I have used these guys before and found them to be good and reasonable. I once asked them if they could do an MOT for me and they said that they did not do them. Other people have stated in their reviews that J&J did do an MOT ? I'm a little confused.

Just had a full service and MOT. This garage appeared to have resolved an ongoing engine management light issue which 2 other garages weren't able to solve (and in the process I had spent about £1000 trying to fix). Very transparent with price. Very helpful, and if there are any tasks which fall outside of the scope of the garage, they give good advice on where to get the required service. As a result I learnt how to deal with various car issues which I didn't know previously. Will use again.

This place is a winner in every sense. All you ask for in looking for a car mechanics and service centre is a bit of honesty. I feel it's so easy to get ripped off with these sort of places. Well let me assure you that this place is the real deal. Peter and John were both friendly and professional. Their honesty was refreshing and actually helpful. My fairly old car passed it's MOT without any fuss (unlike at a different place the year before!) And their advice in further maintenance was very much appreciated, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Being a woman I have had some bad experiences with mechanics and have always had a distrust until I used J and J Autos. I thought my beloved car was beyond repair or at least going to cost the earth to fix and no doubt get ripped off in the process as I have in the past. J and J Autos were recommended by a friend who had used them before and I can safely say my trust has been restored. The staff we all incredibly friendly, had time and patience to explain the problems my car had in layman terms to a clueless female. I had taken my car to a garage elsewhere a few weeks before to get a quote and a breakdown of all the problems it had, not only did they panic me by the expense of the quote, they reeled off a list of problems that HAD to be fixed in order for it to run properly again. As clueless as I may be I was suspicious of the amount of repairs they said had to be carried out and that's when my friend told me about J and J Autos. When my car was assessed by J&J they reassured me by saying that more than half of the problems explained by the previous garage were not essential and could easily be left for a future date. Their price was a lot less than that of the other garage. My car was returned to me in fully functioning order in a matter of days, I was expecting weeks with all the work that was needed. I was kept informed throughout the process and now I have my dear car back on the road running like a dream. Thank you to all the staff. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Excellent garage, honest service and good prices. Could want nothing more for a mechanic. I had my MOT done here, and passed with no extra costs. The owner then advised me to get tryes changed, and told me of a good value place to get it done. I can't recommend highly enough

Lucky to have a friendly and honest garage in the area. Can get pricey at times, but I mark it down to my car getting on in years and some things being tricky to diagnose and repair. They've done a better job fixing and tuning engine issues on my car than dedicated specialists I've brought it to.
