I can't thank this garage and the manager enough. I first used this garage back in January last year when I needed my window wipers working to drive to see my dying mum. Putting cutomer needs first it is exactly what describes this garage! I already used this garage 2 times in the last month for unexpected mechanical repairs and each time the service was excellent. Every time I had a problem they did their best to help me get back on the road ASAP. And each time they explained and kept me updated with the work they were doing to my car. All services are professionally done, ther are also RAC approved which for me it's a bonus. I also feel the need to mention in regards to the prices as to my surprise they charge less than other garages. I quoted quite a few garages in the area and the prices they gave me were exaggerated in comparison with what I was quoted at STL for the same service. Highly recommend this garage taking into consideration the profesionalism, high standard work, friendly and helpful staff, quick labour time and prices.

I've been using the garage for the last couple of years for my mot and I've got to say that it's by far the best garage I've ever been to, so much that I've recommended all of my family and friends to use, my dad even travels to come here it's that good. I've left a review before but this garage just keeps getting better so I really wanted to leave another. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, recently looking into buying a new car and the advice given was amazing and to be told they are always at the other end of the phone for advice, they always have time and never rush you. As a woman I've always found garages to not be that kind but this garage is fabulous and I wouldn't take my car else where. I called to ask if they deal with automatics because for me that was a deal breaker if they didn't I'd get a manual knowing it would be in safe hands. This is by far the best garage around so if your looking for good honest mechanics then you really don't need to go any further than STL Thankyou for all your help in the past and I'm sure in the future, your all incredible nad amazing at what you do!

Great service. I've been here a number of times and they consistently quote less than other car garages. They've saved me a lot of money, most recently I was quoted £300 by another garage to replace parts of an exhaust, rather than replace it as there was nothing wrong with the exhaust itself STL welded it back together for £60. They will actually fix things rather than just replacing stuff for the sake of it. I trust them and recommend them to friends. Excellent service, it would be a different world if other car garages had your approach to customer service!!

I have been bringing all of my 4 cars to stl for the past 10 years and have never once made a complaint a out the service or my car not performing after I've has repairs. The staff are very friendly and approachable and very honest if I need work or change parts. I have also recommended them to family and friends who would echo my experience. The opening times is convenient as open very early on Saturdays and their avaibility for repairs and checks is usually same day or next day. I would highly recommend anyone who have had bad experiences in the past to use this garage you will not go wrong.

Well, as the new rules state the garage can hold your car if dangerous i decided to come back to STL and pay:) for MOT. I had previously put up a 1/5 review for this garage after a poor experience with tyres, wheel balancing and gear accelerator advice when I took my car in for its service and MOT 2 months ago. I went back to the garage 2/3 times to try to resolve the issues and ended up having to get the problems solved by other garages in the end. However credit has to be given to the manager Steve took my complaint seriously and went out of his way to resolve it to my satisfaction. I was refunded in full so you can't say fairer than that. He also stated he will be looking at, and sorting out the issues that I raised. Really conscientious management and customer service. It's just a shame that it happened at all in the first place.

Best in the Leicestershire area in my opinion. I had a clutch fitted last year and have recently been back for a service and had a couple of tyres, discs and pads replaced.All very reasonably priced and done on the day. I was kept informed throughout on both jobs and talked through exactly what needed to be done and why. First class work in both cases which I’m very pleased with. Worth a mention that I came across STL after bring let down badly by a different South Leicester garage which I had used for many years (it was the RAC who recommended STL).I will only use this garage for services and mot’s in future as the team here have restored my trust in car mechanics - thank you STL!!

I don't normally come to Leicester and i was in need of a reliable mechanic. I have been to many mechanics before. I do a lot of driving and wanted a mechanic who charges fair prices to sort my tyres out in a safe manner also, without taking shortcuts. I was expecting just to have a tyre repair but when i got to STL i soon realised that the head mechanic was extremely experienced, took his job very seriously, and understood the implications of a good functioning car for safety purposes. He went above and beyond to fix my tyre puncture and also adjust the tyre pressure in all my tyres. He identified that I had been misinformed about my tyre pressures by another mechanic regarding the "PSI" and "bar" units of tyre pressure which had been mixed up. He also educated me thoroughly about the maintenance of my tyre to ensure i can look after my car tyres in the future. He charged a good price and thus i felt that alot of his service was due to his genuine passion for his job, rather than financial motive. I hope that others browsing the internet, looking for a reliable mechanic in the area, will follow my advice and take their car here also. Dr AV

The auto-industry is plagued by charlatans and those out to make as much profit as possible, usually at the customer's expense. STL's owner Steve is different. I broke down in Wales due to a faulty water pump tensioner belt that had been fitted in January by STL. Steve arranged for a recovery truck to collect me from Wales the following day and is in the process of reimbursing me for my night's stay in a hotel subject to a warranty claim. Moreover, Steve arranged for a new water pump to be fitted at no additional cost and my car is now as good as new. When problems arise, most companies try to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing or fault. Steve went above and beyond to remedy the situation and has ensured me and my partner will continue to use STL in the future!
