Reviews of Clydesdale Classic Cars

Really glad I found this place for my classic mini. Excellent expertise, advice and communication throughout. Everything was fully costed and communicated with me before I decided to go ahead. Until I found this place I suspected my car was …

Brought a 1972 VW Beetle, broke down on the first day of driving.
Spoke with Nicole and she booked me in to diagnose, which they did within 2 hours and had ordered the parts.
Being the cynical sort I asked CCC to perform an inspection which discovered many worrying faults with the vehicle beyond what you would expect even from a classic car.
Vladimir asked me to come to the garage to show me what he found.
Overall the service and communication was excellent, from initial stages to the vehicle being shipped back to the dealer.
I wouldn't hesitate to take my classic cars to them in the future.
They have potentially not only saved me money, but also from driving a vehicle that was not in a road worthy condition.
Massive thanks to Nicole, Vladimir and the team.

A breath of fresh air to find a company from reception to workshop having personnel that are genuinely interested in your classic car. It was truly reassuring to be meticulously guided through the process of assessing defects and prioritising essential to non essential work . A special thanks to Vladimir who kept me appraised of work as it progressed even phoning me after normal working hours a courtesy which I have never experienced from other companies in the past . As my MGB had been garaged for over two years I realised that various work was necessary and from the sourcing of parts to the cost of labour the whole process was completely transparent .
Clydesdale Classics will be the only company I will entrust my car to in the future.
Keep up the excellent work

My 1933 Austin7 was with Clydesdale Classic Cars for 2-3 Months for a major Mechanical overhaul. They did a great job and they staff there loved the car like their own and the Polish Mechanic who looked after it there, even followed me back to Hamilton to make sure it got back home safe and sound. Good Job done by Good Engineers

When I bought my Humber Hawk in September I had it taken pdq to David Mutch for restoration. The business was expanding quickly and following a move to bigger premises in East Kilbride, the Humber was ready for work to start. Sadly my situation changed and with a heavy heart, had to sell the car. David had it quickly cleaned up, advertised and sold within a few weeks. OK it wasn't a restoration job...but a great and cheerful service nevertheless. So whether you want your car restored, or sold - David's your man!

My Triumph Vitesse needed 4 wheel studs and outer hub replacing due to wear and a stud shearing whilst out driving. I considered doing the job myself but don't have a hub puller. Clydesdale Classic Cars had carried out some excellent work for me on my Herald in 2016, so I had no problem in entrusting this job to them.
They understood right away what needed to be done as they have previous experience with "Rotoflex" Vitesses.
Communication was excellent and went the "Extra Mile" for me in obtaining a chrome wheel nut with correct outer diameter, as the ones that I had ordered, whilst correct on the thread, were too large to get the socket over to tighten, given the recess in the "Revolution" wheels.
Once again, excellent work, and I'd recommend Clydesdale Classic Cars to any owner looking for quality work at a reasonable cost.
Thanks David, Wullie, Vladimir and the team.
