N.3 local garages couldn't diagnose the problems with the brakes on my car and charged us each time to check and experiment with some fixes which were all ultimately unsuccessful and money down the drain. When the problems came to a head, I urgently searched online and found Car Technic. Unlike the other garages, they were a noted brake specialist and with top reviews in customer service. There was also a collection and delivery service which was important as my car had finally been deemed unsafe to drive.
I've been driving for a couple of years and a total newbie when it comes to car maintenance. Daniel listened to my ramblings and arranged a collection of my car ASAP for a proper diagnosis. I was surprised when he turned up to collect himself, as I'd assumed he was a med-large business based on the no. of impressive reviews for Car Technic on a price comparison website. He kept me informed of his findings and explained everything in straight-forward terms and the costs.
End result: Daniel delivered my car when I needed it (after working on it over the weekend!) and the problems that had been plaguing my car for the past 9 months (that the other local garages couldn't diagnose) were FINALLY FIXED! He also returned it shiny and clean - free of the build-up of crumbs from toddler pastries and muddy little footprints.
Daniel is absolutely lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. There's a reason he gets the reviews that he does. I've found my go-to guy for my car now. I'm glad he turned out to be a small business rather than a large one as this obviously means customer service is a priority and he really does care about his work. It's important to support our local and small businesses. I would totally recommend Daniel/Car Technic!

He was cheery, extremely efficient and professional. The work was completed to a high standard for a very reasonable price. J. A.How is this guy not London’s best mechanic? I have a Toyota Auris Hybrid Touring which was seeing about 68mpg in inner london (according to the car’s calculations) but recently dropped to below 50mpg. It was overdue it’s major service by 6000 miles if you take into consideration the last mechanic who “serviced” my car didn’t even flush and change my engine oil. I was now in the market for not only a major service but a mechanic to call mine. Dan put up with my abysmal time keeping, maintained excellent communication throughout, was courteous and very welcoming. When my car was returned to me (on time) I drove home and the 40 min journey saw all time highs on the fuel consumption. Power feels restored and there’s a noticeable improvement in the driving experience. It felt like it’s had a proper service. Let’s be honest, worst feeling is taking your car back from a mechanic and feeling ripped off. Dan put back all the parts he took off during the service and left it in the car for me. He even left me with some engine oil in the container. This was courteous and shows honesty on his part but there was no need as the whole experience from start to finish was exemplary. His whole approach was very warm, professional and knowledgeable. There were extra upgrades to the parts i needed and the prices were fair. In hindsight based on the whole experience, I’d say the price was excellent. Remember, you get what you pay for. I’ve saved Dan’s number and will be going for all things car related to him from now on. Thanks Dan.
