Speaking from my experience, fantastic service and after sales service also. The mechanics are very knowledgeable, especially as my car was a citroen c3 2007 and it was very complicated semi automatic (manual and automatic combined). I was having gearbox faulty and Carl and his fabulous team sorted it out. He did some work at his own expense which was relatively surprising for myself and very much appreciated by myself. 100% recommended!!!

Cannot recommend enough. Stumbled upon this Garage when we needed part of a Mazda replacing locally for an elderly friend - was extremely cheap so we recommended to family and friends. My partners parents have been multiple times since for any work they required on their Mercedes, have used them for work on our VW Golf since and we’ll continue to use them and recommend them for life. Are Peugeot expert work van went down with an major electrical fault on the same week as Christmas!! We had a couple of mobile mechanics come out but it felt like they didn’t want to touch it because it was Peugeot?? We stumbled across cgcars road sign and seen he specialised in french car’s… The sign wasn’t wrong, he told us if we could get it towed down to him as he’s really busy he would have a look for us.. The next day we got it down to him, 3hours was all it took him!!! He’s worth his weight in gold!! Now we have a work van back didn’t break the bank and I’ve found a new place to look after my vehicles 👍

After a nightmare experience dealing with Drive Vauxhall Nuneaton. Carl and team at CG cars collected the vehicle, diagnosed faults and repair faults with my BMW 116d within a few days at a great price. Engine rebuild, fix worn clutch, change oil etc and provided updates regularly - 1670 incl vat. BMW sytner and drive vauxhall wanted to charge me 3-4k just for engine inspection and timing chain kit replacement. Excellent service and highly recommend. Thanks Carl 👍

Peugeot 2008 with no power. Carl had picked up my car, diagnosed a faulty EGR valve and had it fixed in under 24 hours! What a star! I have taken my van to CG cars twice now (different issues) it’s safe to say my van drives the best it has since I’ve had it. Carl’s customer service is excellent, he responds instantly to messages and calls and has got the job done very quickly both times. Carl also helped me with an issue that I had with the doors on the van not opening his experience and knowledge shows as he instantly knows what the issue is and how to fix it. So, I have a very sensitive Citroen C4 Grand Picasso with a semi auto gearbox and air suspension. This is my third one and while I have not had many problems with them in the past, this one has had to have its clutch and pressure plate replaced in Dec 2020. Carl at CG was recommended by another garage (as a French car specialist) and to be honest, he is the first person I think of if anything needs to be repaired on my car. He sorted the clutch in 2020 within hours! I have since returned to have wheel bearings, rear disks and pads, suspension arms and my air con repaired. Had a recent issue with an electrical fault that affected my interior heater blower and air suspension. Messaged Carl who replied very quickly even though he was on holiday! It appeared that this issue would have had Carl and his team stumped, but they managed to rewire and get the problem sorted. Bills are very reasonable, but quality of work is excellent and would pay way more for such great service, workmanship and reliability! I find Carl to be a no nonsense, straight forward and reliable person to deal with and would happily return. Until next time, all the best to CG Cars!

Hello. Very very nice garage and staffs. I had breakdown of citroen c5 on motorway which is very hard to be repaired. Had to travel back to newcastle next day with family in urgency. The guy responded me on friday evening 7pm , got me booked in for 8am on sat, and fixed by 10am with minimal charges after listening to the damage (gearbox was snapped). As much as I hate spending money on my car, I will always go to C.G Cars for my work or repairs. I know Carl and the team will do everything they can to get the job done, always accommodating and never let me down. I have been a long term customer and even now living in Oxfordshire, I still bring my car to C.G and believe me, I have tried many garages around where I am for convenience but they don't provide the same service or professionalism and some didn't even repair the faults. After a really bad experience with a Peugeot garage (Robins Day) I arrived at CG cars desperate and very skeptical, there are not many mechanics that will touch a pug 308cc so when Carl took my car and attempted to solve my window issue I was a little apprehensive. However, he was so genuine, so honest and told me every little detail of what was wrong, what had happened, and how he could fix it. The work took minimal time to sort after ordering the part and I couldn't fault the service. Since my original issue I've suffered 2 major problems with the car, and both times have returned here. The guys are genuine, clear and don't try to rip you off. Everytime I have an issue Carl tells me exactly what it is, why it's happening and how or what is causing it. He will then tell me the price and ask if I want him to go ahead. Not only this, he always gives the least expensive thing to try first!!!! And luckily for me his knowledge of French cars has so far been correct and issues sorted...The price is always a genuine price, I've never come across any hidden charges and the service I receive from him has always been 5 star. Unfortunately for Carl and his team I won't go anywhere else now, as I don't trust anyone with my car but they prove there are genuine garages out there who want to help and not just line their pockets for minimal work performed. I can't thank you all enough not only for fixing my car but for proving you know your stuff around cars and don't want to rip off clueless lady drivers.

After having cylinder head issues with my 20 year old 306 I found Carl on the internet and asked him if he had an engine he would sell me. Carl then said he could fix mine (for a very reasonable price may i add). Unfortunately Carl is nearly 3 hours from me so i had to get the car sent to him. This always makes me nervous but as soon as you get a message off the transport company (someone that had never dealt or met Carl before) saying "car delivered" and "your car is safe there Carl seems a top bloke" you know that the car is in good hands. While the car was there i got few extra bits done and I still got the car back within a week. Not only is it driving better than ever but it was sent back in spotless condition. Thank you!

I got recommended to C G Cars by a friend and I was not disappointed. My Peugeot car broke down and the RAC took the car to the main dealer. The main dealer provided me with a very expensive quote. Carl has previously sorted two injectors in my Renault Trafic (one was a nightmare and the other not too bad!). Injectors in these vans are infamous for seizing and the garage have the proper tools for sorting this without wrecking the engine. The repairs were done swiftly and professionally with great communication. One minor issue did come up which was sorted quickly, efficiently and with great customer service. I believe that you can and should rate businesses by how they deal with any issues that may crop up and I can't fault Carl or his mechanics. Thanks!

Great service and perfect job. Took my Peugeot 306 Rallye for a clutch replacement last Thursday and the job was done perfectly and as per quoted price. In fact, thinking back, I think he let me off the cost of the labour for the little extra bits that were needed....Cheers Carl. Job hit one or two snags, which considering the age and mileage of the car, in fact any elderly Peugeot, has to be expected, which Carl advised me of and had then sorted to perfection. Peugeot specialists of the highest order. I drove 50 miles with no clutch pedal to get here, as I don't trust any of the establishments in my own town. Really easy to find off M1 too. After the previous garage made a right mess of things I had Carl come to pick my volvo v70 up. He told me he would save her and he certainly kept his word. She drives every bit as wonderfully as before. I just want to say that Carl has been brilliant from start to finish. I took my Diesel Peugeot 308 for a fuel additive top-up, to have a problem with the air-conditioning looked at and whilst I was there mentioned a problem with a rattle on the front off-side suspension. They were very knowledgeable about Peugeots, fixed the problems quickly and have done a fantastic job. I'll definitely be using them again! MUCH better than a main dealer.
