So far so good with the MOT and interim service. Friendly, welcoming and communicative staff. Car was in a few days longer than expected due to an unforeseen staff shortage, which the branch manager Charles let me know immediately and provided a few different solutions and options. I am always hesitant to pay upfront for servicing, but everything seems ok and I'll be returning next year for the same again.

I normally try to stay away from bigger brand garages as I always assume they have their size to fall back on, so could be likely to charge more and maybe try slightly less from a service perspective (just my own inherent bias!). We were trying to sell the car and needed something done fairly last minute, so I just needed a garage. I cannot honestly convey just how brilliant Grant and the team at Halfords were. They were really fairly priced and flexible with their approach to make sure we got everything we needed to get the car sold for the best price. Will definitely be back.

My car broke down and the AA took my calr to my local halfords autocentre. The staff were very friendly and allowed the car to sit in the autocentre for almost 4 weeks while they repaired it. At the end they managed to fix my car and also they managed to reduce my bill by checking with multiple suppliers. Very good service and I will be using them regularly for my Mots, services and general repairs.

I booked in for a Service and MOT. Although my car needed a lot more work than expected, the garage went out their way to get the work done over the weekend and stayed late to make sure I'd have the car back to get to work on Monday. They notice and sorted a few bodged jobs from other garages Ive used in the past. Communication was excellent and pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and use this garage again.

I was very happy with my experience. The assistant manager(whose name I missed) was able to help me out when I appeared just before closing and was able to give me a quote and book me in the next day. Drop off was easy and having my details in the system already was handy. My only small criticism would be that when the parts were delayed, I didn’t receive a phone call to let me know, so I had to phone when the expected time passed. When I did however the guys were great and explained to me why it was taking a bit longer and gave me a call when it was ready to pick up.

My car was making a really loud noise that I thought could have been an issue with one of the wheels. I took it to Halfords and the staff were amazing. They could have got away with telling me further repairs were required and could have charged me a fortune and really wouldn't have known. However this is a really honest garage as it turned out it wasn't anything apart from a small issue with the break disk so they didn't charge me. If you don't know anything about cars and want an honest garage I would highly recommend this one.

Contacted to advise of a few issues that needed to be fixed and quoted clear prices with no pressure or obligation to go ahead unless I wanted to. They offer a finance option if the bill is maybe more than you expected. Work completed and car is running great. COVID - Protective screens at reception, all staff wearing face coverings. Booked the car in for a new tyre, booking the car in was trouble free, had a rattling noise coming from the car. Kevin and his team were able to fix the fault without a problem and fit the tyre in under an hour. Price was reasonable too, its certainly the only garage I would trust.

Had a great experience here last Saturday (15th of May 2021). We'd got up early for a day in the hills, only to pull out of our driveway and realise we had a flat tyre. Took the car to this place and parked outside waiting for them to open at 8am. The first staff turned up at about 0740 and I ambushed them outside. They happily sized and quoted up a replacement and said they'd have it done by 0845, which they did! I paid about £70 for a brand new tyre, plus fitting. Was back on the road by about 0920 and able to go and enjoy our day in the hills! Highly recommended, will be back.

So I looked around and found Halfords to have the best availability in the area, and one of the best priced. I found Jackie welcoming and informative on both visits to the branch. I never knew Halfords offered free brake pads for life! I've told family already. Although I wasn't expecting to fork out money for discs and pads, the pricing was reasonable and I don't need to pay for pads again.

Ever been to a Halfords? It's much like that. Member of staff who served me was friendly, helpful and efficient, but he was the only one in the place and had to juggle customers and phone calls. Hire more staff and the score will probably go up.
