Simply outstanding service. Came down from Scotland to visit friends and as soon as I got here the rear brakes started to grind. Not only did they do everything they could to fix the pads and discs, they had it ready on the same day 3 hours later! Friendly, polite, helpful. Tip your mechanics people!!

Friendly, reliable and helpful garage who are reasonably priced. It's hard to find a garage to trust but these guys have really come through for me a number of times, most recently a super fast turn around on an alternator replacement after I broke down which allowed me to still go on holiday. So yeah, definitely five stars from me for that although I've used them over the years and they've always been great.

I took my car to KAM servicing for its annual MOT and service. Unfortunately it failed it’s MOT and some additional work had to be done. All the work was done on the same day for a very fair price. The rear suspension had to be changed and it made a very noticeable difference! I noticed a new noise, however and called the garage up to see if they could have a look. Sean booked the car in at our earliest convenience, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within an hour and did not charge me for it. I’m very grateful for the hassle free and quality work done on my vehicle. Couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you again.

Cannot fault these guys. Booked an MOT well in advance, but in the meantime had an accident that prevented me from driving. As I live on the same street as the garage I asked if there was any way they could come and collect my car for the MOT and return it after so I didn’t miss it. Not only did they do that for me, but they also rotated my tyres at no extra cost and kept me informed all the way through what was happening. They returned my car and my daughter was able to go and pay on my behalf. Excellent service above and beyond what I expected. If I could give a 10 star rating, I'll definitely would. The words cannot describe how trustworthy, honest, and professional this garage is. As a Uni lecturer who has very little/ no understanding of mechanics, I was really pleased about my first experience today to the point I nearly left in tears. I have booked a brake system inspection which is supposed to be £24.99. Surprisingly, on my way to the garage appointment, I heard a grinding noise in my front wheels and I told the guys in the garage about it. I was called after 2 hours to pick my car. The guys mentioned that there was no problem with the braking system at all and he mentioned that the rubber shield was touching, hence why I heard the noise and he fixed it. I asked about how much I need to pay today and he said it is free, you don't have to pay anything even for the braking system inspection. I thought that was very kind and thoughtful. I will definitely stick with KAM Sherwood Nottingham in the future and I even booked my full service and MOT with them next week. Guys, I highly recommend this garage to anyone especially those who had a bad experience in the past with other garages.

Great and honest service. I took my 14 year old mini to have a dreaded Mot and service. The guys were very accommodating and got me in a day earlier than booked as my plans changed. Mini had a look at my car when I took it for a new part and said to get to to MOT standard I needed a lot of work doing, luckily it wasn't due then so I took it to Kam. They came back and said the work that needed doing would cost half the price of Mini and they had identified the same problems as to what Mini had. I got a great price for the work and service and felt comfortable throughout the whole process as it was my first time doing this. Will be making this my garage of choice and recommending friends and family.

On the way to work couple of lights came up on the dash in my car. Once checking I noticed my auxiliary belt had snapped. I looked on the Internet for local garages and kams was 0.6mile away so gave them a call. When they answered they were friendly, polite and very helpful. They said bring it straight in so I popped it up to them. They made it really easy for me and after giving them a few contact details I left the car with them and I walked back down to work. An hour later I get a call telling me the issue and the price which I found very reasonable so asked them to do the work. Couple of hours later got another call saying its all done and ready to pick up. All the way through this the staff at Kams were helpful and professional and did a great job to get me back on the road the same day.

A few weeks ago, I had to get my van in for an MOT and service, something most people dread- Shaun and his team at KAM made it an easy and painless procedure, explaining everything to me and genuinely being friendly and approachable. A few days after having that work done, I had an accident which tore the extraction fan unit off my van roof. It was a specialist part from America, not cheap and not an easy fix! I was really upset and sad and didn't know who else to call. Having just had a great experience with Shaun, I called in a panic to see if they could do anything. He said to immediately bring it in- no questions asked. Shaun went above and beyond, talking me through the fix, he completely re-built the entire fan unit. It took him days and he never once was anything but kind, happy and thoughtful. Not knowing much about cars or mechanics, garages are usually quite intimidating places for me. But Shaun made KAM the easiest, most pleasant experience. I can't recommend Shaun and KAM enough for their dedication, hard work and friendly service! Will not be going anywhere else in the future! After buying a Land Rover discovery 4 back in February it developed a major engine fault. I spoke to my warranty company A1 approved who pointed me in the direction of kam servicing to carry out the repairs. Gaz collected my car from my home address and told me he will handle the job from start to finish Gaz kept me updated the entire time with pictures and videos. it turned out to be a major job requiring a lot of new parts and labour. Gaz sorted everything out for me and dealt direct with the warranty company to ensure all work was covered. Once the work was completed they even delivered the car back to me, which really goes above and beyond the service I have ever received from any other garage. I can not thank these guys enough and will recommend them to everyone. Honest decent friendly and professional people. If I could give 100 stars I genuinely would.

Gave my car(VW Golf Diesel) on a Saturday for servicing with few minor faults like the charging socket not working, some problem with the exhaust system. I got the car back on the same day with everything sorted out at a very cheap rate(i.e £227) for new wiper blades, charging socket fix, full service which comes with MOT and a welding job for the exhaust system. Shaun(service adviser) did not try to sell me anything which was not required. They even gave me some advisory notes for my car. Overall I'm really happy with their work and will definitely be going back to them

Where do I start? These guys have continued to exceed expectations time after time! After purchasing an older used Jeep, I took it to KAM for a major service as it had been sitting on a sales forecourt for a while and I wanted to be up to speed with any repairs that might need doing before it's next MOT. Sadly there was quite an overwhelming list of issues noted but Shaun was brilliant about it all, informing me of the severity of each of the issues and breaking the work down in to manageable chunks over a realistic time frame instead of hitting me with a huge bill and suggesting immediate repair. For each repair so far the guys have gone above and beyond to help me out and get my baby running smoothly despite issues with sourcing specialist parts and rectifying shoddy work from its previous owner. Most of the repairs have been carried out the same day unless there's been an issue with parts, in which case I've been kept well in the loop with progress reports. Especially as a woman who knows very little about car mechanics its really important to feel like you've not been ripped off and not once have I felt that any repairs were overpriced or unjustified. Yes these folks are a little more expensive than other local garages but the quality of work and aftercare I have received is well worth the extra. These guys are salt of the earth, and I can't thank them enough for giving my old banger a new lease of life !

My cousin recommended these guys. Brilliant service. I had expectations of spending a lot more money but they checked my mileage and said I didn't need to spend as much as I thought. Tyres are great and no more drag in the steering. Definitely recommend them! For a decent set of tyres they're cheaper than most people's budget tyres.

I've been here a couple of times because I read they are very thorough and professional even if it does cost more than most garages. I can't give them more than a 3* though because for the amount you pay you do expect a certain level of service every time and this last time was a disappointment. They charge £45ph and it took 1 hr to diagnose an issue with my car. To their credit the piece of paper they give you showing their diagnosis looks very nice (although they'd listed a warning light that was on but it actually wasn't). Before booking it in I was told that if I had any repairs done by them, the cost of diagnosis would be subtracted from the total so I was happy to go ahead. After the diagnosis I explained I'd be supplying my own parts as they use Eurocarparts, and I have a modified car which has many uprated parts inside so I'd be using a higher end component. I was told they generally don't work with parts they don't supply and even if they made an exception, they wouldn't subtract the diagnosis charge (despite being told fitting would be around 2 hours work). This was contrary to what was agreed previously and despite explaining the situation clearly and calmly I was met with unreasonable repeated replies from a smirking employee. The owner seems like a nice chap but things need to be more clear to avoid such situations in future. Had I known they wouldn't subtract the diagnosis charge I'd have thought twice about having them take a look. To summarise, they seem to do good work. Be careful of extra "non faults" on their diagnosis that you MAY be charged for (I never got this far but I can imagine less informed customers simply footing the bill at the end with no questions), and be 110% clear about any costs you have to pay for diagnosis/labour/parts.

Can’t give a twenty-five star review, so a five will have to do! Won’t take my car anywhere else for servicing, MOT, or repairs. Faultless and friendly customer service every time. Fair pricing and have never quoted me unnecessary work. Case in point; been in today for a full service, health check, investigating a suspicious rattle and rebalancing of my tyres. They noticed that my front tyres are more worn than the rear and rather than quoting for two new tyres, suggested I swap the front ones to the back to get another couple of month’s life out of them. Won’t get that kind of honesty from many other places! Would recommend to a friend... and family... and strangers on the street. Thank guys!

i recently took my hyundai i40 to the North Sherwood Street branch for a replacement clutch(Tuesday 14th July 2020),price was very reasonable (less than half the price Hyundai quoted) sadly there where issues,they fitted the clutch and there was a problem,they couldnt bleed it,Danny rang me and was honest about the problem and explained it was a suspected faulty part so he had to remove the gear box and start again,i was reassured there would be no additional cost to myself and they would update me,true to his word the following 2 days i recieved honest phone calls from Danny(clutch no 2 also created promlems which led to technical help from both LUK and Hyundai) but i was kept fully informed of the issue and genuinely appreciated his honesty rather than being fobbed off.after speaking to Danny on the friday i recieved a call 09.00 saturday morning to say the car was ready,Danny wasnt there in person when i collected the car so thankyou Danny for keeping me informed and the rest of the team for sorting it out,and true to there word i only paid the price quoted.will definatley use them again and highly recommend
