My car was repaired by Alton Cars after a crash. The repair was amazing and you couldn’t tell that there had ever been any damage which is worth 5 stars on its own. However, my insurance company had a whole load of admin issue which caused weeks of delays. Throughout this process, Jo and Sam were amazing, helped get the issues with the insurance company resolved and were great at keeping me up to date. I would recommend this company to anyone who needed repair work doing on their car

Alton Cars repaired our parked car after it was impacted by another vehicle - a real nuisance! Alton Cars helped in so many ways to make the experience as painless as possible even when it was not their responsibility (when the promised hire care did not arrive offering a ride home.) Eveyone I had dealings with was immensely professional and good humoured at all levels through the process. The whole job was expedited as quickly possible and in a friendly way to make it as easy as possible.

Alton have just carried out two repair jobs on the bodywork of our Volvo. The service they provided was first rate and the car now looks as good as new. My thanks especially to Jo for making sure we got the car back as soon as possible after the work over ran - for understandable reasons I have to say. I would have hesitation in using Alton again, but hope I never have to!

Good company, very happy with all things. 4 stars because you will hardly ever get through to the local department, often it’s leaving a voicemail and they do actually call back most times, - more office staff are clearly required to ensure customer meets are met. People in back doing work on the cars are great

Alton cars were my insurer preferred repairer. I was sceptical at first but I was reassured by my insurance that everything would be taken care of. From the day their man Ray, great bloke collected it with his truck to Jo on reception keeping me up dated and also reassuring me all will be ok, to the day I collected my car and met Jo and Ian the boss. They made sure I was happy with the car and the service I received. The paint work was excellent and a big shout out to the painter and who ever put it back together. Service was quite excellent. My VW Passat was seriously damaged in a car wash garage facility. It took just ten days to replace bumper, car door, sills, and various scrapes. It would be difficult to over-praise this company on Elvington airfield in York. I had been without a car for more than three months, but a lucky find on the internet took me to Alton Cars.

Alton Cars we’re chosen by my insurer (Aviva) as the garage to work on some bodywork damage on my car. All in all they repaired everything on my car and they were incredibly friendly and understanding throughout the process. The reason for dropping one star is due to the communications of the repair. From the time they took my car away to when I could pick it up it was just about over 3 weeks. The delay itself was something out of their hands and not a fault on their part at all (delivery delay on one of the body panels) however the communication around this wasn’t great. The completion date was changed 2/3x I think in the end, but I had to call up each time to find out it had been changed. Without me doing that I wouldn’t have known the new date or the reason why it had been delayed. Altogether though, I would use them again and recommend to friends as the work they’ve done has been exemplary and the team have been wonderful and fully understanding throughout everything.

Our Volvo was in for repairs following a minor accident. Unfortunately parts were hard to come by. Through no fault of Alton Cars. So the repairs took longer than planned. They were professional and kept me up to date throughout. On hand back of the vehicle it had been valeted, which was a pleasant surprise. Lastly the staff were all excellent to deal with and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Alton Cars to friends and family. Great work Alton Cars, especially given the current difficulties with COVID and slow supply chain.

I had my vehicle repaired @ Alton Cars YORK i couldn't have been happier the repair was fantastic just like brand new. The estimator Sam talked me through everything that was going to be done to my vehicle and made me feel very happy about a situation which in the first instance was very overwhelming. Reception team called to keep me up to date on how my vehicle was doing and again when it was complete. All in all would recommend to anyone. Cheers everyone.

Taken my van in today to get an inspection after i was run into. my first impressions are good the girl on reception was so friendly and as i was earwigging on her conversation i could hear her talking about her job with passion. then the body inspecter looked at my transit custom with the 5 star attention to detail. looking forward to getting my van being repaired....ill up date later.

I had my car repaired with Alton Cars following somebody going into the back of my car. The customer service was absolutely excellent. Every step of the way I was informed and updated as to what was happening. I had my car picked up from my place of work and a courtesy car given. My car was dropped off to me also. The work that was done was amazing. We couldn't tell what had been done, it was that good.. So so impressed and will definitely use them again should we need to! Picked up my Blue Alfa Giulia today from Alton York. Repair utterly superb ( thanks guys! ) , but my car had a flat tyre! I thought that their might be a 'negotiation' over how it happened but I had nothing but friendly banter and cooperation. Tyre fixed same day no argument. Two important things here.. quality of repair but just as important, lovely people to make the whole experience great - like Jo and Al and the other guy who's name I don't remember ( sorry! )
