Took my Ford Focus (2013 reg) for MOT on 23.6.22. Left car with them at 08.30 and was called at midday to say it was ready. Passed test with two advisories which were fully explained to me without any pressure from the mechanic to have jobs done by them. Very professional approach with friendly and helpful attitude. This was my first visit to John Black's but will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

John has been looking after our cars for several years now and has never let us down once! He collects our cars on time every time and when best for us. We have always had the lowest quotes from John Black and he totally transparent, open and honest and always phones during the work to advise on cost and does work needed in order of priority. He will do the necessary work and advise on other work that may need doing in near future rather than just going ahead and then presenting us with an unexpected bill, unlike many garages we havery experienced. He is a rare breed of mechanic who will do his best to keep prices to the lowest possible, which is why we and friends we have recommended him to go back to him everytime we need work done. A truly honest and genuinely friendly chap.

After being to a few different larger well known garages to try and have my problem fixed on my car I took it here. John assessed my car and found the issue within a couple of minutes he then advised on my brakes as he has spotted they were coming to the end of their life. When he advised the cost I felt it very reasonable so had it done. Voila all issues solved and now loving my car again as I thought it would never be resolved. So thank you John your a star. Great Mechanic. Fair Prices and Timely/Fast Turnaround. John just completed a Head Gasket repair which came in at the lower end of initial estimate and took exactly the time he said it would to complete. I really appreciate having John recommended to me years ago. He hasn't ever let us down over years of service (numerous MOT's, Services and now one major repair).
