At last! After years of grief at the hands of Mercedes Stealerships I have found a Mercedes Specialist who not only knows what he is doing but actually cares about your car. After being shafted in one form or another by ALL the Mercedes dealers I have dealt with; I have nothing but the highest praise for Richard Hollings of York. After three Mercedes dealers charged me a combined £1750 to extinguish my engine management light, Richard found it and fixed it in less than three hours and his charges were very fair. I was treated as a much valued client from the first phone call to them. All the staff at Richard Hollings Mercedes Independent Specialist seem to be imbued with the same admirable work ethic. I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else.

We have used Richard for a number of years with many of the cars we’ve owned. He provides sound advice and we trust him if he says that the cars needs new parts. We’ve been to the dealers previously for servicing and latterly recall jobs and have found that they provide advisory notes for things that we don’t need. I remember taking my car for a recall to the dealer and they said afterwards that I needed 2 new tyres. When I took it round to Richard’s, he says they’re not needed as there were plenty of life in them. As you can see in the photo, there’s still tread in the tyres! We trust Richard to service our cars and always get a friendly welcome from Phil on the Reception desk. The rest of the team also provide a high level of service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Please don’t get ripped off at the dealer and go straight to Richard. We have had other brands in the past and Richard has serviced them too!
