I would like to congratulate all at Phillips Garage for finally getting to the bottom of an ongoing fault which has plagued my Audi A7 for the last 6 months or so. Intermittent power loss diagnosed and repaired following several visits to other garages including an Audi main dealer. Over £2k later in various diagnostics and incorrect part replacements at the other garages, Craig resolved it in one visit for just over £300. The car was actually repaired 3 months ago and has been running sweetly since. Having waited to see if the fix was successful (because it wasn't after the other garages "repaired" it) I would highly recommend anyone to use them, so much so that I've taken both my wife and sons cars for repairs and servicing since and experienced the same high standard of workmanship. Thanks once again for superb service and professionalism.

I booked my car in at Philips Garage for my MOT, as always super professional and efficient service. The staff are lovely, polite and welcoming. Carrie in reception was very helpful and gave me full brief of the process and expected timescales. Craig is very knowledgable and went through any work needing done. Craig repaired my Skoda Karoq, where a Skoda dealership couldn't, or wouldn't, and where they wanted to charge me £4,000 for a new DPF, which Craig proved wasn't required!!!! Fantastic service from a garage who truly know what customer service IS and where all the staff are courteous, more than competent and extremely knowledgeable (including the admin staff). I was made aware of what is wrong with my car. The coil spring had snapped and had to be replaced. I was kept informed about any other issues that needed attention to also windscreen wipers were needing replaced. I trust Philips Garage with my car and know that my car will be safe for use on the road for me and having my family in the car. Craig is thorough and Carrie is very helpful. Philips Garage is my go to garage that I can be assured that my car will run well and feel confident out on the road in the car. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. UPDATE - Nov 2022: Since this last review I've used this garage a number of times for both personal and business cars/vans with various different issues and it's been second to none. Since the service was excellent for my personal cars I decided to move the business vehicles from another garage to here and they're back on the road quicker and running better than ever. The thing I like about this place is that I've never met a more knowledgeable group of mechanics who are always going on training courses to learn the latest and greatest which tells me exactly where I will always take my vehicles. I also like the fact that the knowledge is shared with me too. I appreciate the hard work, thanks folks and no doubt I'll see you shortly haha. Original review (3 years ago): I've used this garage before and was excellent service as usual. Fit me in at last minute when my car was making a jingling noise like a set of keys shaking which turned out to be my suspension coil had snapped! The mechanic had shown me the issue with my suspension which I thought was a nice touch. Prices are good as well.

Can't recommend highly enough! Been motoring for 20+ years. Been to many garages both good and bad. These guys are hands down the best. They rescued a job on my Octavia that had been misdiagnosed and butchered by another garage. Not only that but they diagnosed the problem and then encouraged me to take it back to the place I bought it as it should be covered by warranty. Great service and ridiculously good communication. Both the girl in reception and the technician were extremely helpful.

A warning light appeared on my VW Golf R advising me to contact a garage urgently. I saw good reviews so I contacted Philips immediately. I was advised to bring my car to them as soon as I could which I did. They carried out all the diagnostic checks and fixed the problem within an hour. The mechanic explained in detail what the problem had been and I was most impressed by his expertise and efficiency. The receptionist was a delightful young lady who was welcoming, polite and efficient. I am 71 years old and have been in many garages over the years. This one scores 100%.

Having been in the motor trade for over 30 years, in this city there are garages to go to and garages to avoid, this is one of the very good ones. I know from personal experience just how heavily this garage has invested in training and equipment and this reflects in the standard and quality of the work they deliver time and time again. I have always found them to be very competitive in regards to price despite opting to supply original quality parts over cheaper aftermarket equivalents. Value for money is guaranteed along with being treated in a very civil and professional manner, a truly trustworthy family run business, well worth a visit.

Carrie is always pleasure to talk to and gives comprehensive feedback on the service. Craig and his rising star Elle always do a meticulous job on the vehicle. It's great to support a local family business. Fast, friendly and reliable. I first took my car to Phillips garage several years ago when I was living in Glasgow. Despite moving to Inverkip last year, when my brakes needed fixed recently, I immediately rang Philips. They managed to fit me in at short notice and did a thorough, well documented job for what I felt was a fair price. The team are really friendly and knowledgeable and great at advising on what needs done and what can wait, which helps me budget for bigger outlays. A couple of years ago they also spotted an issue with my ERG before the Volkswagon garage did, which probably prevented serous damage to my engine and my bank balance. I'm not really into cars and sorting out maintenance isn't high on my "fun things to do" list, so I really appreciate knowing that Philips will keep my car in good order and are so nice to work with. They truly deserve their recent success in the recent garage awards. I'd definitely recommend Craig & the team to others.

After reading a long list of impressive reviews for this garage I decided to pop into Phillip's Garage. I was looking for some suspension upgrades to my 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The culture in the garage is vastly differently from others - friendly, professional and focused on finding solutions where challenges arise. Craig worked on my car and did a brilliant job - keeping me updated on progress and giving sound advice on options I had considered. It was clear that he hadn't lost his enthusiasm for performance cars and understood what I was trying to achieve. I've had 30+ cars in the last 17 years... ranging from 1940's vintage, 60's classics to modern V6 and V8 powered cars. Service had always been patchy in other garages I've used - and it's rare to find one capable of doing the work, being fair on price - AND still taking the time to have a chat and offer a coffee. Being a popular garage with a strong repeat customer base - you may have to wait until the can fit your car in, but it's worth that wait. If you are willing to pay a little more for a job well done - Phillip's Garage is the place to go.

In February this year, I had a flat tyre and was passing this garage so popped in. The little apprentice girl who was working there sorted out my tyre for me which turned out to be a leaking tyre pressure sensor. BTW, I wouldn't have thought she was an apprentice by the way she was working but she was fab and would have her working on my car any day! Whilst I was there I asked them to check the car over as I could hear what sounded like keys rattling. After a quick inspection they informed me of a broken suspension spring and took me over to the car to show me. I'm glad I asked because they told me of the dangers and the potential for the spring to have went into the tyre which was a frightening thing to think of but thankfully it didn't. After talking me through everything and my options, they got the parts for me fairly promptly and sent me on my way. Overall it was probably one of the better experiences at a garage I've had and seemed cheaper than my usual garage. Even though it's a little bit for me to travel to, I think I'll be using this as my garage from now on as you get more than you pay for with them. I cannot recommend this garage enough! I jammed my car over a metal pole, in a panic I ran to the nearest garage and found Philips! They helped me straight away, driving me back to my car. They managed to saw through the concrete pole and freed my car. Not stopping there, they were concerned about how safe it was to drive so drove my car back to the garage to get checked. Had my number plates robbed a few streets down. I live in England so did not have my V5C with me. The professionalism and helpfulness of the lady who helped me get the documents I needed was 10/10. Within 3-4 hours of my call my plates had been replaced and fitted, with no labour charge, and they fitted around my lunch time break, even though they were clearly very busy! I am so thankful to them as without them I wouldn't have made it home and I would recommend everyone in the area to go here.

Had my nissan juke which was leaking diesel at a garage 3 separate times for a repair which was sub standard, I found Philips garage online while searching for diesel specialist garages, called philips garage and they were extremely helpful and reassuring that they could fix it, I booked the car in and upon arriving at the garage i got a great first impression from the staff and mechanic, left my car with the garage for diagnosis and repair, I put the car in at 8 in the morning and got a call at 11 to collect with a page of advisories which I will be booking to rectify, upon collecting the car the mechanic took me through the repairs and advisories and showed me pictures of the repair work he carried out, I could not be more happy with the result and I highly recommended this garage to people, quick informative, professional and extremely good value for money, I will certainly be back thanks very much again
