Absolutely fantastic place. They know Italian cars inside and out. Mario is fantastic to chat to about all things car related and he & his team really understand car enthusiasts. The guys got me a new part and had it installed in under 24 hours so that I could get to Abarth Festival in time for the weekend - fantastic service and will definitely be going back!

Did a superb full four wheel alignment on my Mini and it now feels much better. Turned my car around in the time they said they would and at a competitive price. Polite and helpful staff and the only company in the area that wanted to touch my Mini. Yes they are hard to work on I know, but at least Avanti took the time to offer to do it in the first place without a rip off price, not the usual "yeah mate we wont touch them". Dealt with my panicky calls as I was on a tight time limit with the minimum of fuss and with professionalism as I was worried about a school run. Will use again 100%, a big, big thank you to you guys. Unlike other garages these chaps are clearly enthusiasts of cars. Kwik Fit they are not.

Took great care of my meriva and super helpful with looking after my Peugeot now. They are reasonable with what makes sense doing and if they aren’t specialists in something like automatic transmissions, they will suggest whom to use for that specific thing. Honest and a pleasure to leave your car with.

The guys were really helpful with my car despite me having lost my locking wheel nut adapter and know Italian cars really well. Passionate and helpful and well worth going too with your Alfa's, Fiats etc. Will be going back to them to fix some of the little issues I have on my slightly ageing Fiat 500. They were well recommend by several people who have some more interesting Alfas and Fiats than my Twin Air!

Like many motorists in the Ipswich area I am very,very happy to recommend these guys. They are friendly, informative and helpful. They also do not rip you off and offer a really well priced and honest service. I have used them for over 5 years now and am never disappointed. So what if their premises are not shiny and pristine - it is after all, a car maintenance workshop!! They set a fine example to the rest of the motorist trade! Keep up the good work Mario and staff. UPDATE 2/8/22: Avanti carried out maintenance on the aircon and wheel balancing. Excellent work at reasonable a price.

I took my 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfetta to Avanti to diagnose a gradual coolant loss: I thought the head gasket had failed. They tested everything carefully and found a small leak on the radiator that couldn't be repaired as the rad had plastic side tanks. We ended up commissioning the manufacture of a new, one-off radiator from Sheldrake and Wells. The final result is amazing: visually identical to the old rad but with better cooling - and no leaks! Avanti were terrific: keeping me informed at each stage, clearly knowledgeable and skilled with these unusual cars, and the final bill was considerably less than I'd expected/feared too. Skilled, honest and reasonably priced is an all-too-rare combination in the garage trade and I'd certainly recommend Avanti Autos..

I have have two alfa romeos and before I used to take it to the local garages, but I have decided that avanti is the best for my cars, some garages have no respect for cars especially with rarepaints or alloys, I know that I can trust Mario and his team with my car as they know what to do best. Other garages maybe cheaper rate wise, but it will take them 3 times longer to find the issue and fix. I highly recommend avanto for specialist work as they are honest and open about their work.

“This is an Italian Garage, for Italian cars, there’s something for you here!” Though my Alfa years are sadly behind me (for now at least), Mario & crew were great and always looked after me and my Alfas with a friendly and fair service. Now they’ve moved out of town, I miss stopping by for a chat and to check out the classic Alfas, Lancias Fiats and more they were caring for.

Avanti replaced a roll bar drop link on my Abarth GP last December and about two weeks ago the car started making the same noise again. I called them yesterday and was advised to bring the car down today. I was given a lift back to work so that they could hear the noise. Then I received a call to say that the car had been fixed under warranty and would I like it delivered back straight away. I have used Avanti a few times now and each time they provide excellent advice and first class service. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I will definitely be using them again in the future. Having taken posession of a 1972 Alfa Berlina, it developed an electrical glitch connected with the starter motor. RAC patrolman, codsuldn't fix it. Had it taken to Avanti, who systematically checked the system and discovered a fault. Collected today, and back running fine. A big thumbs up to Avanti, and they get all our Alfa repair work from now on...We have a spider too. Great service.
