I cant thank ADS enough for the wonderful service provided on my Audi S2 Coupe. The car has had a complete refurbishment of all subframes, brakes, suspension, clutch and engine diagnostics. I had my golf r estate remapped to stage 1 by the guys at ADS and I could not be happier. I had a long-standing turbo issue with my T5 Transporter BiTDi that multiple “specialists” had been unable to identify. ADS were recommended to me by another diagnostic service in my area that had been unable to identify the issue. ADS performed a thorough and structured investigation and identified and rectified the issue. They kept me informed of the status and next steps of the investigation throughout. I’m delighted with their service and the outcome, I just wish I knew of them 18 months ago!

I took our VW Polo to ADS after our usual mechanic failed to isolate a problem with the braking system. ADS were able to locate the problem and after replacing a few defective parts completed the repair. Throughout the process I was kept informed on progress. My Dad and I were visiting the Lake District and took a trip to Wensleydale for the day. Whilst following an almost new Range Rover we could smell a strong smell of unburnt fuel. When the Range Rover turned off we sped up a little and the smell disappeared. On arriving at our destination the smell was profuse so I looked user the bonnet to find that fuel was spraying out from the fuel rail. After calling my insurance and being told that we would be rescued within 2 hours I thought "Where are they going to take my prized possession (A 505bhp Audi TTRS Plus). I called Lake Distrixt Audi and was in no uncertain term told that the bonnet wouldnt even be lifted for 2 weeks. (How's that for customer service!! 🤬) I then contacted QS Tuning where I had had the car tuned where Kim Collins kindly gave me 3 garages in the vicinity that may be able to help), though advised extreme caution with regards to starting or driving the car after being sent a video of what was happening. I called the first one, a company by the name of ADS Ltd, who specialise in VW Audi. I was created with voice of a very concerned Dave Massey who said if I could get the car to them then they would be only too happy to take a look. Given that we had driving almost 35 miles with the problem we packed a small parachute bag containing essentials in case we had to make a swift exit! On arriving at ADS, no-one could believe that we had managed to drive the 56 miles with so much fuel spewing from the fuel rail. Dave was SO helpful....If I tell what he actually did you would never believe me....so far as to say he took of us out for lunch, yes, that's correct, for lunch whilst relaying info and instructions to the garage. On our return Dave organised a private rental car (calling four companies for the best deal) and sent us on our way telling us not to worry and to continue with our holiday. Now for the really bad bit. Dave ordered one of only two parts in the country which was needed to remedy the problem.....one of the fuel rails. The following day it arrived with them. The correct box, correct part number and THE WRONG PART! (Thank you Audi!) So the second one was ordered to be delivered the following day and guess what? The the correct box, the correct part number and yet again, THE WRONG PART! Everyone was fuming.....Audi....you need too sort yourselves out...quickly! Yet Dave had an idea. Working next door to a company that had the means to pressure test items, he brazed the part up and had it pressure tested. (I understand that this pipe hold fuel up to 160bar!!) We had a call later that day to say that the car was up and running and that they had even cleaned the engine bay! Now, when asked about "service" we all expect "good service", but ADS and Dave's service was absolutely exceptional! We all hope to find people like this but unfortunately there aren't many of them around. A huge thankyou to all at ADS, you literally saved our holiday. 😁

Trust is so important these days... I've had an issue with the steering on my A5 for a good few months and have lost all faith in the main dealer and a local wheel alignment centre. I contacted Dave at ADS and he said no matter what, they'd fix it. I was introduced to Lee when I took the car in. Great "no nonsense" guy who wanted to understand what was happening (yes, he actually took time to listen) then started with the basics. He took it for a test drive, agreed there was a problem and put it on the ramps then spent half an hour doing an initial inspection - noting some damage from a previous minor bump on the front nearside. The tyres were shot because of the faulty alignment so he suggested I go get two new tyres on it (absolutely no issues with me using my usual local tyre supplier) then bring it back the following week. No charge. Seriously. I took it back today, Lee took it for another test drive with the new tyres fitted and agreed there was still an issue. Martin did the 4 wheel alignment, took it for another test drive, did a final tune of the 4 wheel alignment then came with me on another test drive to make sure it was all sorted to my satisfaction. What a service! Not only that, but Dave gave me the use of his office (I was 10 miles from home), kept me supplied with copious amounts of fresh coffee and kept me company for an hour. Just good, honest guys (not forgetting Donna) who love doing what they do. I for one won't be going back to the Audi main dealers for any work to be done in the future. ADS has a new and loyal customer. Thanks for everything guys.

Really good customer service. Had my car in for a health check and ADS identified several item that needed sorting. They had a quote over to me quickly, talked me through what needed doing and why it needs doing. The garage was busy so my works ran a little over the estimated time but the communication about this was good and they made up for this by delivering the car back to me. Diagnosed & replaced EGR valve. Excellent service from David & the team at ADS from start to finish. Identified the fault quickly & gave me a full run down of costs & any other things that could crop up. Got on with the job, found a couple of small issues, let me know & got them sorted at the same time. Car was ready for collection earlier than I expected & they told me to pop in for a quick check up on the ramp a week or so later to verify that there weren't any problems. A five star rating doesn’t actually feel sufficient when rating ADS as a whole and in particular Dave Massey. I was looking for a suitable specialist to remap my Audi A5 3.0TDI, I spent several months researching the market for a specialist that I could put my trust in. I finally give Dave a call and discussed what I was hoping to achieve, I had a fairly specific set of wishes including an idle correction, Dave was very knowledgeable and instantly put my mind at ease in relation to the proposed work, I arranged to drop the vehicle off, on arrival to the garage I was blown away by the almost clinical level of cleanliness, the attention to detail and the level of customer services I received was absolutely excellent. We discussed my requirements in detail and I left the vehicle with them feeling confident It was in the right hands, I was regularly updated during the day as to progress and arranged to collect the vehicle at 4.30pm. I arrived as planned and was greeted in the same manner as before, I was given a full account of the the work carried out and left extremely happy with the results and to be honest they actually exceeded my expectations. On every level this was a fantastic experience from a truly fantastic team of people, if you require the type of service that ADS offer, then please give them an opportunity, you honestly wont find better.

Took my BMW 116d down for remapping and health check after a recommendation. The service I received was second to none, guys kept me fully informed throughout the process. Facilities were spotless and looked amazing. At the end of the day I got back my remapped car with amazing performance and full explanations of what they had done. First time we’ve used ADS, had a suspension upgrade, engine remapping and service on our VW T6 Transporter. A must read! this is a little long winded but please read on. After spending £400 on labour, with an Audi dealership to be told they couldn't locate my sat nav fault and needed two more hours to investigate, the issue, I was losing a little faith. then they called me to say it need a new system at a cost of £4500 plus vat. I decided not to bother. I was then pointed in the direction of ADS Automotive. over a phone call they told me they could diagnose the fault with one hour at a fixed cost. I duly got my A5 booked in and when I met the technician he asked me exactly what the issue was, my reply of "sat nav thinks I'm underwater" gave him the first indication even before he had started the test. " I bet its the shark fin antenna on the roof , 9 times out of 10 if that sat nav says that it indicates this problem " Guess what? 15 minutes later he confirmed the issue and also highlighted another fault Audi had missed. Concerned about the cost I asked for a quote. "worst case scenario is £1500 plus vat" relieved I agreed to go ahead. So, two days ago I dropped the car off and was told to return two days later at 10 am. As I drew up 10.15 am my car was been washed by the owner of ADS and was ready. Now, I was told there was a lot of labour involved as the roof lining and lots of trim needed removing and re fitting so was prepared for up to 8 hours labour costs To sum things up, To repair my sat nav and also an agreed additional cost of around £200 to upgrade the system with the most up to date European routes, the whole job from Start to finish has cost £1026. INCLUDING VAT. Cleaned and washed by the owner. updated by technician called me twice during repair to keep me updated. Polite and very knowledgeable after service on reception. Cost much less than the quote. What really concerns me however, is Audi were prepared to charge me £4500 .( and diagnosed the wrong part). I could have paid that and still had a fault. I travelled from Cumbria to Preston for this repair, my local dealer is less than a 5 minute drive from my home. The moral of this story is "You don't always get what you pay for". Audi!!!!!! you need to learn from this company. Very well done. Kind regards Richard English.

Took my Q3 for it's first service outside of a main dealer since buying the car from new. Car had 83k on the clock and presumed it had had the best care at the main dealers. In addition to the service completed by ADS a number if other issues were highlighted which required quite a bit of work. All though the work took longer than originally planned I was kept fully updated and made aware of the work that was needed. When I collected the car Dave talked me through the work and showed me the parts which had been replaced and the reasons for the replacement. My car felt really healthy after the work and I am more than happy to take my car back to ADS for any future work. Recommended.

Took my Skoda Rapid in on Tuesday 10th march to have a stage 1 remap. Phoned up beforehand and everything was explained to me and any questions I had answered very professionally but also explained so I understood exactly what happened. Took the car in Tuesday morning and by lunchtime it was ready. The remap has made a huge difference to the car, much more lively to drive and slightly more economical. The car had a health check carried out first and I was contacted via phone for any queries the garage had during the work. They discovered that I needed a new Timing Chain Tensioner (the car rattled badly when starting cold). Very kindly they gave me the number of a more local garage, but they couldn't fit me in until the weekend. Spoke to ADS on the Wednesday, and was able to have the car booked in Friday 13th March. Again, very professional and friendly phone-call, everything was explained clearly. Took the car in, and again by lunchtime it was ready. The garage itself is immaculate. Honestly never seen a garage so clean! Cannot fault my two experiences there and happily recommend it. Will use again!

Great guys, very knowledgeable and clearly know their stuff. I had a problem with my A4 TFSI that I couldn't get to the bottom of. ADS were thorough, patient and definitely clued up. The drive from Wirral to ADS, to me, was worth it because my car was in good hands. Top customer service and technical knowledge. I took my Ford Focus in just after the New Year because one of the fuel injectors needed replacing. Scott in the office was very obliging and knowledgeable. Dave who did the work did a great job, and he explained to me what was wrong with the old injector. The car is running very sweetly now. I recently bought an Audi A3 e-tron from a dealer in Derby and had it checked with a local Audi main dealer, both issuing incorrect reports after "health checks". I've known Dave @ ADS for around 10 years. In that time, he has remapped a car for me and repaired electrical faults on a few other cars that nobody else could. One of which being my mums Audi TT. Went into a few other garages and nobody could rectify the check engine light illuminating every few weeks. Dave had the car for 2 days, sorted the fault out, and we got the car back running 100% better than it ever had. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and the team at ADS to anyone. First class service. He also has a reputation throughout the Motor trade as being one of the best around. As for other questionable reviews about poor service, I don't believe that for a minute. I know plenty of people that have used ADS with no issues at all.

Ads Automotive have offered a first class service. I needed to replace my steering column on my Bmw i phoned on Friday and Dave booked me in on the same day. Scott kept me updated throughout the process although I supplied the wrong part they were more than happy to wait until I got the right part. I took my 1998 audi 80 cabriolet to ADS with a faulty electric hood. I had previously searched Google and many audi forums to find a solution. I left the car with ADS hoping they would be able to find the fault and repair it. Talk about going above and beyond,their diagnostic man Dave took a 160 odd page document home and read it from cover to cover in his own time to get an understanding of how the hood worked and the wiring diagram. Thankfully the time spend doing this help him find the fault and repair it. I would not hesitate to use ADS again. Great customer service.

The guys at ADS installed a Revo Stage 1 map on my car today (2016 Skoda Superb 2.0 tsi 220bhp DSG). It’s now at 320bhp and pulls like mad, much smoother and just more engaging to drive in general. It was completed very quickly and they were very knowledgeable / kept me informed throughout the process whilst I waited upstairs, had a coffee and chilled out. Took my Q7 to have an oil leak sorted and guessed it was the main oil seal - it turned out not to be but I wouldn't have been any wiser if told it was. Great to find a garage that you can trust they won't try and take advantage of a client's ignorance, only do the work that is necessary and charge a fair price. For All Audi A4 3.0 tdi owners (and presumably other models with the same engine) who are suffering from the dreaded 'swirl-flap / inlet manifold problem', I have found the best solution... Give the guys at ADS a call! I was quoted from other Audi specialists, about £1600 to replace both sides of the inlet manifold. ADS can replace the internal components, instead of the whole inlet manifold, for about £1000 less! My car now runs as well as it's ever done, with no more restricted performance and annoying engine management light! I did have a minor issue a couple of days later (related to the job) which was also sorted out at short notice, with the minimum of fuss, and maximum efficiency. The whole experience I had with ADS, from initial contact,the knowledge of the staff,the quality of the work and the customer service, was top class. Highly recommended and I won't hesitate to use them again In the future.

Bmw m4 went into a main dealer with loss of power and they ran full diagnostics and took the car out twice to run tests and were unable to find any problems with the car after having it for almost 2 days. After having the car a year I knew that something wasn’t right, called ADS and they took the car in the next day and within a couple of hours they had run tests out on the road and realised it was down on power. After inspection they realised that the main hoses to the turbo were loose (not sure how BMW couldn’t find this but here we are), tightened them all then ran further road tests and power restored. Had my car back same day, very knowledgeable and would highly recommend.

I just wanted to take the time to leave a bit of a review, not usually being one to leave feedback as people expect different things so I always tend to take them with a pinch of salt. However, over the last 12 months I’ve had my fair share of work carried out by the team at ADS. Starting out with an oil filter housing and more recently a full carbon clean with a few added goodies to sharpen the driving experience. Upon every visit to the work shop with a query regarding something, I have been greeted by the upmost respectful and helpful people I have met in the motor trade. Your customer care and communication is second to none, whether it be diagnosing an issue and relaying this to myself, as this has always left me in the knowledge that my car is in the most capable hands, to querying which hardware would be the best solution for the issue I may be having. In my most recent visit I dropped the car off on the Monday for a carbon clean, a replacement engine mount and a powerflex dogbone insert. Upon commencement of the work it was noted that a few items elsewhere had deteriorated and were showing signs of being past their best. Scott, who is now probably applying for a restraining order to be put in place against myself, continuously communicated any hiccups and problems along the way explaining exactly what the issue was and the items he was planning to order. Communicating with Scott through social media I saw evidence of these parts, and the excellent care I was receiving rather than a simple dismissal that it wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t changed. The original time scale was pushed back further than expected due to these issues, as well as a handful of others regarding the injectors and fuel pump/fuel pressure sensor however I was informed daily of the progress that was being made and the effort you where all going to troubleshooting various hardware to establish the underlying issue. Finally, collection day. A week had passed, I was finally collecting the car after what felt like a life time. I turned up and was immediately greeted by Scott. I took a seat and he ran me through absolutely everything that had been carried out on my vehicle in the time that it had been in the work shop, the work that wasn’t originally planned and how it would benefit the car down the line as well as the enhancements I had requested to be carried out when I initially booked the car in. I was then instructed to then look over the car by a gent with a beard, I can’t remember his name. He gave a slightly more technical description of the work he himself had carried out, it was clear at this point the effort he had gone of cleaning up the whole engine bay for me making it look better than new upon collection. All in all I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved with my car last week, as well as everyone who has been involved previously. As a customer it’s clear to see that everyone who works at ADS is not only proud of what they do but hugely passionate. If you wouldn’t mind passing this on with a massive thank you it would be greatly appreciated 👍🏽

looking through Audi Tuner magazine, I saw a feature on a company, not far from me, that are authorised dealers for Milltek and REVO (amongst others) – both of whose products I wished to use on my 2012 S3 Sportback – that company is ADS (Preston). I looked at the website and read the reviews by existing customers - glowing comments abound. Reading further, it soon became obvious that the ADS crew are well respected both by customers and their professional peers. The fact that respected companies such as REVO, Milltek, Akrapovic and MTM et al are more than happy to have them as authorised dealers, gives a level of confidence rarely found in tuning circles! I then discussed my requirements with ADS (Annette and Peter) – believe me, these guys know their stuff – and ordered a Milltek Exhaust and REVO panel filter. Having the exhaust fitted was an absolute pleasure – and that comes from someone who stresses about anyone touching my pride and joy! The job was done to the highest professional standard – and – I was treated like a long standing friend as well as a valued customer (this cordiality and professionalism is extended to every customer according to the fellow customer that I shared the – well appointed – waiting room with). Whilst waiting, I was able to discuss my future requirements with David and Peter – who both gave me invaluable advice on how best to enhance my vehicle. Needless to say, ADS will be looking after ALL the work done on my car – I have also asked them to look after the servicing needs. They are motor engineers – a rare and comforting find. These guys (and Gal) simply love cars (especially Audis) and their jobs…they deserve all the success that, surely, will come their way… ...quick update...just had a REVO Stage 1 re-map done - by David - performed with typical professionalism and attention to detail. Dave and his team thoroughly examined a recently purchased Audi TT TDI Quattro and replaced the oil/filters in the engine and oil in the Haldex system to give it a clean bill of health. They also remapped the ECU to a Revo stage 1 and the TT really pulls now. It drives like a petrol and now, instead of flat lining around 2500RPM, it eagerly keeps pulling to redline. The acceleration is stunning and yet i'm still getting the same fuel economy: what's not to like? Bang for bucks it is a very, very competitive purchase for 30+ extra BHP. Great job and a big thanks to everyone at ADS. P.S. 4 months on I have gone from an average MPG of 40.7 to 42.2, so the MPG does improve a decent amount whilst across the range acceleration improves significantly. Very happy :)

Dave is a legend. Had S4 remapped last week. Now had the spark plugs and Revo induction kit fitted. Check out the supercharger whine!! Added to this Dave reprogrammed the car so I now have the full dynamic menu on a 2013 model.
