Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I booked my daughter’s car in here for an MOT. Despite it being near London, it was still £38.95. Reminders were sent for the slot I’d booked. My daughter dropped the car off, within an hour I received confirmation that it had passed with just two advisories which don’t need doing at this point. It is a 58 plate Fiat 500 and this is the first time we’ve not been ripped off. Last year I booked it into a private garage, near my daughter. It failed and even when passed there were 17 advisories. I went to get it, drove it back to where we live, Shropshire, where a garage we trust told us the MOT last year was a joke. This is why I booked it into a chain this time. If you want somewhere where you can trust, and especially if you are sending a young person to take their car, go here. My daughter is 21. I can’t rate this centre high enough. Thank you.

I usually come to this branch because it's very closed from where I live. Competitive prices, welcoming and friendly service and kept up to date with progress while the work was being done. I waited I'm the customer area and offered tea/coffee, and my car was ready within an hour. Would definitely recommend and return to Halfords Autocentre Acton. The reason I give only 4 stars is because it is hard to contact by telephone. They seem to be very busy always.

Awaiting resolution. Engineer unfortunately broke brake callipers when unscrewing valve to bleed it on left front brake callipers. Further Damage to caliper paint and screw opening while trying to remove broken internal screw closing the bleed access. Awaiting a call back from Porsche to clarify Timing of repair and arrangement of replacement vehicles. Staff were very pleasant and friendly but detected a tiny bit of cheekiness prior admitting liability.. Hopefully this get resolved fast. Edit: Assistant manager was just actually investigating root cause of problematic over torqued screw. I have never attempted a repair. So The breakage could have been as a result of Porsche over torquing the screw. ( I intend to raise a complaint with Porsche !!) In the end Halford staff brilliantly repaired my brake and completed bleeding like rock star with complete attention to detail and respect to Porsche torque specifications. This guys are solid and can work on top car too. I would trust this team to work on my car. 5 star

MOT done. I was told 45 mns and would be called on mobile. Came back 45mns later and sat across the road looking at my car in the forecourt. Left it another 30mns still no call so walked in and told it was waiting. No-one called... not sure why dashcam had to be disconnected and phone holder removed for an MOT?

Very convenient and easy to drop the car off in the morning for an MOT and service. Evelina was very helpful at the desk. The car passed its MOT which was great but they rang me to suggest brake replacement which I went ahead with. This did bump up the price, however I was keen to make sure that he car was safe in potentially icy weather. Mourad was on the desk when i picked up the car and was very professional he discussed my payment options and suggested that i could pay the bill in monthly instalments..I decided not to take up this offer, but it was good to know the option was there when faced with a large bill you have not budgeted for.

Theres many many good things to say when a car garage quotes a repair cost at £££ but then ring to say it wasnt actually the issue they suspected, and infact only end up charging half of the original quote. I took my KA for its MOT and then my new C1 for a tire replacement after bursting it on a curb and both time the service has been incredible. I've had Sam both times and the guy is a saint, he takes on anything while offering me the best price and explains what I need and why - genuinely the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I've ever had after driving for 4 years. Sam talks to me with professionalism and confidence and you can tell he knows what he's doing I dont need to question or worry that I'm being ripped off because it's not that kind of place. Everyone there is lovely and the work is carried out so quickly and efficiently. They definitely go the extra mile whenever it is needed and overall I'll never go anywhere again!

Booked online for 2 tyres to change and a battery purchase and install. Easy location to access, tea and coffee provided. Wrong battery was ordered but they sourced the correct one and had it installed within the initially projected 90 minutes. We went to book a wheel alignment as well but they did a computer check of the wheels and said it wasn't necessary, instead of taking our money. Will use again.

I’ve been going to Halfords Acton for the last 3 years to get my car MOT there’s one a lot nearer to me but I like this one and I gotta say the staff are really friendly and did the MOT real quick,while waiting for my car I always walk down to the roundabout there’s a cafe called jungles cafe which is a great way to kill a bit of time the food and tea was exceptional,Halfords called me while I was in the cafe to let me know my car passed and was ready to be picked up every thing went so well on that day and also every time I’ve been there a big thanks to the Halfords team they were great definitely will continue going there they got 5 stars because they deserve it what more can I say 😊😊😊

I think it was a little over priced. As usual they like to do the add ons as a sales thing. Don't feel pressured ask around and check first before you tell them to go ahead. I did a service and mot. I passed but they wrote a not on it saying the passenger seatbelt could not be tested because of car seat. That rocked my boat. How easy is it to undo a seat belt and check it for Pete's sake. Seems very idiotic. Don't know if I will go there again.

I endorse what others say about friendly and helpful service (Mourad & Ewelina). However I was booked for an MOT appointment at 1315h. and skipped lunch to keep it. Mourad then had to tell me that the mechanics would be at lunch until 1400h. so they would start work then, and the car (a 3 year old Peugeot 2008) would be ready at 1445h., which it was. Why does the booking system make appointments for times at which no mechanics are available?

There’s no turning back to technological advance. Yet when our car is in trouble, an excellent (live) customer service can’t be beaten. The service provided by Halfords Action is similar to a good old friend that is there when we need. For years I have been taking my car to Halford Acton either for a MOT, or service or the times my car has let me down badly. In the last ‘rescue operation’ the worst of them all, it was Ewelina, Carlos, Tony, Amir, Jo, Mohammed and Jordan – a team of experts that have done their part with due care and professionalism the repair of my car. Technology is great but what could be better than a service with a human touch, hands-on expertise, at affordable prices? I had tyre puncture was getting done through RAC insurance and where there was an issue to get the job done due to the lack of information provided by the RAC to authorise the job and the person who booked the car in from halford didn’t ask for enough information to get the job done, however when arrived at the centre the tyre wasn’t there which made the situation worse but the lady at the reception called EWELINA was very helpful and called the head office to get the problem sorted and get the tyre ordered at the same time where she took a lot of time and effort to get it done where the job could of been done beforehand and made it easy by the person who done the booking. I went to Halfords Autocentre in Acton on 9 April. I was greeted by the manager Ram who was extremely professional and courteous, he handled my tyre replacement without much fuss. I went in, Ram got a mechanic to check the tyre, called the insurance company who have an account with Halfords. Ram then called me back later in the day as soon as the replacement tyre arrived and this was fixed within 20 minutes. After reading the reviews online about Halfords autocentres, I was dreading this visit and I feel I can understand why some other people have had bad experiences which is why I have marked it 4 stars. All the staff in the garage besides the manager Ram seemed aloof and only interested in splashing water on each other and having a laugh I witnessed this both times I went there.
