I had a tyre damaged by a massive pothole on New Year's eve, discovered it on the bank Holiday Monday. Called Newport as my nearest, spoke to Martin who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Matched the online price, left the car with them and despite being understaffed by 50%, tyre was charged within the hour. Excellent service, thanks!

Booked a visit for my car to have two tyres fitted. VRM X60PMF Audi Q5 55 Tfsi e vorsprung competition. Also requested online when paying for the tyres and booking the appointment a battery check a visual check of the brakes along with the common sense free alignment check as new tyres are being bought. Was informed that part of the alignment needed adjustment and was shown to me. Informed that the cars advanced assistance features would need to be checked and possibly adjusted but they were unable to perform this on the day. My point is you know the exact model of the car coming and what has been requested and how this could affect the systems of the car as I was also handed a leaflet on adjusting the system at this service centre. Why then allow the booking for this work on this car when your unable to carry out the possible work nee to correct any errors. Just a pointer for further consideration. Another of note there was a water dispenser for customers but nothing else. I was expecting a drinks machine but sadly no, customers were leaving the centre to get drinks. The staff were polite, there appeared to be very few for the size of the depot and the manager I believe appeared a little stressed but still professional, polite and courteous. Regards Ian Franklin

I picked a Mercedes up from Manchester and the wheel alignment was out with the steering whelel. I rang them and spoke to a very pleasant man Called Martin. I took it straight down and sorted it immediately. I then took it back a month later to check all was still level, and they could not have helped anymore. Thanks Rob and Martin. It’s good to have confidence in fitters and mechanics. Can’t fault them all .

Car's exhaust was loose, so took it in for repair. While repairing this, they identified and fixed another issue which stopped a rattling noise while driving - all at no extra cost! Superb service. 5.45pm on a Friday and I picked up a puncture with an hour of my journey left…. I had to pull off the motorway and find a garage. I truly expected that I was too late to get a new tyre and carry on my journey but the staff could see my plight and were just fantastic. They fitted me in just before closing time, fixed the puncture rather than the cost of a new tyre and found a locking wheel nut for me (previous garage forgot to put it back after a service) which they let me keep for good measure. All done in double quick time and for next to nothing. A great bunch of people and I made my appointment in time, thank you all!!

Amazing service. Proper Newport, no drama. I went to top up my tryes the other day, ready to drive to the aitport but one of my dust caps had siezed. I swung by Kwik Fit on Clarence Place and the guys there were amazing. Changed the valve (i think), topped up my other tyres, gave me nice new caps and sent me on my way! Excellent service received yesterday from Kwik Fit at Clarence Place, Newport. Booked our car in for an MOT at 9am. The branch was open at 8.15am meaning that we could drop the car off and still get to work on time. Once the test was complete the tester phoned and left a voice message to say that the car passed the test and was ready for collection. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Would recommend.

Took my driving instructor car in today to get my tyres and brakes checked as I took the car to another branch(Caerphilly) and they said it was all fine but the brakes were actually grinding and making a squeaky noise, Bryn put the car on the ramps and soon as he took the wheels off he found that there was no brake pads left and that they needed to be replaced as it was very dangerous. Robert checked over my tyres and I had to get a puncture repaired. Even though Caerphilly branch didn't want to repair it. Amazing service and very efficient will definitely recommend to use the Newport branch.

Went in for a air con check up, the kwik fit bloke, very tall with tattoos on his arms, was very helpful and explained what would need doing. He also checked my exhausted as it was rattling and tightened it all up for me. Would defo go back again. Unfortunately the only tyre they had to replace it was £180 but to my amazement they where able to repair the puncture!! Really great Team, I recently booked up on-line 14/10 for the replacement of 3 tyres on my Golf following a service and MOT on the 13/10 at a dealership. The MOT had several advisories for my tyres and other items on my car. As I was selling the car on the 15/10 I advised my buyer of the problem and assured him that the tyres would be replaced ready for his visit and inspection on the 15/10. I arrived at Kwik Fit on time for my appointment, I was made very welcome by the Manager who had everything ready. All measures had been taken relating to Covid-19 and I felt very safe. I left the vehicle and went on a walkabout while the tyres were being fitted. After a short while I received a call on my mobile from the Manager who politely asked me why the tyres were being replaced. I explained about the MOT and my pending sale so I was very keen to solve the problem. The Manager was shocked that 2 of the tyres were subject to an advisory as they were less than half worn and had at least 5mm of tread remaining and were fully compliant for considerably more mileage. As I had promised my buyer that I would change the tyres I decided to change them anyway. I have photographs of the tyres and they do not reflect the issues related to in the advisory. The moral of this event is that it was so refreshing for the Manager and his Technicians to highlight this situation to me and possibly only fit 1 tyre instead of the 3 I had ordered. It demonstrated to me that Kwik Fit is keen to provide a very good honest service to the public and not to replace items just for the sake of profit. Well done to the Manager and his team and thank you very much. Shame on the MOT tester who clearly wants to scaremonger and generate income from the public. All in all he cost me approx £500 for the cost of the tyres and the other (accurate???) advisories that I had to fund by reducing the sale value of my car. Unfortunately due to the pending sale I was unable to investigate and contest this. Sadly once an advisory has been placed on your MOT this stays with the car forever and is widely available for anyone to view.

Super helpful staff, they didn't have the battery size we needed, as the recommended one didn't fit, so they searched and found the right one, they didn't have it in stock but they offered to get it in for us. They fixed my punctured tyre pretty quickly once I'd been booked in. It was quite busy but I had time to drive home and return back later in the day. As it was busy it wasn't the easiest to park there, and the junction getting in/out is a bit of a pain but that's not the end of the world. There's free refreshments when waiting, but could do with a bigger waiting area as I ended up sitting at one of the desks because there weren't any chairs.

Efficient, quick and cheap. If its just a recharge of aircon you need then these are the cheapest and simplest places to go. I wouldn't trust them with anything else. Pay online, then there's no hard selling on the day you're there. I had a holed condenser and the refrigerant leaked out after they recharged it. Supposedly 'leak checked', but it was recharged free after I repaired the condenser. I couldn't complain about that... 3 years later, I'm back just for a simple regas. This, is that. No issues, in and out within the hour. Friendly staff too.

I had both my rear tyres replaced today- the service was very slow, as others have stated the staff here just seem to wonder around. We were there for over an hour to have 2 tyres replaced. I was not approached on my arrival- customers should not have to approach staff. As stated above I was having my rear tyres replaced, for some unknown reason the operative attending to my vehicle carried out an inspection on my front tyres- seems I had a clout nail in my front passenger side tyre. The operative took it upon himself to remove the nail- As they Are run flats I respect Kwik Fits policy that they won't repair them- however my local garage will. The operative should not have removed the nail prior to speaking to me, they are less than 1000 miles old and at a cost of circa £200 per tyre I would like to attempt repairing at a fraction of the cost of replacing. I'm now left with an unplugged hole in my tyre- hopefully they're not flat when I get up in the morning!! I will not be using Newport Kwik Fit again.

Pulled up in my car to a huge car parking area parked my car in an area where no cars around me , but was told to move my car by an abrupt member of staff. After eventually parking my car in a space good enough for the member of staff, I was told that my tyre would cost £245.00. So I had the tyre fitted they where quick enough to do it, but after taking my money, and me checking their work, they had left tyre soap all over the front wall of tyre and alloy. Not a hard job to get off I might add. Simple things go a long way. I won't be going back.

Had a rattle from the backend, thought it was exhaust rubber bungs, it was the heat sheild plate above the exhaust the rivets had perished and the plate dropped down on the exhaust, made a rattle when turning the engine on/off, total cost to fix was free!
