywire, switching itself on and off and was totally unusable as it was constantly rebooting itself. Bilal managed to reflash the idrive and get it working normally again, and he updated the software so the problem would not arise again. He also did a diagnostic analysis and cleared some spurious fault codes. He is a knowledgeable and helpful person. I would be happy for him to work on my car in the future. Thanks Bilal 👍

Absolutely fantastic service. My FRM module was broken and virtually nothing on car was working properly, lights, sensors, windows etc. Muhammad advised me on what part to purchase, spent a lot of time replying to my many txts. Came to my home fitted replacement FRM and spent a lot of time programming/ recoding my car, took the time to explain everything he was doing. Very good price and a very pleasant guy, wouldn't hesitate in recommending his services.

I randomly found Bilal’s details in a last ditch attempt search for a solution. I’d sent my car to two garages who couldn’t solve the problem with the iDrive screen constantly rebooting and going black when I turned the ignition on. Other garages had quoted thousands to fix and any garage I called said it would take weeks to fix, just filled me with the fear. I called Bilal on the Tuesday morning and he was out on Wednesday evening. He didn’t fill me with fear when I told him the issue and said it was a really common fault and relatively easy to fix (if it was what he thought it was). He was here for under an hour and the iDrive was fixed. He was professional, kept up with social distancing and did a brilliant job and put me at ease tbh! Highly recommend - if I could give 10 stars I would!

Bilal is undoubtedly one of the top BMW coders in the country. I wanted a software feature activated in the iDrive 7 that was far more complicated than the typical upgrades offered by other BMW coders. I tried four companies in the UK and US, who all failed to activate the feature, before I stumbled across Bilal.
