Ben recently carried out work on an old XC90 I picked up second hand, gave it the once over for me, attended to a couple of minor issues (locking wheelnut replacement and too much oil) and tried to fix a troublesome airbag warning light. All the work carried out so far has been great, reasonably priced, the advice spot on and even provided a loan car. A gem of a find, honest, reliable mechanics who obviously loves Volvos.

I first rang BMC in desperation because my local Volvo specialist was not only expensive but ridiculously unhelpful. The service record book showed that BMC had serviced my car for a number of years long before I took ownership of it. On the off chance BMC might be more approachable I gave them a call despite the fact that they are over an hours drive away from where I live. They were so helpful. Ben and Chris immediately demonstrated their knowledge and expertise giving me the confidence that it was worth driving the distance to get them to do the work. They knew exactly what the problem was not needing to charge me extra diagnostic fees before they even got close to solving the problem. They were not only vastly cheaper but they did a fantastic job as corroborated by my local garage who looks after the general maintenance of the vehicle. Despite it being a tougher job than they expected they charged me exactly what they quoted. I had a loan car for the day as well which was a real blessing considering how far away I was from home. Another Volvo dealership wanted £480 plus VAT for the cam belt alone and £95 plus Vat to just plug in the diagnostic gizmo for the airbag light before being able to give me a quote to fix whatever problems they found. So to do both of these jobs AND change three very rusted coil springs for £670 is brilliant. Very fairly priced. Later another issue arose and my favoured local garage gave them a call to see if they had any ideas. Again, they were extraordinarily helpful. As my local garage says specialists like this are like gold dust. Ben and Chris are not only knowledgable but are efficient, professional and clearly good humoured too I can’t thank them enough for being straight and easy to deal with. Many garage owners and mechanics drag the profession into the mud. These two bring it back into the realms of honesty and reliability. Definitely gold.

Super friendly, professional and did an amazing job replacing my Volvo V60s evaporator. I'd spoken to many other garages to try and get a quote and many had turned the job down as it was too complex and required taking out the entire dashboard and electrics. Ben from BMC was so helpful and they did a fantastic job. Highly recommended!

If you are after a volve independent specialist then look no further. Does other makes but I used as wanted a VIS. Owner is very helpful and honest on what is needed and no hidden extra charges. Does a 1st rate job.

What a great service! My Volvo V70 needed a bit of TLC, an MOT, and major service. It's always been serviced by Volvo main dealers, including cam belt until 2 years ago but I feel I'd been taken for a ride with those guys, the prices are unbelievable! So a friend mentioned BMC... we won't go anywhere else now! The strange rumble was fixed (drive shaft half bearing), tyre sorted (puncture repair) all filters changed, all fluids done, dodgy seat belt fastener sorted, 2 lamps fixed, and MOT, all for under £500. Volvos are great cars, and this is a great volvo garage! X

Nothing is too much trouble for Ben, whether simply replacing a Volvo logo that fell off, to sourcing a second door lock for an old Volvo unlikely to do many more miles. He never talks down to you, listens carefully and provides a well-priced service and MOT. We've used BMC Volvo for about 5 years and would recommend it without hesitation to any Volvo owner.

Servicing and repairs on my V40 completed on schedule and at a reasonable price. Courtesy car has always been available if required. It's good to find an honest mechanic you can trust.

It was like winning the lottery for me! I had searched for other reviews of garages to take my car to, and found very few.
