First class service. As an ex Vauxhall master tech who fell out of love with the motor trade I needed specialist help with my poorly Landy. No other ‘specialist’ garages were interested and I was recommended Devon Gearboxes by a colleague. Absolutely blown away by the professionalism and customer service shown by ALL the staff and especially Derek (hope that’s correct spelling) . Top people, honest service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for transmission problems. Highly recommended, just a pity we can only give 5 stars!

Took my old ford Galaxy in for diagnostics. Bought for peanuts with know auto gear box issue. They were very thorough and came up with a couple of gear box fault codes. On further investigation they said there was a problem with the turbo which could impact on the gears also. They gave me a quote for just looking at the box and also costs for other bits. They were very honest and confirmed my worse case scenario of don't spend any money on it other than obvious consumables I won't. A case of drive it till it drives no more. TBH only bought as a temporary vehicle for some building jobs and trips to the dump. Usual cheaper than hiring a van and/or skip. A1 first class would recommend very highly to friends and colleagues. Not sure what their prices are compared to other companies but certainly honest and upfront.

I was told by the large dealership that supplied my used car that it was uneconomical to repair when the automatic gearbox failed just out of warranty. Thank goodness I contacted Devon Gearbox Centre to talk it through with them. A clear explanation of my options and the likely cost involved led to the vehicle being collected, assessed and repaired in a few days.Very pleased with the service given which saved me from buying a replacement vehicle.

I have never dealt with this company before although a few contacts said they were good. I had a failure on my Mercedes ML which I thought was the gearbox as I had a complete drive failure and the car has done high miles. I went to the site and was met by Paige at the desk. Paige was extremely helpful and friendly and gave good customer service which included giving details of a gent who would pick up the merc and deliver it to the site at a very reasonable price. We agreed to get the Vehicle to them for an inspection to see what the issue was. One thing I like is honesty from garages as you can be told anything about a fault if your not very knowledgeable about vehicles. What I thought was wrong was not correct and the repair/replacement was far less than expected. Car drives perfect again excellent job done. I would highly recommend DGB centre. They are busy so you may need to be patient which I believe is well worth it. Thanks to Paige ,Dad and ther crew.

Brilliant customer service! Our car's gear box had gone last year. We originally took our car back to the "specialists" in Lee Mill, they were very rude and didn't want to help, nor even speak to me. So my wife took our car down to these chaps (DJ Transmissions) and they went out of their way, above and beyond to help. They repaired the vehicle within 3/4 working days. Very professional, kind and an all round brilliant experience.

Very knowledgeable guys, Used the right oils and seals for my car which they are only too happy to provide you with a little series of printouts to show whats going to happen to your car. Recommended Oils used which aren't always what other garages will use such as going for the correct Mercedes oil for my Chrysler 300C Instead of using ATF4 which is a cheaper (and incorrect) alternative ;) If you've a Decent car and wish to protect that Automatic gearbox you've got from Mercedes or other high end manufacturers then I can only recommend these guys within the plymouth area. 10/10 will be doing it again in 40k miles , great work guys keep it up
