Used this garage for the first time this week and I have to say the service was impeccable. AJ is an absolute legend - when I was getting the problem diagnosed he even told me not to worry about the money and just let him see if he could get the job done first! Car was fixed in a matter of hours and for what I thought was a very reasonable price. AJ was a really friendly guy and happy to answer any questions I had. I’ll definitely be going back for any other car problems in the future!

Booked in with 4 Bays due to them providing the best quote for the ‘job’ as my car failed it’s MOT (from a seperate garage). 4 Bays inspected the car and advised that the car didn’t have the fault listed on the failed MOT. They put the car back together and advised me on how to proceed, all for very cheap! Good honest service and great to support a local business.

Great and prompt service every time at a competitive price. On a few occasions, the team at 4bay has highlighted unnecessary work recommended by main dealers, which is another reason this garage is my go to after a service or MOT finding.

Highly recommend. I just had a service done with another company and told me there was an issue with gear box. I called 4 Bays and spoke to AJ he asked me to pop in so they could take it for a spin. Within 2 seconds he could hear the fault with the bearings (I couldn't). As my car isn't that old but out of warranty, it hasn't done many miles he advised me to take it back to Vauxhall as the part shouldn't be failing. If Vauxhall doesn't assist this company will definitely get my business. This is very friendly company and felt reassured with the services they provide. Thanks AJ

Very positive experience with them. I had a scratch on my rear door; I had obtained several quotes from other garages prior to going to them - they were all north of £200. I was first referred to 4bays a number of years ago and since then I now take all of the family vehicles to them. I won't take my cars anywhere else. Not only do you get a fantastic service, you can be fully assured that the work done will be to an exceptionally high standard. My main car (Honda Accord) now has almost 300,000 miles on the clock and is still driving like new. They always let you see the work that is being done and if there is ever a problem with the odd part within the warranty period, it has been replaced free of charge. I can't thank the team at 4bays enough for the work they do and the service they provide.

My convertible's roof got stuck so I phoned the garage who kindly stayed open so that I could park my car securely overnight. It was also due an Mot and the clutch was going. They kept me informed throughout, updated me on costs and managed to get my car up and running. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.

Excellent job done by 4 bays. I had 2 issues with the my car. Gearbox issues and engine oil leak. Both problems were properly diagnosed and fixed. Reliable and trust worthy. The boss is very experienced guy and he personally gets involved in diagnosing and repairing your car unlike other centres where the work is usually undertaken by inexperienced guys. From now my 'local mechanic' is 4 bays. I won't hesitate to use again if needed for any future servicing , repairs etc. I recommend 100%. Reasonable price and good quality work.

I had my car fixed 2 weeks ago and my car has been working fine. My gas was leaking and I had pipe and a pump valve replaced for 200 pounds. I managed to get an appointment the day before. The thing that i really liked about 4 bays is that they call you up to inform you of the prices before fixing it. I would go back to them.

I had to do a lot of body work for my Ford C-MAX as the rear bumper was smashed up along with paint being scrapped across a few places. 4 Bays did a very good job in a reasonable time and I am very happy with what I had. Great garage. The guys here have been able to deal with all kinds of issues I’ve had with my car from a broken electric window to new springs with a really quick turnaround. I find they are priced well but could improve their transparency with prices.

I have been using these guys for years and they always do a spot on job. I drive a 350z and whatever part they have replaced over the years, is still going strong. There is a long list of jobs they've done for me at a very competitive price. In addition to regular servicing, I've had my clutch replaced which is not an easy job on the 350, new brake disks and pads on all corners, replacement pads when needed (50k + miles out of one set). I've had annoying squeaky brakes in the past which they have resolved (took a lot of work on their part, known issue with the brembo's), I've had upgrades to braking system (braided brake lines) + a full brake fluid renewal with nothing less than dot 4, this made such a big difference to the stopping power that I wished I'd had it done sooner. More recently, the rear bearings needed replacing, again not an easy job and now it's done, the silence is bliss. They have also saved me hundreds of pounds by saving me from having to buy a new exhaust! can't ask for better than that!. I've had a full services from these guys which has saved me hundreds compared not only to main dealers but specialists! The last time they serviced the car, the fuel economy (not that you can worry about such things) actually went up, bonus!. The radiator fan is another known part to fail (read the forums), I don't know anyone that has managed to refurb the existing part, the forums always advise replacing the part which can cost hundreds, I couldn't find a part quick enough so Ajay actually refurbed the fan. He's told me it will fail again eventually but it's still working (months later). It has given me the time to find a cheaper part (who wants to spend over £800 on a fan and shroud?, not me) so that when it does fail, it can be replaced straight away. I will always use these guys as they've passed the acid test every time without fail. If there were 6 stars, that's what I'd give them.

I have used 4 Bays garage since 2007 after moving in nearby and they have serviced and fixed my private and company vehicles ever since. I took my Clio 182 to 4 bays with a misfire. They told me what was needed, I supplied the plugs and coil pack and they replaced and fixed everything while I waited for £25 and talked me through what they were doing. Friendly service, quick service.

Do not hesitate to use this guy, absolute gold dust, old school mechanic who knows his stuff and is able to repair instead of just replace components until the problem is remedied....as main dealers only seem able to do. Had a gearbox failure and rather than replace the box as dealer could only advise, box stripped and faulty components replaced. Not only pleased to support independent businesses but ended up being half the price of a new box anyway, 3000 miles later still sweet as. Can't recommend this garage enough, many thanks.

I took my car in for the routine MOT check and found that the service was excellent. They went to what I would consider as above and beyond the usual in being helpful. Excellent service and repair. My car (ford mondeo) was having judder for a long time (1 year) and 4 Bays properly diagnosed and fixed it. I liked the way they approached to find the root cause. For the past 1 year I was struggling to get a proper diagnosis for this issue by many other reputed garrages. None of them were unable to find the root cause. Excellent service. Called at 3:30 on a Saturday, they saw me within the hour to change brake discs and pads. Didn't have the parts so waited for me to get parts and come back then did the work for the price quoted on the phone. Totally recommend this place, will be going back for all work here.

I tried removing the manifold from my Toyota Yaris on a Saturday evening. There was one bolt giving me trouble - it was rusted and rounded and I couldn't grip it with anything. After getting frustrated with this, I Googled "garages reading". 4 bays came up amongst others and I saw the good reviews. I phoned them and they told me to bring the car straight down (this was on the Saturday evening - couldn't believe my luck). I left the car in, walked into town and got a coffee, they rang me in a few hours and I collected the car soon after. Good job, friendly people (you'll get a laugh or two from there), I got a wee discount (sorry guys - now everyone will expect that - just joking). These guys aren't messers, they're the real deal - you'll get what you want done, reasonably priced, very efficiently. Kenneth

Proper mechanics who don't rip you off. They tell you exactly what the problem is and give you the options to fix it. I had a wee problem - a noise in the aircon. They could fix it gold plated style for a couple hundred or fix it like a proper mechanic can for much less. I had been to a dealership with the same problem and been told the gold plated option was the only option. I like options! I have used this garage now for 5 years and plan to keep on going.

They replaced my water pump and radiator for me, very quickly and did a really good job with it, no leaks or problems since. They also sorted out a gasket for the water pump. I called up on a thursday afternoon expectign to eb told to bring it round in a weeks time and was told to brign it round straight away and they would have it sorted by the next day whichw as the case. I had already ordered all the parts previously though. Charged me a reasonable rate. Would do business again there.
