Superb service from Fraser at Hybrid Battery Repair. I came in with a first generation hybrid Alphard which, as an import, made it difficult to find people to do work on it. The batteries have been replaced for a number of weeks now, and the van has been running smoothly ever since. Fraser was very clear with what the issue was, and the work that needed done. His pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden or unexpected costs. Fraser was also incredibly helpful with working around my difficult schedule and getting the job done at fairly short notice. I’d highly recommend Fraser and Hybrid Battery Repair to anyone who needs such work done. Great service all round.

I had a great experience with Fraser from Hybrid Battery Repair. He was extremely helpful and honest. In the end, he determined that my battery was fine, but that the issue was with another part of the hybrid system. He is extremely knowledgeable on hybrid batteries, and was very helpful in explaining everything in layman's terms. He was also full of integrity - which is huge when you are looking at the potential of a very costly repair. From my judgement, he is definitely not someone who would take advantage of someone and overcharge them. Recently (May 2022) my much loved 2006 Lexus GS450h (with only 100K miles on the clock) displayed an Engine warning light with Check VSC, Check ECB and Check Hybrid System warning messages showing on the dashboard display. My local Lexus dealer confirmed via diagnostic scan that the car was detecting a fault in one or more cells/blocks in the hybrid battery. The suggested fix from Lexus was to install a complete replacement battery at a cost of £3500. Searching the internet I found a few garages around Yorkshire, Lancashire and the Midlands who advertised their hybrid repair services, but all appeared to operate pretty exclusively on Toyota Prius cars and I really wanted someone who knew Lexus vehicles. I finally found the HybridBatteryRepair.co.uk website and I called and spoke with the owner, Fraser, on the telephone and was very impressed by him and his obvious depth of knowledge. Fraser is a fully experienced and properly qualified electrical engineer who also happens to own both a Lexus GS450h and an RX450h. Fraser just seemed to know everything about these Lexus cars and I very quickly came to trust him - which is good since I was sending my car a couple of hundred miles to a complete stranger! I took the gamble and used Shiply to arrange for my car to be transported from Middlesbrough to Fraser up in Glasgow. Fraser was there to take delivery of the car and from that point forward he was in touch with me regularly until he had completed the repairs. Fraser offered two possible solutions - the first (quicker but more expensive) being for him to build me a complete replacement battery using 3rd generation cells, and the second (cheaper but slower option that I went for) was for Fraser to remove and disassemble my battery, identify and replace all the bad cells, then to recondition/rejuvenate all 40 cells and the bus bars, before finally re-balancing, reassembling and re-installing the battery. When the job was finished, I took the train from Darlington up to Glasgow where I finally met Fraser in person. I can tell you that Fraser is an absolute gentleman and a genius with these cars. My car is not only fixed, but it’s now running better than I can ever remember, with improved response and better MPG. I would definitely recommend Frasers (HybridBatteryRepair.co.uk) services to everyone with a hybrid battery issue. A warranty was included with the work. Thank you Fraser - you are a star!

Superb job carried out by Hybrid Battery Repair. I have a 2003 Toyota Alphard, imported and converted into a campervan four years ago. It has worked perfectly until a few weeks ago, when dashboard warning lights signified something major wrong with the hybrid battery. This battery would have been hugely costly to replace - however, a telephone conversation with Fraser at Hybrid Battery Repair confirmed that his company could replace my current Alphard battery cells with a set of reconditioned / rebalanced Alphard battery cells, at a fraction of the cost of a new Hybrid battery. This necessitated a trip from Newcastle to Glasgow, and a weekend seeing the sights of the city, and job done! Fraser kept in touch throughout with texts and photos, and he has completed a superb job, all on time and within budget. The Alphard now runs like new. I went through a panic when the warning lights came on regarding my hybrid battery on my Lexus GS450H. I shopped around and Fraser came back with a very competitive quote. He responded to any queries I had. Although it was a trek from London to Glasgow (made a stay-cation of it) I am so glad I chose to use Fraser's company. Fraser did an excellent job of reconditioning the hybrid battery in my Toyota Alphard camper van. He diagnosed the problem, offered me options for repair, reconditioning or replacement, and carried out the work carefully and professionally, doing a tremendous job of keeping me fully informed of progress as it went along. Because of the complex conversion of my van into a camper, there were many electrical connections (eg to leisure battery, water pump etc) which could have gone wrong, but he very carefully checked that everything was working as it should before finishing the job. I recommend him fully, and wouldn't hesitate to use him again - although given the quality of his work, I probably won't need to!

My Mondeo Hybrid had a failed hybrid battery, and it wouldn't start at all. call the experts "Hybrid battery Repair" who sorted the car in under a day and had it up and running by dinner time. and I drove the car home. so Happy to have found these guys online and at a fraction of the cost for a new battery (over £5K) plus fitting from Ford. 5 star rating for hybrid battery repair! After having all 40 cells replaced with high capacity 2nd hand cells the car is literally transformed. My weekly commute which normally saw me get 31-32 mpg whilst driving extremely careful is now yielding 40 mpg without even trying. The car drives alot more using the batteries and it's extremely responsive if you put your foot down, as opposed to the sluggish response I got before... over the moon with the results and cannot recommend your business enough. Throughout the process you've been extremely knowledgable and helpful as opposed to the half asked responses I got from other places. Photos and progress updates throughout the process as promised too!

I can not fault fraser I figured the reviews on here are too good to be true... I was wrong this man knows what he is talking about and leaves you feeling that the job is done well communicates the whole way thro there are pictures to back up gives yoy choices and gives you some extra advice with things that are nothing to do with the battery it's almost like taking your can in for a mini service with the advice he gives you any questions answered if you are worried about your battery.... This is your guy.
