Well what can I say Mick really knows his stuff when it comes to Renaults. He has had my 1993 16v Clio in for various maintenance checks, service and upgrades and I could not be happier. He is vastly knowledgable, happy to chat about the car as well as offering unrivalled service. If you have any old skool Renaults as well as newer models this is where you need to come no matter what distance you are away. 5*****

I visited Diamond Motors on the 16th of June, I made a round trip of 200 miles to see Mick at Diamond Motors to allow him to carry out a timing belt change on my Renault Clio 182, as well as water pump and auxiliary belt inspection. Upon arrival, Mick was extremely friendly, explaining the work he was carrying out, he would take pictures to document the work and any issues encountered he would ring me before proceeding. The level of work Mick has carried out is exceptional, as evidence for himself of marker lines where he has tightened bolts but also gives me the customer peace of mind. Additionally Mick mentioned he spotted I was missing a washer under my engine mount, which he has rectified for me free of charge. I would whole heartedly recommend anyone uses Mick at Diamond Motors, regardless of distance as I would not hesitate to use him again myself.

Mick has worked on a couple of cars for me over the years. A Renault Megane that had an ignition issue that numerous other garages were unable to fix, and a Nissan Juke which he serviced and recently resolved a handling issue on. On both cars Mick used his vast knowledge to diagnose the problems and sort them out as quickly as possible. All the while keeping me up to date what he's uncovered, how he's going to fix it & how much it's going to cost. He's also 100% transparent with what he fixes, taking numerous photos and even allowing to to inspect any offending parts he's replaced. I really can't recommend him enough. He is an absolute (pardon the pun) diamond bloke

Unfortunately I brought a car from a deal with a rear bolt for the alloy that wouldn't thread in. Mick knew what the issue was before he had even seen the vehicle and carried out the work. He took the time to go over a few other things that needed attention on my car. Some of which he sorted without charge. Recently took ownership of my megane rs250 and it was clearly unloved by its previous owner..mick was recommended from the renaultsport forums and I'm genuinely so glad I made the 50 mile journey to see him! The booking was an easy process on the website, went to have to my timing belt, aux belt, waterpump and dephaser pulley changed, along with a leaking clutch damper line and gearbox seal. I felt so welcomed and mick worked on my car like it was his own. He gave it a check over and gave recommendations on what could be done to make it better. The megane now runs superbly, as mick changed all the belts, the dephaser, fresh oil and filter, fresh coolant, new gearbox seal, fresh gearbox oil and a new clutch damper line. It genuinely feels like a new car again. Mick will be the only mechanic I will take my car to from now on as I've had some really bad experiences in the past. Honestly if you own a renaultsport, this is the only place I would recommend for any work. Top mechanic and top service provided!

Mick did an incredible job servicing my Twingo 133. I travelled over an hour to get to him and wasn't disappointed. His level of knowledge of Renault cars is clearly exceptional. Really took the time to talk me through the work that he'd done on the car and what problems to look out for. Mick is brilliant at Diamond he really does know his stuff and will always run through any work with you prior to undertaking it to make you feel completely at ease. Even keeping the broken pieces to show you where your noises or rattles have been coming from. At times he can be Mr Illusive and hard to get hold of but that is down to the sheer amount of people that go to him to work on their cars. I like to think of it like a restaurant would you ever try one with no one in? Or would you wait and know that your going to get good service at a busy one? If you send an email through the website be sure to check your spam as for some reason, when you first email diamond the replies will end up in your spam folder. But Mick will get back to you eventually sometimes I find it easier to give him a bell, just make sure your have plenty of battery on your phone because once you get him started his enthusiasm for Renaults is clear to hear! Those of us unfortunate enough to own an Renault never mind an RS like me know what a pain they can be. He may not be the cheapest around but the quality of his work at the service he provides is second to none. So far in the year of owning an RS he's overhauled my suspension, sourced me new front callipers and currently waiting on a clutch replacement, leaving me selling organs on the black market! Sorry for the essay but people are all to quick to slate people in this digital day an age, so just wanted to give one of the genuine mechanics out there a shout out!

Had a 200 mile round trip yesterday for timing belt water pump dephaser etc. From the moment I met Mick he just instilled confidence in me his knowledge of Renault’s is second to none and attention to detail well you can tell he loves his job. When he was finished gave me few tips about certain things to look out for on my Megane. I drove 2 hours to see mick after seeing him recommended in a forum, to have the cambelt and water pump done on my megane rs 250. You're immediately made to feel welcome, I said i wouldn't hover over him whilst he worked but be was happy for me to watch, and that's where it became clear how much this man knows these cars. Methodical clean approach to his work, and instantly spots minor faults, not aimed at upselling just to offer advice on how to best look after your car. Hes genuinely passionate about what he does and you can see your car is in the hands of the best person for the job. Can't recommend Mick enough. Really knows his stuff even down to noticing an incorrect bolt was used on my Clio 172 cup. Very passionate and proud of his work. Much better service and standard than you would receive from a main dealer.
