Whenever I need to book my car in they always have good availability. The girls in the office are really friendly and the text reminders are handy to remind me of when my cars booked in. Just had an MOT for £30 and I had collected the car back within 2 hours! Fab service - I really recommend!

My partner took our car in to have a tyre looked at as a nail was in it. They were able to fit the car in within a hour of her call and were able to repair the tyre for £18. She had to take our two young children 3 and 1 to the garage and luckily they have a great area for the children which made the visit that much easier for everyone. Can not recommend them enough. Professional, polite, efficient and reasonably priced.

MOT test. We’ve used this garage for MOT for several years. Always a good price and the staff are really upbeat and friendly. They carried out suspension repairs last year when one of our cars failed the MOT,. No complaints about the quality of work, speed of service or price - all were very good.

Booked in for my MOT today 28th Feb-22. Despite being busy my car had its MOT as booked. The communication was excellent and I was given an approximate duration for the MOT with a call and text to let me know when it was completed. I would definitely recommend them

Needed an oil service, they were quick, efficient and far less than Halfords who told me I needed an interim service for sixty pounds more. Update: Three days later, the oil warning light came on. Checking the oil, it was very low with oil on the floor where the car had been parked all day. Returned to the garage where, I am told, they found that the seal around the oil filter was faulty. They fixed the issue and have offered to pay for the oil I had to purchase as a result of this issue.

Fast super efficient and the guys and gals here are super friendly, happy, smiley and very welcoming took my car in for 8 and was done within half hour I can always count on them getting my car done fast and getting me an appointment either same day or next early morning. My tracking always bang on won’t go anywhere else thanks not impressed they put the price up an extra £15 that’s disgusting a mass increase so it’s now £45 for front £90 for both that’s not good at all I find that too steep but for everything else they’re faultless 😊

They were amazing again this week, always are even thiugh luckily i only use them once ish a year. I bought a car from car shop,(yeah I know I ignored the general advice), it wasn't driving right, though car shop were trying to fob me off to Jan, despite my only having it 24 hours, however I called here and they booked me in that same afternoon, they did a great inspection report, then ince i got it approved they managed to do all the work this week. I had a very bad experience with the M.O.T of my car with another garage and was apprehensive of going elsewhere, i needn't have worried. These guys were professional, friendly and very helpful, they put me completely at ease. I was able to get a next day appointment for my M.O.T and i was to be told if there were extra costs or work involved up front, rather than just going ahead with the work then be expected to pay. If i had to give stars out of 10 I'd give 11. Highly recommended.

I called up at 10:30am asking if they could squeeze my car in & do a diagnostic check due to the car being faulty & having to return it to the dealership. Even though they were fully booked, they let me bring my car down & said they would do their best to get it back to me by 2pm. Come 11:45 they were calling to let me know they had finished & I could collect my car. When I collected the vehicle the mechanic & receptionist talked me through the issues and also sent me / printed all the information regarding the issues so I had it at hand. Without this information, I would have had trouble with the rejection of the vehicle. Can’t thank them enough for their help today and would 100% recommend to friends and family. Phoned them about needing a new tyre as had a puncture at about 16.00 to see if they could do anything. I was not hopeful as they closed at 18.00 and a couple of other centres had said they could not do it for 2 or 3 days. They did not have the tyre in stock but thought they could get one. Intown look after my car and van with both service and MOT work...this year I left it a little late to book my MOT so had to nip the van elsewhere as they were booked up.. worst mistake ever the van failed which is fine but the garage I went to tried to charge me £800 for 2 rear shocks and 2 bulbs. I rang intown back and spoke to the owner who is a great guy and he sorted it for me to be squeezed in that day. They sorted out all repairs and a new MOT all for less than half the price of the other garage... and was so helpful as always lesson learnt for me to not go elsewhere in future. Reception staff really helpful, professional and polite aswell also always greeted well over the phone whoever answers.

Unfortunately my car broke down last night, at 17:45 diagnosis was alternator. I called Intown and they shut at 18:00 but was happy to wait for car to be dropped. Got there and was greeted by a lovely receptionist. They booked car in for today at that short notice and time for appointment was 12:15. I was delighted when at 12:30 my car was ready to be picked up. This was excellent service and a fair price. Customer service was great from the whole Intown team. Many Thanks will always use you.

Couldn't get a brand and model of tyre locally to match the other 3 tyres on the car. Was able to order what I wanted on line and have delivered to In Town Automotive. Not done this before. The process worked well. Tyre delivered in 2 days and fitted on the next working day. Good price for fitting. Took a bit longer than expected, so had a bit of a wait, and had to call back after a call wasn't returned, but I think Covid is still affecting some aspects of businessess. Nevertheless, would still recommend.

Was a very good friendly service. I took my car for its MOT on Monday unfortunately it failed but the work was carried out that day and they have allowed me to spread the cost over four months with a 0%APR and no credit checks so it was really hassle free. This is the second time I’ve used this company to mot my car. The booking process online is very easy to use and I got a text confirmation nearer the time to remind me. I waited while the mot was done and was told to help myself to a coffee which was very pleasant. AVOID THIS GARAGE!! Zero customer service. I booked my car in for an MOT using a voucher I purchased from Groupon. I called In Town Automotives to arrange a date to bring my car in. I called the garage the day before the arranged date to confirm my booking. The staff advised there were no booking for my vehicle. I assumed there was a genuine mistake so rescheduled for another day. Upon arrival, the receptionist were quite helpful, but again they advised my car wasn't booked on the system but said they can fit my car in. The garage had my car for FOUR days to complete an MOT. During this 4 day period, I telephoned the garage on several occasions for an update and each time I was promised a call back but this never happened. At 1.30, I finally recieved a call from one of the receptionist stating that my car failed its MOT and needed rear brakes. I informed them that I had the parts in the boot and asked how much it will cost to fit . The receptionist told me that it would be £40 to strip the vehicle to which I agreed and told them to call me back once complete so I could arrange collection. My wife called me around 5pm and stated that she will be passing the garage so offered to collect the keys. I then receive a phone call from the garage stating that my car will cost £99.16 for the works carried out. I was shocked as I was previously quoted £40. I asked for a breakdown and was informed that this was for the strip down and fitting of my rear brakes plus retest charge for my MOT. REALLY!!!! I didn't even receive an invoice showing the breakdown of works carried out...... Not only was I inconvinienced for FOUR days with no car they also had the cheek to charge me an extra £59.16 which they claimed was for a re-test. I'm sure that it stated in the terms and conditions of the Groupon voucher that retest are free as long as the car doesn't leave the garage and work is carried out by them which it was. The only clause would be that I had the part required. Personally - I will not be using this garage again and would advise anyone who is thinking of using the garage to make sure everything is in writing, Don't take their word for gospel and check your vehicle thoroughly on collection. **UPDATE ** Since posting the review above, In Town Automotive contacted me and offered a free mini service and valet for the inconvenience. They also collected the car from my home address and delivered it back FOC (free of charge). The fact that they contacted me and agreed to rectify the problem by servicing my vehicle for free is a sign of good customer service. However, I still ended up parting with £30 as they carried out a diagnostic check. Apart from that - well done In Town Automotive. Let's hope we can continue the good relationship.

I have taken both family car for years and have always received a great service. Staff have always been friendly and kept me informed of any repairs that were discovered during an MOT or service. Give you the option for them to fix it with a quote upfront or you can opt to sort it out yourself. I have recently taken my Scooter to have an MOT, decided to wait there rather than have a walk around because of the cold weather and it was a very pleasant experience. Lots of free coffee and biscuits. Have recommended to family members and friends who live in the Northampton area and they have all received good service. If you want a courtesy car or pick-up drop-off service you must tell them in advance. Limited on the number of courtesy cars available and they need to schedule staff to be available for collecting your vehicle etc.

I took my car here for an MOT due to it being a better price than many of its competitors. I was asked to drop the car off 15 minutes before the time of the MOT (which I did) and that the MOT itself would be done in 45 minutes. I returned to the garage at the agreed time, only to have to wait a further 1hr 30 minutes for the MOT to be completed, meaning that in total the took 2hrs 15 minutes to carry out a job they had told me would take 45 minutes. I then needed a tyre replacing, and was assured that they would 'have me out of there in under an hour'. An hour came and went, and eventually I got my car back after a further 50 minutes had gone by. This was a long time to be sitting in a small waiting room, and time that I could better have spent doing other things had i been told a more realistic estimate of how long it would take them to carry out the work. On the plus side, the staff on reception are courteous and friendly. Even when other customers were getting irate due to the long waiting times, they remained very professional. However, I think it is just a case of them taking on too many jobs at once, as everyone in there appeared to be suffering the same long waits as myself.

Just had my MOT renewed by In Town . I booked through the hassle free online service and received the usual confirmation email. Pleased to say the car passed with flying colours (again) and I received the expected good customer service and a free coffee while I waited for the test to be completed. I am a returning customer who will return again. It is nice to have a reputable local garage that can be relied upon. I would recommend that If you do intend to use In Town that you arrive a five or ten minutes before your appointment to ensure you get comfortably parked outside in good time. I also used In Town a few months ago to fit some tyres I had bought from a large online tyre supplier. Hassle free service as they receive the tyres at the garage for you, so no need to stay home yourself to accept the delivery and they then ring you to arrange the best time to fit. A very good price and excellent service.

After being told by another garage that my Air-con could not be re-gassed, probably due to a blockage, I took to In Town. They found no problem, and successfully re-gassed it. I'm a bit worried by the fact that the print-out they gave me says that no oil was added during the re-gas. (Hence 4 stars instead of 5) They assure me that oil was added, it happens automatically. I shall see how it goes. I was also told that you don't get blockages, even though their own website lists "Clogging of expansion valve",as a possible fault. I would've thought that meant a blockage, but what do I know.
