Just brilliant! My car needed a general service and a couple other things. The guys at Defoe Tyres did an amazing job and my car is running perfectly! Thanks so much. I'm definitely going to be a regular at their garage!!

Excellent service. I pulled up with a slow puncture and within half an hour the tyre was repaired and back on the car. The tyre pressure in the other 3 wheels were checked without the need for me to ask. I've never had in other tyre centres, going the extra mile and check the pressure all the wheels.

Faced with a long Christmas drive north I was concerned that one of my tyres was losing air. My usual tyre place shut early so I tried Defoe Tyres. They saw me immediately and without any fuss diagnosed and fixed the issue. The mechanic was courteous and helpful and charged me what I thought was a very reasonable amount, which I was happy to pay for peace of mind. I’ll definitely go here in future, even though it’s further from my home than my usual garage.

Unfortunately I failed to notice that my MOT was due in a week but Defoe Tyres managed to fit me in and do a fantastic job. Very happy with Errol's service. It might seem like a small under-equipped shed, but they know what they're doing and are decent people (unlike some giants of the tyre industry). Defoe Tyres is the most honest, reasonably priced and swift garage I've ever used. Erol and his crew are by far the best mechanics I've ever had look after my cars. Whether I've needed a simple service, a serious repair or just some advice, they've never let me down. They always offer options for new parts at different price points, so you can make the decision about what you spend. If you need them to, they will also prioritise things that need fixing if you can't quite afford to fix more than one thing if it's needed. Defoe Tyres is a true, well established and family run, old school garage, and I'll never go anywhere else if I can help it. I would strongly advise anybody to at least give them a call if you need an MOT or service. You won't be disappointed.

Eight years ago I moved to Stoke Newington and needed a couple of new tyres and Defoe tyres came highly recommended by some local friends. My experience then was excellent and still is to this day. I now go there not just for tyres , but MOTs and servicing because I have been so pleased with the friendly and great service I get. I have never been able to beat any prices quoted even after searching when a big job is required (cam belt change for example). I happily recommend them to anyone who needs a local mechanic.

A tyre on my car had a screw sticking in it, in a groove. They took off the wheel and removed the screw, the tyre was not punctured. They put the wheel back on- No charge at all! Honest and generous service much appreciated. I will be a loyal client.

I've used Defoe Tyres occasionally for the last few years - mostly for tyre replacement, wheel balancing, etc. I've always found them to be a helpful, skilled, fast and reasonably priced local garage. Today, though (2 days before Xmas), I was absolutely amazed at the level of service that Erol and his crew provided. In Devon a couple of days before, in the dark with heavy rain, I was caught out by what I thought was a normal slip road off the A30 dual carriageway on Dartmoor - that turned out to be a sudden tight right angle bend with no warning. I hit a kerb denting and splitting a front alloy wheel. Next day - with no proper spare and various Xmas/NY trips planned I phoned Defoe on the off chance they could help. My car is an elderly (but reliable) V reg V70 Volvo so the chances of getting a 2nd hand wheel at short notice over Xmas are pretty slim. Erol said they'd be closed for Xmas/NY - but send a photo of the wheel and leave it with him - and if I got back to London ok to call in next morning as they'd be at the garage doing a bit of repainting. The skinny 'emergency' spare wheel amazingly lasted 200 miles back from Devon and I called in this morning. Not only had Erol contacted his wheel supplier but he had found a correct and matching 2nd hand wheel, collected it and had it there waiting. 30 minutes later a new tyre fitted, balanced - and the wheel bolted on the car and the whole problem solved - for an affordable amount. So - THANK YOU Erol and Defoe Tyres. You said I was "lucky" but it was fantastic and thoughtful service and went way beyond what I expected. Exceptional! Happy Christmas - and good business in 2019. You deserve it!
