Due to illness a member of staff wasn't there on the day I had The Grey Hound booked in, the garage carried out the work the next day, only to find out the supplier had sent the wrong clutch, so when I went to pick The Hound up it wasn't working, so the chap from New York took me home in his own car, it wasn't their fault it wasn't ready in time, I came back today and it was ready, the Hound is like a brand new car again, the staff were smashing, and the cheap price for the part and fitting was astonishing!! Brilliant!!

Mr Clutch - you’ve done right by me on a couple of occasions now. Not the most talkative bunch of people but in a strange and silent way staff have always been helpful. They are not paid for their social skills so that’s fine by me. Limited experience but no ‘upselling’ on partial exhaust fix, which I have heard is common.

After being rescued from the roadside, RAC towed my car to Mr Clutch Autocentre. The garage was very quick to start diagnostics and informed me of the full works performed when I called. Unfortunately, as it was quite an old car I didn't want to spend much on the repair and Mr Clutch Autocentre was very accomodating to my budget. Couldn't fault the garage, very honest, and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Really helped me out of a pickle, it was Saturday afternoon on a bank holiday weekend, I was just about to leave for Cambridge when I discovered my car was leaking coolant. The mechanic had me back on the road to Cambridge within 2 hours and saved my trip. Good clean work and fairly priced. Will return here when in need again

I am very surprised about the reviews that have been posted specifically about Daniel, he was very pleasant and understanding with my situation and could not have been any more professional. Daniel even went to the extent of picking up my car from my house and towed it back to the garage. My car is now fully operational and back on the road. Daniel took the time to explain the problems with my car, which I appreciated. I highly recommend Mr Clutch, as they also gave me the best price in town! Thank you.

My car got towed here by RAC yesterday. The clutch was dead! The RAC man rang them and towed it there straight away, they gave me a price upfront and told me it would be ready on Monday (it was towed there Friday evening.) I rang on Saturday at 2pm for an update and they said it would be ready by 5pm! I got a phone call at 4.40pm saying it was ready. Excellent, quick service and very professional! Thank you so much guys, I will definitely recommend you to everyone! 😁

IlMixed reports on the Portswood Road Mr Clutch - booked in. price given on that day then price was changed when vehicle was paid for. I needed the vehicle repaired so would say get prices in writing and search around for options. Job done

Car was having clutch problems. Mr clutch managed to diagnose the problem and fit a whole new clutch same day! New clutch comes with 2 year warranty and free check ups too. All for a quarter of the price that VW main dealer quoted. Highly recommend

I took my car to a well known garage this morning. for a brake check. They quoted me 600 for parts and labor and they couldn't get the parts for a week. So I phoned Mr clutch at 5pm today. they said could I come over straight away for them to look at it.. They were able to repair the part straight away for a fraction of the cost.they stayed over there closing time to help me . Amazing service by the manager. and staff for good old fashioned service that your expect from a independent garage. so needed and so hard to find I just wanted to thank them. Had my clutch done here last year in the portswood branch first time i had been here it was done in good time great price and was phoned during the job and after the job keeping me up to speed. Since then have had a service and 2 mot's one being yesterday. Also had an issue with electrics at one point and these guys found the time to put it on there scanner for me bearing in mind they aren't electricians and they were flat out busy, but still found the time for me and didn't charge me either, and gave me the required error codes I needed. Well done guys I will be back

Really nice guys! I thought I needed new break pads for my car. The guys looked at it and said I was ok and didn't need this time. I felt this was really good of them as some other garages would of been " oooo yes love all your pads and discs need doing ' and ripped me off!
