Massive shout out to these guys who really saved my bacon last week when our elderly 5 series broke down on the M1 outside Milton Keynes on a weekend trip North. Managed to limp the car to Autowerx where a broken water pump was quickly diagnosed. Without a booking I’d abandoned hope of getting to my destination but Matt and his team managed to fit the repair in the following day and provided a courtesy car to continue the journey. Recently bought a used 230i and the check engine light came on. I was recommended by a friend to give Autowerx a call and they fit me in their schedule the same day, in the next hour to run a quick check. Turned out unburnt soot in the cat converter was the cause and I was advised to get the engine really hot while driving. The code was cleared and the MIL hasn't come back on since 100 miles of driving. They were really nice and didn't even charge me for their time! Guess I know where I'll be taking my car for service from now. Thanks guys! 😄

Bought my Z4 (e89) here with a roof problem and a parking sensor fault. Matt gave me the bad news of the boot having water in, which I wasn't expecting, they sorted that out first and then moved onto the roof, all sorted out in the end and were extremely fair with the total hours they charged me for. BMW wanted my left kidney just to look at the car so very happy with the result, big thanks to Matt and all that worked on my car. Everything is still working as it should and I can put the roof down without having to pull the boot lid up, looking like a muppet, thanks again guys. Excellent service and assurance from Matt at Autowerx. Approached Autowerx as I had been advised by a main dealer that my Mini, which had only done 13,000 miles, needed a new clutch. The main dealer wanted to charge around £2,500 for the work to be done. Matt talked me through my options over the phone and reassured me that I was in safe hands. They ran diagnostics and test drove the car but couldn't detect any issues with the clutch. They recommended a software update and explained how these can present as mechanical issues. All sorted in under 90 minutes with free tea/coffee whilst I waited. Can't fault them and very impressed with their honesty and professionalism. Thank you very much!

My only regret is that I didn't find this place sooner. I had previously taken my car to BMW main dealer for a service. The problem I had was the car was vibrating and shaking when braking. Autowerx took one look and told me it was the discs and pads. I had briefly told them the problem over the phone when booking the appointment. They had already ordered the parts and my car was ready in a few hours. There is a nice little waiting room with free tea and coffee. BMW main dealer told me the discs and pads were all fine!

I’ve had my first repair carried out at Autowerx today which I’m very impressed with. I’ve only been driving for a year and have already dealt with many mechanics who charge so much and don’t even fix my car problems. Matt was incredibly friendly and such a lovely guy. He was very reassuring and explained details of repair in simple terms that I (who knows very little about cars) could understand. I’m not sure if it was intentional but I even noticed he fixed the clock on my car which has never had a time set 😂 The flexibility they have around my tight schedule is also absolutely amazing. Been here for the health check-up for my e46. I really like coming to this garage, as it is kept clean and tidy. Waiting room has great sofas and free coffee when you wait, which is great. Matt is one of the friendliest and most helpful mechanics I've met in Milton Keynes and they know the cars they are working on. In my view it's a decent alternative to taking a car to a dealer as their pricing is nothing but fair.

Great all-round package - I wouldn't recommend anywhere else to any BMW owner seeking a mechanic. Over the past 6 years Autowerx has taken care of a variety of cars, from late E monikers up to the current G models, after I became frustrated with main dealership shortcomings. Service - Matt and the team are transparent, focused on the needs of the customer (e.g. don't demand the car for a full day just to do an oil change) and treat the car/the work done as if it were their own vehicle. This level of care carries, as the customer facilities are always kept clean, and the office and workshop are professionally presented. Technical - depth and breadth of knowledge and ability is impressive. Matt and the team have been able to identify and fix issues that the main dealer had overlooked. I've come to them with some unusual mechanical and electrical problems in the past, but a solution has always been found and work carried out to a high standard.

Cheaper rates than the main BMW dealers with comfortable waiting room and coffee. I have been using Autowerx for 3 years and quite happy. I recently had an issue with a front disc that had only been replaced 6 months ago. They have just changed both front discs under warranty and provided courtesy car, all at no charge and with no hassle. Excellent.

I unreservedly recommend Autowerx. I have been visiting Autowerx for about 18 months. I first came to Autowerx as a result of buying a BMW and searching for a BMW specialist to carry out the MOT/Service/maintenance work. I have had some work carried out as a result of poor previous ownership, two MOTs, two services and one maintenance session at Autowerx. I'm confident and happy to say that Autowerx is a reliable, honest, friendly garage and I actively recommend Matt and his team to people. On the occasions where I have visited for an MOT, I have had advisories but there has been no 'hard sell' or pressure to have the work carried out, instead I was reassured that it wasn't critical and could be done at some point in the future. Whenever I have visited Autowerx, everything has been explained before and after the work has been carried out. Matt and his team have been on time and clear about pricing and any work needed. I think Autowerx is more than deserving of their high review score here. I do want to say that having read the one or two negative reviews, I struggle to imagine that the situation explained by the reviewers is even remotely close to how the events actually took place. Matt and his team really do work hard to make sure that I (customer) has gone away happy and understanding of what work took place and how it was charged. I think some people fail to understand that cars do need maintenance work from time to time and have unrealistic expectations from their car and the human beings carrying out the work. I have also had a bumper resprayed by Matt's cousin, (still Autowerx, I believe) and this was also done to an equal high standard. I will continue to have Autowerx carry out work on my car and choose not to take my car anywhere else.

Excellent alternative to main dealer. You get main dealer trained mechanics and you are charged for the work on your car and not all the shiny things that the main dealer has to support. That said there is a waiting room with free coffee and WiFi so you can sit and work if the repair isn't too long. Well run and will use again.

Whilst I owned my 2001 E38 BMW 740 Sport, (8 years owned), and my 2000 E38 BMW 735 SE, (4 years owned), Matt and the team at Autowerx looked after both vehicles for about 3 years of that time until I sold them in March 2019. Okay so this company from the first phone call to the finished product were so so helpful. I rang up looking to have my 420i remapped and they managed to get me in the same day last thing on a Friday, there were some issues with hardware and they apologised and had to get me rebooked in another day it was frustrating but not there fault. After waiting a little time (due to covid-19) they got me rebooked in, when it went back in there were a few more issues (my cars software) but they got me booked in within a courtesy car and kept me in it until they sorted the issue after a lot of work on there behalf incredible results and a great price so so happy can't thank them enough for persisting through the issues and getting it sorted. Night and day difference with the car well worth it and a great service.!

I used to use another BMW independent in MK who were ex main dealer technicians who set up on their own. The service and price was good but as they got more popular the service suffered and prices went up. The nail in the coffin was when they tried to fit a £270 battery 2 years after they had fit one with a 5y guarantee. Only when i proved they did it was it replaced on warranty. After this i decided to give Autowerx a try and im really pleased i have. The service and work is first class and reasonably priced compared to main dealer. Matt will always discuss at length the potential issues/costs associated and give advice on the best repair options without a hard sell. Very knowledgeable on all things BMW, will definitely continue to use for my cars.

The owner (Matt,) his dad and the team are BRILLIANT. He employs mechanics who actually know their stuff and of course there is NO bull. I cannot recommend autowerx high enough, words will not do justice for just how easy it is to talk to them. Another unscrupulous local mini dealership wanted to charge me a fortune for work that Matt found did not need doing.The workshop is clean & tidy & the welcome very friendly. What a fantastic find, after visiting a main dealer to try and have a problem diagnosed with my E46 convertible roof, all i was left with was a bill and a roof that still did not work, due to there being "more" diagnostic work required. Luckily a work colleague reccomened Autowerx to me. I left my car with them on a morning and had a phone call the same day to tell me the fault had been found, the parts were ordered and fitted the next day. Incredible service, professional outfit and a great price, highly reccomened.
