Very good service. Having been using them for more than 10 years. No complains. If you want to buy your own parts before you book your car for service they will allow you to do so. You can buy the service parts when there is promotion and keep them till you take your car for the annual service. I have referred my friends as well and none have come back with complains.

Had some ongoing issues with my Audi A3 for a while now and been in and out of various garages. Being a student in Southampton and not knowing the local garages makes it hard to find one you can trust, but these guys solved the ongoing issue with my car at a great price. I will definitely be going back there for any issues in the future, and my MOT. Very professional, hardworking and friendly people.

Always honest and fair ... Will always show you the replaced and worn parts.... competitive prices... Been using them for years and won't take my car's to any other garage from now on ... Most garages will work you over some how but not these boys

I'm lucky to find a local friendly honest garage. Nothing is too much trouble including coming to get me when my clutch went. Up front about costs (which are very reasonable) I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The best garage in Southampton by far. I almost want to give a bad review so that potential customers will avoid JRL and go elsewhere.... so that JRL garage doesn't get so busy there becomes a wait to book your car in or the work is rushed and no longer to their usual high standard. But..... I'm not that selfish. Almost. But not quite Its taken me years to find a reliable garage that doesnt charge the earth and mechanics I can actually trust who will correctly diagnose any issues - and only genuine problems at that - plus who i can depend on to do a quality, expert, thorough job. As well as doing a brilliant job of fixing your car, the turnaround is surprisingly quick too. Even when I've not booked the car in and just turned up or when specialised parts are required, even then it's been completed just a day or two later. Also, you can drop your vehicle off at your convenience, for example, the night before, which can be very handy, and not all garages can accommodate this. I've never had any complaints /issues with the workmanship or with over-charging / pricing and I've been taking my vehicles to this garage for years now. I've had little hatchbacks all way through to sporty performance cars, and from older second-hand models to new cars with ECC units and sensors controlling everything. And so far there's been nothing that JRLs mechanics arent fully knowledgeable about and completely capable of fixing/ servicing or MOT'ing. I think I've used every single shoddy mechanic in Southampton area and (probably because I was a naive young girl), also been conned by a few to have work done that was either unnecessary or priced far in excess of it's true value; I've had a "wishbone" replaced 3 separate times (well, paid for it to be replaced on 3 occasions according to my invoices) on an Orion that - when I eventually sold it for scrap - still had it's original wishbone. So for me personally, a good decent mechanic is a godsend. And JRL in particular are that one in a million: refreshingly decent, reasonably priced, competent and reliable, garage. Ten out of ten

They've fixed roof sensor in my convertible! Something that none of 5 orher garages could do! Quick and not expensive! I'm grateful and relieved! Two years later still working fine!

went in with lock not working on drivers door. problem turned out to be a broken cable which they fixed for peanuts rather than charging for whole new locking assembly. They also got the rear light working despite it not being mentioned at no additional charge. can't fault them

Best Mechanic in Shirley was promised mot would been today but instead they called and said it was ready to pick up after 30 mins of being at home would always use jrl definitely the best garage in shirley
