A big thank you to the lads at Gunnislake garage my audi a6 developed a binding brake calliper day before we was due to travel 300 miles home..all garages i rang before couldnt get me in until next day and said would have to leave it with them.. but the lads at Gunnislake got car in at 10 am was all done by 12:30 new calliper fitted. I even said they can fit a new set of rear pads if car needs it but they said it didn't need it so no pushy upsell they gave a recommendation to say brake pipe might need replacing in nr future due to corrosion instead of trying to sell sell like most garages seem to do nowadays.... all in all a good quality speedy service with a professional approach at a verry reasonable price ... big thanks...... We were on holiday in the area last week when my brakes decided to sound like the first Slipknot album. At first I tried to map a route from Gunnislake to my home town of Birmingham in such a way that would prevent me needing to use the brakes at all, however, considering that most of Gunnislake appears to be built on a vertical cliff side this seemed impossible so I began the arduous task of “who can rip me off the least” and began making enquiries into local garages that could provide a speedy service, hopefully still leaving me with at least one kidney. After being quoted in the area of £300 and at least 2 days for the repair by various other garages in the area, all hope seemed lost until, when driving past their advert on one of the local buildings, I thought “I’ll just try one more” and I am VERY glad I did. Not only was I greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the phone (a rarity as in my experience most mechanics attend the same customer service course as doctors receptionists) I was simply told that they would be more than happy to do it the very next day (it was 5pm when I phoned!). I took the car in at 8.30 the next morning as directed and was once again greeted by friendly and professional service and they immediately took the car in and ordered the required parts. The parts arrived within 30 minutes and another 30 minutes later it was all done. Of course, I expected to pay a premium for this and began to apply my wife’s lipstick when I was informed that the total bill was over £100 LESS than everywhere else I’d been quoted! Fearing the mechanic had sucommed to carbon monoxide poisoning I questioned this and he indeed confirmed the price was correct - he also mentioned that this particular brake repair was one of the more expensive ones he’d seen (it certainly wasn’t the most I’d experienced...) and I was on my way. Ridiculously speedy service & ridiculously good price! Gunnislake Garage really do put all the other garages to shame! I’d even be tempted to drive from Birmingham to see them for any further work that needs doing! Well done! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We travelled down from Wakefield to gunnislake In Cornwall for our Easter holiday when our car broke down on arrival. Gunnislake garage came recommend. I can not speak highly enough if them.
