After going to 3 different mechanics and spending hundreds of pounds and countless hours trying to solve a coolant problem. The guys at DC Motor Engineers diagnosed the problem (water pump and timing belt), got the part and fixed it all before dinner time! I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Quick, professional, good quality work and most importantly a good price! I'd highly recommend them!

I used them in the past quite a lot when I lived nearby, the two brothers who run the garage were great, very knowledgeable individuals, they fixed complex issues on my car numerous times even fitted me in on the days when they were very busy, the workmanship of the mechanical repairs they did I had no problem because they were permanent fixes on the first attempt, They know how to fix most makes and models so I recommend them, I can say they are one of the few businesses in the city for honest repairs from my experience.

They were really friendly and helpful here! I was worried about a smell my car was giving off and wanted to get it checked out as I had a long drive the next day. They were completely booked up and still took time out of their busy day to check over my car to see if it would be safe for me to drive. Appreciated the help so much and was able to get home safe.

Had my Peugeot serviced here, great experience. Staff were friendly and helpful,over the phone and in person. Car was ready on time and £90 cheaper than the Peugeot dealership!

Nice fellas. They've done some good work on my car over the years. I trust them to do the right thing. Reasonable charges. Will use again. It's a bit of a small workshop but it's easy to find. Not much parking space for customers but they make do.

We had out car MOT'd elsewhere and it failed. The MOT centre warned that fixing the leaky fuel injector would be very pricey and we had a quote from another garage for over £1000 to fix it. We brought it to DC and they were very happy to help. They were completely up-front about costs and kept us well informed on their investigation and costs incurred throughout. They had our car fixed the same day for less than £400 all-in! We will certainly be going back to DC.

Had a brake fluid leak and turned out to be a loose washer. Most other mechanics could have exploited this but they told the truth and fixed it good as new. Amazing service throughout. Would recommend to anyone.

My brakes started squealing on a day out to Manchester. I found DC motors and dropped my car off. They replaced my rear discs and pads and removed some corrosion. They were very friendly and a lot cheaper than a dealer or brand name garage. It did take longer than was first quoted, but we were in Manchester all day so it wasn't an issue, if it was done quicker they would have got 5 stars. I would use them again!

As I am the director of the above mentioned garage ( Family run for 25yrs with great feedback and reviews from our loyal customer base) I felt it necessary to leave a response to the previous review from Mr Cosmin Vasile. We are always happy to take on board constructive criticism and deal with any complaints if they arise as it helps to improve our service. It has to be said that Mr Vasile has given a very false account of his experience with us. We explained everything from start to finish. It was actually his power steering that we dealt with (not water pump as he states) . In full agreement with his warranty company and obtained from one of their recommended suppliers we fitted the replacement pump. he was very happy until we asked him to settle the bill and reclaim the moneys from his warranty company with the authority number we obtained on his behalf. (all explained from the outset) It is common practice to do this and he would be reimbursed within 2 weeks.no member of staff was abrupt or rude with him at any point. Mr Vasile contacted us weeks later requesting that we get a cheaper item from ebay that he found and fit it free of charge and also give him a full refund or he would give us really bad reviews on the internet. We refused.

Its always a positive experience with these guys. I cant understand the negative feedback as I have been bringing my cars to this garage for years and wouldnt go anywhere else.
