I have chosen this shop for an insurance car repair after reading reviews and looking at local repairers around Lincoln. I have to admit - both the service quality and the final result of repair have far exceeded my already high expectations. Rob was truly amazing throughout the whole process, his patience and professional guidance were very valuable and he was always understanding despite numerous problems and delays caused by my insurance company. Contacting Rob was always easy and quick, both on the phone and through emails. My car now looks better than before the accident, finish quality is as good as from factory, can't ask for more! Where to start really.....? 🤔 First Rob was brilliant in exactly telling me what was required to repair my scratched front panel and headlamp. He also warned me about my insurance would offer me cash that would leave me massively out of pocket, they did and the offer was £2000 short. I acquired a dent in the car door on my bmw coupe, which could be seen from a distance. I read the reviews and saw these were highly recommended which I can now see why. I got a very good estimate and given the option to pull the dent out to see what it looked like first and then repaint if needed. I scuffed the front bumper on my silver BMW, I read Rob’s reviews and sought a quote with him. The quote came back quickly, within minutes, and was very reasonable, far less than I had envisaged. The work turned out to be a little more involved than expected due to some previous poor work that the car had had. I would highly recommend Chips Away. Unfortunately someone had very kindly decided to, I assume, open their car door onto my new (two month old!) 68 plate Ford Focus causing a vertical dent on the rear wheel arch. Luckily it hadn't broken the paint work but had caused a noticeable dent. I contacted Chips Away Lincoln via the website contact form and was contacted the very next day by phone. I arranged to visit their premises the following week for a quote. I dropped in to seem them on the Wednesday for the dent to be assessed. I was provided with the options available to me to repair the car and with a verbal quote. Due to the position of the dent and the bodywork being double skinned I was advised the repair should hopefully be 95% which was good enough for me. Certainly anything would be better than it currently was. I booked the car in for the same week - 2 days later on the Friday. On the Wednesday evening I received the quote via email also advising that the job should take 1.5 hours to complete. I dropped the car in for 8.30 am on the Friday and arranged to collect it that lunchtime. On collecting the car I can honestly say I couldn't tell where the dent had been - it was certainly 100% repaired to me. Robert was extremely helpful throughout the process and I am very happy with the result. My car is back to being showroom perfect. Please don't hesitate in using Chips Away as they provide an outstanding service. Thanks very much.

As a fairly new driver, It was only matter of time till my first scratch or dent. Lo and behold, I managed to cleverly reverse into a bollard, scratch off the paint and dent the nearside bumper of my Fiesta. I was absolutely gutted as I like to look after my things. I managed to replace the cluster casing, the reflector in the bumper myself but no touch up paint could resolve the damage to the paint. I was initially recommended ChipsAway by a friend, so I looked up my local branch and saw the gleaming reviews for Rob. It was a no brainer from the start really! I sent Rob an email, sending photographs of the damage that I had tried to repair with a touch up pen. The response time to the emails was almost immediate and even managed to get an invoice to me in the same day. On the day of the repair, I dropped my car off with Rob early in the morning. Within an hour, he had called me to inform me of other damage he had found after cleaning up the bumper, including a very nasty dent. After discussing this with him on the phone, I was eager for the other issues to be resolved but respected that this was not on the invoice and thus not calculated. Rob informed me to leave it with him to see what he could do. At this point, I was preparing myself to pay significantly more for the extra repair, especially as this would have him working on the bumper for more time. I had a call in the early afternoon, informing me that the damage had been repaired and the car was ready to be collected. After getting a taxi back to the garage, Rob met with me outside and showed me what he had done. He had taken photos and a video to show me the extent of the paintwork and dent damage, the dent was actually really bad and in such a tricky place. I was pleased he took photo evidence of the damage, so I had something to refer to. In doing so, I knew he was an honest man who didn't just make things up for the extra quid. I had a look at the bumper and honestly, it looked brand new! Not a scuff, scratch or dent could be seen anyway. Rob had repaired the entire bumper when really we only planned to do the nearside corner. He also found some cracks near the reflector and kindly welded them up. After going through all this, I was prepared to pay a lot more for his extra work...he handed me the card machine... and the price + VAT had NOT CHANGED! The price Rob quoted me, STAYED that price. Even after informing him I was happy to pay more for his time and skill, he was content for me to pay what he initially quoted. Honestly, I'm gobsmacked. It is so rare to come by a place that is so honest and considerate. I could not recommend Rob enough, not just for his exemplary skill but for his honesty and genuine desire to make his customers happy. I wouldn't want to say 'See you soon' as I don't want to damage my car...again..., but if I ever did there would be nowhere else I would go. 5 stars it not enough!

I took my recently bought BMW to Rob at ChipsAway Lincoln for cosmetic improvements as I like to drive around in a good-looking car. I was entirely satisfied with the work Rob carried out which included renovation of three alloys, three minor door dents repaired by Paintless Dent Removal, minor paint chips and scratch marks to the near side sill. The front near side alloy had been badly kerbed but Rob repaired it to 'as new' condition. Rob was able to re-paint and lacquer the scratched sill without a visible paint line. Rob properly explained the repair techniques which was not only interesting to me but also gave me confidence that he knew his work. From my own experience I can recommend Rob without hesitation and will go back to him whenever I need further work carrying out on my car.
