I went to Max today for the first time for my MOT and then came back to replace brakes on my car. What can I say - I was so impressed by his professional service, communication and honesty. This is a breath of fresh air and something I'm not used to when dealing with car repairs! I hadn't heard of this garage before as they were previously in Hackney but they'd moved to this Wood Green location last year and I'm so grateful to finally have a reliable local garage that won't try to rip me off. I'll definitely be back here for my future service and have recommended others. 10 out of 10 for everything - speed, quality, service and value. I feel so much safer driving my car now after getting it treated here - driving it feels smooth and brand new. Thanks guys👍

An excellent experience. I bought my VW round at short notice after it started making a strange noise. The problem was quickly diagnosed and a fairly significant job was completed by the end of the following day. They showed me the broken parts and also replaced a side bulb that had gone while they were at it. Very happy to recommend.

These guys are my heroes. An engine warning sign popped up on my dash Thursday eve, I left a message on their vm Friday morning, dropped the car off Friday midday and by early Saturday afternoon, I got it back - fixed and running better than ever. Unfortunately I had to have a fair bit of work to do because the car lot who sold it were dodgy but the guys broke down the work needed to me, and made sure I understood what I was signing off. When I got to the garage to collect, they physically walked me through everything that was done and supported it with 'before and after' shots. I've only had the car 6 months and my MOT is due in Sept. I know exactly where I'm going for that and ALL my car issues in the future! Thanks guys!

Needed an emergency job done at short notice, Max took extra care to ensure that he could fit me in for a fast and quality same day repair at an honest price. Requested for pictures to be taken for my own interest in the mechanical steps taken for this repair which the team happily took and sent over as soon as the job was done whilst keeping me updated on progress. Wasn't able to pick up the car before they closed on the Saturday meaning I would have to pick it up on the following Monday and be without a car for 2 days but Max arranged for the garage to be opened so I can pick up the car up when I was back at 11pm on that same night! Extremely satisfied with the customer service and would 100% recommend for all your vehicle services and repairs. Massive thanks to all at Max's garage.

Don’t normally do these reviews but I feel like I had to as I was very pleased with Max’s garage . My car got dropped of to Max’s at 11 in morning and was finished and ready to go by 1pm . Reasonable prices and very helpful friendly staff . They even went out of their way to top up my oil , screen wash and air in tyres . Defo will be going back in future to get my regular 6month service . 10/10 👍🏻

I've had two jobs done recently at Max's garage - one full service and one clutch repair (!!!). Both jobs were done swiftly and efficiently and the clutch repair, in particular, was done at a very reasonable price, coming in at £720 for parts and labour - a very good price, given the size of the job. They do prefer cash payments but will take card if cash is tricky to get hold of. A word on the negative review below this - I'm always very suspicious of a badly written review with poor grammar so.....

Was originally slightly apprehensive when I read the reviews saying some reviews had been faked, however when I read a few more it became apparent that this has just been taken over by new management (which Max confirmed when I arrived) and the bad reviews older than 6 months were probably no longer applicable. I'm glad I disregarded them as I was extremely happy with the service. Max managed to book my car in for an MOT on the same day, within the hour and done it for a very decent price! Would have had a nightmare had it not been for Max. Makes it even better that he's actually a really nice person as well.

Had trouble with my alternator maxs garage arranged for my car to be picked up and brought to the shop. I explained it was a big problem for my car to be off the road so they ensured it was fixed quickly and for a resonable price. I also had the MOT done that once again was a decent price and they where promt on getting the front shock absorber sorted. Overall it was a proper job and the lads made sure to keep me updated and get the work done. Will be using this place from now on. 👍

Rang the garage for a quote after reading reviews online then took my car in, got a quote next day and got my car a day later. I went to Max's Garage and met a really helpful mechanic, I rang up on a sat and they were able to fit me in for monday.They also open late which was a good benefit to me as I was able to drop off my car when I finished work. They work very quick and discuss the work with you and get your permission before the work is carried out. I was dreading the repair cost as I drive a really nice car, which is on its last legs now! and the parts are expensive and so is working on the car, so I have been told,because of the way it has been made. I will be sending and recommending max's Garage to everyone I know, that has motoring needs. I will be using Max's Garage again in the near future if I have any more motoring needs to do with my car.

I was charged £65 for a diagnostic assessment on my car, which found a fault with my spark plugs and cylinders. This was changed and I was charged a total of approx £220.00. 3 weeks later my engine management light came back on - I was not expecting this. I went to a different mechanic who performed the same diagnostic test for £40. Average job and definitely overpriced.

He has taken over the premises from the CLEE brothers (who I happily used for many years) and his happy and honest personality is a breath of fresh air in the area. In the end, I was incredibly pleased with what Max's Garage were able to do.
