Massive thank you. Had a issue with a battery failure whilst on holiday (from Manchester) managed to get a jump and get it here (which was very lucky as we were at the aquarium around the corner) it was a Sunday and explained the issue and travelling back tomorrow. They were straight on it ensuring they had the battery and installing straight away.. Many many thanks... You made what could have been a stressful situation much easier for me and my family.

We drove to plymouth for holiday and we are completely starnger to this beautiful areas,unfkrtunately on our 2nd day ,the car from front tyres areas started making screeching noise as if it was somewhat scary , went all nearby garage no luck all busy , went 4 or 5 car garage servi e places all rejected ,which is quite understandable in last minute , we luckily drove to the halford in alexander 122 , we went to reception and yhe gentleman said they were really busy ,i told them we are not from here around and came from reading for holiday , the gentlemen referred to a very professional mechanics sir KEVIN , who was human first and mechanics later he showed compassion checked the issue droce few minutes and fix things for us , he was incredibly helpful despite fhey were fully booked ,they choose to help some stranded people and help out , i really appreciate kevin abd the reception gentleman , this place is not just a garage ,its a place where people are very compassionate , sorry for my bad english not my first lanaguave but i felt kevin needs a huge appreciation

After being let down by another garage, I popped into Halfords to book an MOT, the chap I spoke to (I think he was called John) was so friendly and helpful and was even able to book my MOT for the same day, as it was a Saturday I wasn't expecting such fast and efficient service. I'm really impressed and would definitely use this garage again. Big thumbs up from me!

We had our MOT carried out and it was easy booking etc, when we dropped the keys off it was a rushed 'key please' welcome. We dropped the car off with no issues at all but when I got a call back I was told there was a warning that came on, it didn't happen on collection and not again, they described the problem on the phone briefly to me but when my partner picked the car up It was very dismissive and not much was said about the issue even though it was brought up. Can't complain about the work but the attitude could be improved.

Had my very old, bashed up C1 in for its first MOT with me. Had problems as expected, but kudos to staff member Tulin for being 1) incredibly friendly and approachable 2) explaining the process 3) offering advice with a dodgy brake pipe. Easy to book in and staff give you an accurate quote up front with no pressure to get the work done. You pay a bit more here for convenience, but as someone who works away 5 days a week, knowing I can book in for a weekend and get work done is worth it to keep me on the road.

Best price for the tyres I wanted, service seems good, polite, friendly and helpful. Took a long time to get done thought? With Covid it was an appointment/time slot to do all four tyres and front alignment. Booked an 11:30am slot and it took just over 2.5 hours to be done which is the longest I've experienced for a tyre change. More than happy with the overall experience but I'd have something specific to do while you wait.

Quoted over £800 to replace catalytic converter, took it to another independent garage and was quoted £300. Also on their health check form they quoted my tyres as been 61% when they were replaced less than a month ago so that seems unlikely. But staff were really friendly and helpful and quick turnaround time on the car.

The guy R. K. John (MOT inspector) was really experienced and gave advisory of the issue I was noticing myself. The garage I took before the MOT to understand the issue couldn't diagnose the issue in my BMW and suggested to replace the whole suspension whereas only the tie rod needed replacing. Booked in pointing out that I’m caring for a very vulnerable person and wanted no contact. Was advised that would be no problem by the manager (Neil). On arrival there was some mix up as the workers told me to go into the office. Eventually Neil came out and all was sorted. I’d left all my details on a piece of paper in the car. Neil called up with some extra work that we might want doing. He called just after lunch to say car was ready, I paid over the phone. When I arrived at the garage, Neil appeared out of his office, to say keys are in the car. The invoice was sent by email and there were even photos attached of the car. Though not sure what they proved, except there was one with everything covered. Would have been nice to have photos of the parts being replaced. Overall a very good experience and would definitely go back.

Neil and Carl at Exeter Street, Plymouth as usual gave exemplary customer service and my Major Service was finished promptly and efficiently. They rang to say I had a seized brake part and I gave them permission to renew it if necessary. However, when I collected the car, they had managed to free the brake slider and greased it. They could have renewed it, as I had given the go ahead for them to do so, but they were honest and saved me over £50. Of course I'll be back - not just for the free brake pad replacement guarantee (I've just had my third free set) but for their integrity and honesty. Thanks guys!

Great service from Halfords Auto Centre in Sutton Road Plymouth. From the Halfords simple on-line booking system for my recent Air-Con Diagnosis £34.99) which I paid for up front on-line through to the polite staff and their communication once the diagnosis was complete. I authorised the regass by phone and collected my vehicle within 3 hours of dropping it off. I received my invoice which included both the diagnosis fee and the cost of the regas. Such a relief to have my Air-Con back during this hot weather! Well done Halfords.

I signed up for a free MOT voucher back in September 2018. It was still valid so I was pleased to redeem it and receive a MOT. I punctured my tyre the other day on a wall(rather embarrassingly) but needed it sorted ASAP as I had to travel the next day. I rang Halfords (and I think it was Nigel) who squeezed me in even though they were very busy and managed to repair my wheel so I only had to pay for the tyre. I am a regular customer for Halfords and always use them when possible. As a young woman I am always worried about being ripped off but I find the team at Halfords are really kind and explain things simply and I understand why things need to be done.i never feel overcharged. Went for Cam belt change. Dropped off in the morning, ready by mid-afternoon but was unable to pick up due to work. I had already informed Halfords of this and they stored it on the premises overnight. Paid through instalment plan which made it more comfortable as never the cheapest of jobs.

Between Tulin and Tabi you couldn't want a more welcoming and professional start to your engaging their garage services for your vehicle , I have a chrysler 300c with a massive german v6 diesel in it which various BIG name garages have passed on as "too much trouble". Not so with halfords exeter st I can promise you, they've looked after my vehicle twice now providing pinpoint diagnostics and fantastic advice for further action on my car, maybe not the cheapest garage I will grant you but I will tell you this for free. The cheaper garages I've been to leave me coming back again and again due to work not being finished correctly or diagnostics not being accurate enough by part swappers not trained mechanics and diagnosticians. 10/10 THEY will see my girl again and I won't go elsewhere in plymouth for my maintenance and repair needs

MOT Appointment was for 9.30am. Car dropped off at 9.10am. Car was ready at 2.15pm. The Manager had 2 mobile numbers on his paperwork. I told him told him which one to ring when the car was ready. He rang the other one and therefore no answer. He didn't even try and ring the correct one. All this time I was walking around plymouth City centre waiting for a phone call. At approx. 11.30 I called into the centre to see the Manager. He told me he tried to contact me, on the wrong phone number!!!! The car had failed. Needed 2 new front tyres. I told him to fit 2 new ones straight away. He told me it would be another 2 hours to get the tyres and half an hour to fit them. I returned at 2pm to collect the car ( no phone call). Now I had to wait a further half an hour for the paperwork to be completed. "Sorry about the wait" said the Manager. Here endeth the saga.

Had free MOT voucher for Halfords Autocentre after making a purchase at one of their stores last year. I was slightly sceptical about going to Halfords as a big name I was worried they might rip be off. Regardless I had MOT completed there- It failed but the Halfords colleague was very helpful and explained what needed to be done. They had completed the work within the afternoon. One of my advisories was to have my headlights cleaned - he explained it would be cheaper to buy a cleaning in pack in one of the Halfords stores rather than getting them to do it- saving me money. Labour cost was slightly dearer than my usual garage hence the four stars. Overall a good experience at Halfords Autocentre, Exeter Street.

Contrary to the other feedback, I had a very good experience. I needed to change a tyre onto another rim and after being sent away at kwikfit (where we would have had to buy a new tyre due to the company's policy) and going to another place which turned out to be closed on Sundays after all, we were helped very quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price at Haldords. Halfords Autocentre in Exeter Street- always professional, always on time and always honest as oppose to the complete & utter bull***t service provided by VOSPERS Marsh Mills Plymouth who charge you nearly £10 for.....putting plastic film over your steering wheel- Halfords do it free of charge. I noticed Vospers Plymouth misinform customers about the need to replace certain vehicle parts in order to charge you more for servicing. Perhaps other auto centres should learn how it should be done from Halfords. Thanks guys & girls for your hard work, it is very much appreciated.

A customer of this AutoCentre for about ten years, that must say something! Neil and his team have done a great job looking after my vehicles. Today’s visit was with my 1986 Ford Escort MK4 XR3i which required a Manifold Gasket fitted, including new bolts, four Firestone tyres and an MoT. The work was carried out with the coordination of Neil (Manager) who is extremely helpful. As usual the work was professionally done, in a timely manner, and at an affordable price.
