Alf and the team were great. I booked online to replace a tyre, but I mistakenly arrived a day early to my appointment; I was accommodated without any delay and in fact they also balanced the other wheel, which I had not requested. They were very engaging and fun. Overall I was very pleased with the experience.

Was told the car would be ready for 4pm, got an email and phone call letting me know it was done at 3:30pm, and on pick up noticed they'd fixed the cover on my wing mirror and, I think, changed my car key battery as well free of charge. I bought a car from a dealer on 13.04.22 and noticed on my way home an intermittent electrical fault. I booked it in to Halfords Autocentre Finchley to have a few checks almost instantly (15.04.22). When I arrived to collect the car Joel and Kash were concerned about the issues in the car and best advised that i return the car. Joel also insisted i be refunded for the checks. Overall very friendly, helpful, honest staff. Will 1000% be taking my next vehicle to them for a look over.

I was having my tyre replaced in the morning by the autocentre and stumbled upon a few issues (missing wheel security nut [misplaced by a non-Halfords garage], had to get a new security nut, and an issue with the new tyre) but the Finchley autocentre team were patient, were able to offer solutions immediately and still managed to get my tyre replaced on the same day despite the issues!

To start on a positive - service was very quick, price was very reasonable and Covid rules were adhered to the whole time! But...trying to sometimes reach this centre over the phone is near impossible. Secondly, when I first arrived and the guy on the desk was checking my details with me, he read out the wrong number - someone else’s - this is not very discreet, professional or confidential - staff should be trained to just ask the customer to confirm the last 3 digits! Thirdly, I was specifically told that I would get a call to let me know when my MOT was done, well I ended up having to call them myself because I never got a call or an email to let me know...no communication! Lastly, I was given some paperwork, but only realised once I got home, that the front sheet was for my car, but the back sheet was for someone else’s, so again, not very responsible - where is their attention to detail? Someone out there has all my details and I have theirs...I did later receive the correct / relevant / appropriate invoice and other paperwork via email, but these things should be checked thoroughly first! When I picked up my car, the guy who gave me my paperwork hardly spoke with me - didn’t even tell me that my car had passed or went through any of the specifics with me...not very personal! I feel that some “teething issues” need to be ironed out here...

Arrived 10-15 minutes early but car was taken straight in. It was suggested I went for a coffee and I would receive a call when the car was ready. I returned just after the hour and the car was just about ready.

I booked a headlamp alignment online after being advised of that fault on failing my MOT (done elsewhere). I dropped my car off and when I returned they told me the work wasn't needed and suggested the correct fix which I could do myself.
They cancelled the booking and told me to call the head office to get a refund. Did that today, and without fuss had that confirmed too.
Now I'm not sure how many garages would actually advise their customers that work doesn't need to doing and suggest an alternative!
I was really impressed, and appreciated not being charged unnecessarily. The gent who served me was friendly and very helpful. I've given 5 stars even though I can't comment on their work, but for customer service, they're faultless. Will definitely be back!

I have been taking my car to this place for an MOT for the past 3 years, but this year I decided the car needed a service as well as the MOT. Staff are helpful, but I think they are a little overpriced and 3.5 hours seemed unusually quick for a service and MOT. Also, on the previous two occasions when I just went for a MOT, nobody called to tell me when my car was ready, so I took a chance and went back after 2 hours. Definitely room for improvement on the customer service side, otherwise fine.

Anyway after I arrived on the day I was booked in, the service was great as was the price.
Don’t expect your tyres to be in stock and don’t expect while you wait service, besides that I would still use this Autocentre, in the big scheme of things these were not major issues

Cannot rate Halfords Finchley highly enough. Super professional and friendly service, no rip-offs, great communication and everything that was being done on my car was explained / shown very clearly. The location is also very handy being close to the tube, which made dropping off and picking up my car a breeze. Will not take my car anywhere else now!

Booked online for some new rubber, choosing my day and time slot.
It appears this branch doesn’t hold any tyre stock so you need to have booked in advance. Also if you google the exact tyre your after bizarrely it costs less then doing the search on the Halfords website. This saved me £20, winner.
Turned up a bit early for my slot, they spotted my car pulling in and had the paperwork all ready for me.
About an hour later, all done and I’m on my way. Great service from friendly people at a great price.

Although the MOT was done to the expected standard, I found the dropping off and collection of the car very chaotic and haphazard. I was told that I would be called when the MOT was done but never received a call. Instead I returned after an hour and the job had been done for some time. Needs more care and attention to make it easier and convenient for customers. In comparison to other places, this was a bit disorganised.

Already an improvement with marked bays and more logical parking. Took my Chevrolet in for MOT, it failed but staff were very helpful and advised me what I needed to fix. Turned out to be suspension arm bushes which they replaced same day, then re-tested for free. Only quibbles are the high part prices - you may well be able to get cheaper parts at a trustworthy independent garage - and it always seems to take 3 or 4 attempts to call before the phone is answered. Other than that, I would recommend this autocentre.

Simple tyre replacement. I had asked them to check the pressure on all tyres which I was told they always do after any tyre changes anyway. Literally 2 days later, a different tyre showed as low pressure. I then checked all other tyres and 2 others were low too so they had clearly not topped up the pressure as they said they would.

SIMON at Finchely Halford has done a fantastic job aligning my wheels, which was previously been done wrongly at halford's Watford branch. Simon has been exceptionally friendly and professional throughout the process assistanting me from reception to the end . He did tracking himself and did test drive afterwards while I was in car . The dreadful quality of tracking done by Watford branch has been offset by Simon's excellent work .
