This is not the most inexpensive garage to use for repairs. But they understand BMW very well, the team are quick to diagnose and update you with pricing and realistic timelines. Super professional and in my experience far better than a BMW main dealer. Would highly recommend, but just remember that you are going to pay the correct price for this level of expertise.

Aaron and Kevin replaced my 520d engine and clutch, after a helpful period of deciding on the options, the replacement engine, clutch and a few other pre-existing faults being resolved in the process. The first oil change was included and was also a useful check that everything was OK after the first 1000 miles. Now 18,000 miles and nearly two years later this has proved worthwhile, the car having much better low end than the 158,000 mile old engine could manage, the clutch no longer has the grabbiness of the old one, and the cost has been offset in what I would have lost in depreciation on a newer car. So overall, going from a bad position with the camchain to a car I can enjoy again for a few years. I do not think it would have been economical to do this work at a main dealer.

I’m re writing my review after going back to autobarn and getting my E class serviced. I’m pleased to say that I’m really happy with the service this time round! Dropped the car off at about 8am! I had already spoken to them about what service I wanted which was a major (even though the car wasn’t saying it needed one I wanted peace of mind as I don’t know the history for the past 4 years) I got a phone call and they told me that the major service wasn’t at all required! They recommend that I go on what the car says. I’ve had it before with other places where they just carry out the work without consulting me first! So I’m happy they called me to let me know and it made it a lot cheaper for me! Dropped the car off at 8am, and the car was ready by 11 so I’m really happy on the speed that the service was completed! I shall be bringing my E CLASS back here as I feel they are inexpensive and too me have got a lot better!

I own a rare BMW 840ci and have been going to autobarn for a number of years they have always gone the extra mile to look after it as with the other cars that I have had there rates are very reasonable and they always have a solution to fix anything that may go wrong.i find that they are better at servicing my car than BMW and quicker. Just a very good garage.

Had a problem with broken trim on the underneath of my car. Gave them a call as they were down the road. They told me to bring it straight over, so I did. They removed it all instantly and didn’t charge me! Angels!

Took my 2011 520 tourer in for new rear brakes £120, very happy with the price and service. Offered tea/coffee on arrival and took a leisurely walk around the vintage car garage on the premises. On completion they offered me a complimentary wash and vac but due to time constraints I had to go.

I’ve been using Autobarn on and off (as in, whenever I’ve had a BMW) since 2007 with a brief exception as I moved too far away. They have maintained a 5 series tourer, X5, and two 7 series cars in that time. After recently “reconnecting” with a car I first owned 2008-2012, and was poorly maintained by the subsequent keeper, Autobarn have been instrumental in a full mechanical overhaul and body restoration. In the time I’ve known Paul and his team, like any maintenance of a complex foreign car, things haven’t always been easy, cheap or perfect. However, you will always be given options and the guys really do understand the machines they specialise in. I am extremely glad Autobarn are able to help with my beloved car’s restoration and I would Never take a BMW anywhere else.

bmw would not start,got it to local garage.they could not start it said timing was out could of bent a valve head needed to come of ect.i towed it home.was going to sell as a non runner.but phoned a garage who deals with bmw,and for a small price could tell me if engine was knackered if i could get it there.i had it towed to AUTOBARN who had it fixed and test run the same day.they set and cleaned everything up in the engine,bores timing plugs ect.THANKS......2 years later the engine management light came on the dash.I took it to AUTOBARN again and left it there in the evening,put a note through the door. And again they phoned the next day with a reasonable price and sorted my bmw the same day...GREAT SERVICE

Took my e90 m sport today as reverse lights was not working was charged 42 quid all in were bmw wanted to put new frm control module at a cost of 1300 quid so saved me pounds .. i recommend autobarn Cheers guys!

Been using this garage for years. Good honest garage who carry out work to a high standard. Always try and do right by the customer, 5* customer service.
